Beautiful accommodation on the best part of the island if you're looking for a quiet, chill time (still you're never far from restaurants, warungs etc.). Right beside a dive school. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Prepared us an early morning breakfast 3 days in a row to accommodate our early morning dives. We stayed an extra night because we liked it and Gili Air so much.

The whole island felt really safe as did the accommodation. Which is one reason why a lot of places have 'open air' villas (a secure door to a walled but open roof garden and then a villa inside). We felt very secure as two people sharing it but just to note in case this is a worry for you.

After spending 6 weeks on Gili Air and trying various types of accommodation over the island. Ama Lurra was our favourite and absolutely outstanding in every way. So much so, we returned to stay at the end of our trip and spend our last nights in luxury and heaven! The staff and very kind, friendly, welcoming and attentive, The location is perfect for sunsets on the beachfront. The villas are extremely private, quiet and beautifully designed and new ( completed during Covid) Comfortable beds and linen, great air con ect. I definitely recommend experiencing a “floating breakfast” in your own private pool and having a fresh cold coconut -they are delicious! We are planning on returning to Gili Air next year as a family and look forward to staying again, there is no where else on the island that ticks all the boxes! Villa 106 is our favourite, waking up to the the sound of birds, lounging in the sun under a Bougainvillea, whilst dipping in and out of the pool -heaven on earth!

Visited for my partner’s birthday. Villas are lovely, comfy bed, nice shower and it gets hot in Gili Air so was perfect to have a private pool to cool off in. The private beach area is also perfect and has comfortable seating options and amazing sunset views as it’s west facing. We were so relaxed our entire stay. The free breakfast is very good - you order from their breakfast menu not a limited hotel menu like other places. We loved it so much we extended our stay. Special mention goes to all of the staff who were so lovely and helpful. They made my boyfriend’s 30th that much more special!

One of our best stays ever. Beautiful hotel and stunning villas, the staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming, the sunset is gorgeous from their beach, it is easy to walk around to explore the island (although you need a horse carriage ride between the ferry and the hotel if you have luggages), fresh and tasty food, quiet place, an absolute recharge in their beautiful nature both mentally and physically! Options for diving, snorkeling and other activities are also available around the hotel. Breakfast was also amazing, we could just choose to order whatever we felt like eating and drinking from the menu, everything was delicious and it all came with an amazing view as the restaurant is located right on the beach.

The villa is very beautiful, with a great pool and overall excellent facilities that meet all your daily needs. Additionally, the hotel has a wonderful team that is always willing to help. It’s hard for me to name everyone, but during my 3-4 days at the hotel, Denny provided us with wonderful service and was always willing to assist. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant, with beautiful decor, and every dish we tried was delicious, especially the seafood risotto. I highly recommend this hotel!

The only thing that kept me from giving a 10 for my stay at the hotel was the air conditioning. Gili Air Island is extremely hot, and unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room isn’t able to cool the entire space. Additionally, the bathroom is located outside, making it difficult to use for much of the day due to the heat. The hotel only provides one key card per guest, which doesn’t allow you to try to “keep” the room cool.

We liked the hotel very much. It is in a lovely location where we could watch sunset everyday. The staff are amazing! They are very helpful and friendly. Especially Farid, Memet, and Gandi in the reception were always friendly, helpful and accommodating whenever we needed help. Breakfast options were very good and delicious! All the food and the drinks were great. We really enjoyed our stay there! We would definitely come back!

Bathroom design could be improved

Ama Lurra is located on a clean part of the island with the best sunset views. Room was spacious, thoughtfully designed and ultra private. We loved waking up to the delicious, organic breakfast spread on a private beach (eat for free till you’re full!) and coming home to our private pool. Staff were ever-ready to help and super friendly. Would book again in a heartbeat!

If I had to nitpick.. it’s located on the other end of the island from the port. So you’d have to walk about 20 minutes when you reach and rent an electric scooter to get around easier in the heat.

Our Villa was lovely, nice grounds & private pool. Room clean and seemed recently renovated (only say this as our friends next door had some issues). Clean drinking water provided at various points & eco friendly which we liked as it’s a small island with obviously limited resources. Staff were just delightful. Beach front restaurant position was lovely, location on west side of island provided absolutely gorgeous sunset views 🤩

Restaurant menu pretty average (staff were amazing, absolutely not their fault!) We only ever had breakfast there after first experience on arrival with no cold beer available. Seriously 😂. Room amenities very limited and nothing replenished, 1 tiny piece of soap for 4 nights! Though I guess we could have asked. * not a resort criticism we were happy to be away from things. But roads are mainly sandy on west side of island and not much in way of restaurants and nightlife. Get a bike if you can, not a suggested location for the unfit.

My wife and I stayed at Ama-Lurra Resort for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of perfect. The villa was incredibly luxurious, probably the best on the island. It's located in a quiet area, yet still close to everything we wanted to see and do. The peace and quiet at night were exactly what we needed for a restful stay. The staff were always helpful, friendly, and attentive, making us feel truly pampered. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide selection of delicious options. This place is simply heaven on earth, and the price is surprisingly reasonable for the experience. Highly recommend! Best hotel we stayed on during our honeymoon!

Nothing

First of all, the resort employs amazing staff members. Everyone is kind and attentive. They took good care of us and made friends with our kid, special thanks to Safira, Kareim and Sofeyan. Ama Lurra is located in one of the best spots on the island: It's quiet and offers a sunset view, very calm breakfast on the beach, etc. and you can find plenty of activities and good restaurants nearby (highly recommend zZz Warung). The villas are very good, in fact way way bigger than expected. It's clean and private. The bed is very very comfortable. We stayed with our 1y old baby and it's moderately safe for kids. But most guests are understandably the couples as it could be a very good option for honeymoon seekers. Overall, we stayed a week and we're very satisfied.

A common problem in Gili Air is mosquitos, so make sure to keep the doors closed all the time, which was a bit challenging given the design of the villa. The breakfast was good but I think more options should be added. Same thing to the lunch and dinner menu. I also think the beach restaurant needs some shade during the day.
