We were two adults and a 12 year old staying for three nights. This place was every bit as good as we hoped with probably the best sunset position on the island and the loveliest section of beach. The room and beds were very comfortable with maybe only 10-12 chalets set in beautiful gardens arranged in a cul-de-sac facing the beach. Taking a walk along the beach-front in either direction you come across a succession of other small hotels and bars to eat and drink in and the whole island is only about a 20 min walk from end to end. As with all other places in Indonesia, the food and drink was inexpensive and good quality. Typical Indonesian dishes were between £2-3 and beer £2-3 for small and large. The included breakfast options covered both Western and Indonesian options with tea/coffee, juice and fruit and was very good. The staff were very welcoming and were keen to learn and address you by name every day. A few asked if we wanted to go on a snorkelling trip, which obviously earns them a little commission, but they were the same price as everywhere else for a private boat. It can be done cheaper if you want to go on a larger shared trip though so ask a few questions before you make up your mind but do go! Having dived in the Red Sea the snorkelling here is as good. You will undoubtedly swim with some green turtles and experience a huge amount of tropical marine life. Highly recommended. As for Island View, overall it’s a big thumbs-up from us. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was good value for money.

This hotel is situated right on the beach, with amazing views of Gili Meno and Lombok. The beachfront bar and restaurant serve great food and cocktails, as well as BBQ nights. The hotel can also arrange either private or group snorkelling tours - we did a private snorkelling tour around Gili Meno which was good value for money. The bungalow itself is clean, and the hammock outside is a nice touch.

We had breakfast included in our stay, however we weren't particularly impressed with the quality. The bungalow is quite small and lacks some basic amenities e.g. adequate closet space and TV.

Clean comfortable accommodation. Air-conditioned. Bath & pool towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner provided. Breakfast available. Dragon bowl delicious. Great view of sunsets & Gili meno, Lombok & Bali in background. Staff friendly & helpful. Close to dive shops.

No safe, hair-dryer or kettle available. Breakfasts could be improved. Quite away from town so unless happy to walk suggest scooter or bike sandy & uneven ground across island so wouldn't recommend for those with mobility issues. No pool.

A very relaxed stay in a stunning location. The bungalow I stayed in was lovely. It was clean, cool and serviced each day. I loved the hammock on the small balcony area. It was very private, located back from the path. Being able to hire bikes directly from the hotel was brilliant. The food and drink offer was very good. The beach area was beautiful with plenty of seating and I loved the addition of the swings around the seating areas. It was very quiet and a as a solo female traveler I felt very safe.

I would have liked to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. The location whilst idyllic, is a little way from the main areas and involves a walk through some areas which aren’t well lit at night (not the hotel’s fault) so it’s worth considering transport when it gets dark. I suggested lights be added to the bikes which the lovely manager took on board.

The staff - Juli and the kitchen staff Edi, Madi, Usman everyone was so friendly and did their jobs outstandingly. The location was at the best spot of the island - quiet from the noise and yet so beautiful and in the middle. The cleanliness. The vibes - I felt the most relaxed during our entire month in Indonesia here. THE FOOOOOD!!!! WHY IS THE RESTAURANT NOT ON GOOGLE MAPS! The food was exceptional. We didn’t even bother trying to eat anywhere else on the island. Also room 12 is amazing!

Nothing. Everything about this place was perfect.

Island view is a lovely quiet beach resort with a beautiful garden between the bungalows. Staff were great and arranged tours, transfers and bikes at reasonable prices. Breakfast was a beautiful fruit plate followed by eggs or pancakes. The food was good value and mix of local/ western. The bungalows are cute, although bear in mind if you are booking family bungalows, upstairs is not for tall people. The resort is away from the action (which is a plus in my view) and I loved getting on my bike and exploring the island, then returning to a quiet sanctuary. Warung Sunny serves excellent local dishes. The Frangipani Spa offers a lovely foot and back massage. Snorkeling on the reef directly in front of the hotel can be tricky as there are often strong currents, so (as advised by staff) our group walked about 500m to the northern end of the island, swam to the reef there and drifted slowly along the reef and then swam in when the current started to get strong. Even spotted some turtles on our own.

It would be nice to have a pool to swim in when the tide is low.

We stayed here for 2 nights, after a short walk from the harbour we were greeted by friendly staff and a welcome drink. Our room wasn’t available yet but staff made us feel welcome to use the facilities while we waited. Our luggage was taken to our room for us and staff let us know when it was ready. The food here was amazing, delicious and service was great! Staff got to know you and felt safe and secure around the hotel. The room was very spacious with a big bed, and with an added bonus of a mosquito net! The room was serviced daily with fresh bathroom towels and bed sheets. The balcony was great, towels rack, table and chairs to relax and a hammock which was fantastic. The hotel even provided fresh beach towels for you to relax on the beach with.

The sun beds could have had a cushion on top of them. They wasn’t very comfortable.

Fantastic location right on the beach surrounded by palm trees and vegetation. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Mady. Breakfast freshly cooked to order which was delicious. If you like your poached eggs soft, make sure to ask for soft, runny eggs! Great laundry service. Clothes returned smelling very fresh and all ironed. Fantastic 3 hour snorkeling trip organised by hotel.

Towels could have routinely changed given we stayed for 5 nights. Sunbeds on the beach were a little tired.

The property was open, with outdoor seating areas, reception and bar. The bungalow was spacious and well laid out. Beautiful location, great relaxed atmosphere and staff especially Eddie who was top notch! The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice :-)

No safe, coffee and tea making facilities or hairdryer in the room. The bbq wasn’t good value for money but the other food on the menu was. The beach is very sharp coral sand, so bring water shoes. The positives definitely outweigh any negatives and I would stay here again and recommend!

Gorgeous authentic Balinese accommodation but with luxury (super powerful airconditioning, comfy beds, gorgeous outside bathroom) on a stunning location Also loved the balcony and veranda with seating area and hammock The family rooms had a great upstairs added sleeping area The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us (especially Madai). Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice The food was great, especially the delicious evening seafood BBQs The sunsets from al fresco restaurant area were just stunning

No pool. But really with the ocean just steps away from this accommodation, do you need a pool?!
