After my last trip in march 2023 during when I stayed 3 times in Ashley Tang I addes another 2 stays during my trip in may/june this year. What to add to my previous comment ? As I have stayed in several hotels in this area including the 5 star hotels like Grand Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental and Kempinski I can only say that this hotel totally fulfills my expectations. With its clean and relative spacious room and its excellent service it s a fair deal compared to the other hotels in the area (not the 5 star properties of course). As there are some remarks about the breakfast I have checked this more carefully ! The breakfast is mainly an Asian breakfast but as the name of the hotel mentioned it is a Chinese styled hotel. There is always a mix of Asian dishes, some croissants and pastries, a mixture of fruits and a nice pudding with vanilla sauce. Thats sufficient in my opinion and to my taste and of course I will not compare the breakfast with one of the 5 star properties. Sabang is very central located to the big malls like Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia with lots of good food ! Outside there are lots of street food stalls like Martabak, sate ayam or kambing, a small warung where you can get a good nasi campur (go to the left and its about 50 m to your left). Besides that there are supermarkets left, right and accross the street so what more can you wish ! Yes it s crowded in the evening but tell me one place in Jakarta where there is no traffic ! All together another great stay in a vibrant city and I have booked my next stay for this year already ! Thanks pak Hari, mbak Martha and all staff and keep up the good work ! See you soon !

Towels could use a refresh After the third day, there was a unpleasant smell from the bathroom drain

I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Ashly Tang team did an amazing job—everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were well-appointed and comfortable. The housekeeping, reception, and front office teams were all incredibly helpful and attentive. The hotel's location is great, in an area with a vibrant and good vibe. A special thanks to the Operations Manager, Arini, who was very helpful and attentive to all my inquiries. I also appreciate Lutfi and other front office team members for their outstanding service. Overall, my stay was memorable, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

This was the perfect hotel for our first trip to Jakarta. The location was great- close to the bus stop, many malls and walking distance to Monas and even the train station. The attention to detail was impressive. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The breakfast buffet had many options and they always seemed to be refilling it. I appreciated the ability to do laundry and they even had free soap. The gym had two treadmills, weights and a few yoga mats. The staff were so kind!

I wish there were some small towels in the gym to use instead of having to bring the ones from the room down.

The location is great! A lot of cafes, eateries and streetfood stalls along the road. Staffs at the front desk and the concierge are very helpful and friendly. Particularly love the welcoming ambience, in addition to the thoughtful gestures from the staffs. Housekeeping staffs were so kind to arrange our plushies! They have a self-service laundry room, with detergent and freshener provided. The gym is a good facility too. The breakfast buffet offers a decent and sufficient spread.

The room is quite packed with 2 beds to accommodate 3 guests The song is playing on a loop - I wish the music could be changed from time to time.

The breakfast was basic and could be better improved. Nevertheless, it was acceptable and kept warm. The overall experience in the hotel was just fantastic. The staff were all respectful and great. They accommodated what they could and offered options for things like late check out etc. I stayed here for 7 days and the staff were so sweet. They had pooled together I believe and bought a small gift basket to thank me for staying there and I was just so touched and impressed.

Maybe the breakfast could be better. There could be more options for room service food as well.

Everything is really clean and beautiful, breakfast is delicious and varied, hotel is quiet and staff very polite and nice. Also the location is great, right in the center with many streetfood just downstairs.

The hotel claims it an environmental friendly with a card asking guests not to change their sheets too often, but the AC and the lights are on at all time even in empty rooms... Not only was it really cold in the room even after I turned everything off, but if they really want to help the planet maybe an effort could be made on that aspect, like at least turning everything off when the room is empty. I know that would be a big change but the big planet needs some of those 😉

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was pleasant and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. I accidentally left my AirPods behind and only realized it while on my flight back to Johor. I messaged the hotel, and they quickly took action by searching the room and even sent a video to show their efforts. Their dedication to helping me retrieve my belongings was truly impressive. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for exceptional service and peace of mind.

Everything one would expect. The decor is inviting and the staff are welcoming and helpful. It was a very pleasant visit. The location for access to the city and local food is excellent.

Breakfast was adequate with something for everyone, however coffee/tea should have some variation perhaps peppermint or any herbal offering. The lighting in the breakfast area whilst fitting to the decor is very dim and needs to be brighter in an eating area.

The only restaurant should stay open until at least 10pm for tourists who have all-day tours and come back late after 8:30pm to the hotel. It closes at 9pm now. OR There should be at least a 24-hour open coffee-shop on premises. The location is on a very busy traffic-jammed road.
