Everything is excellent in this hotel. The whole property is beautifully designed with lots of Indonesian artefacts everywhere you look. The swimming pool was very nice and bigger than we had expected after seeing the pictures. The room was huge and beautifully furnished with a big bathtub and an outdoor shower. The rooms were cleaned impeccably, the cleaning staff paid attention to the smallest details. Every night the beach is turned into a restaurant and it was great to have dinner with our feet in the sand. The restaurant staff was also very friendly and helpful, food in the restaurant was tasty and not too expensive. In general the hotel is managed very professionally. We stayed there for a week and we would definitely stay there again.

The beach is very clean, but it is impossible to swim in the sea at low tide due to a reef blocking access to open sea. The same is true for all hotels in Sanur., though. Also, the only thing that was "missing" was sunset, but of course this is not the hotel’s fault and we had known about it.

Tandjung Sari Hotel is a true oasis once you step through the wooden doors off the hectic boardwalk you enter your own tropical Indonesian paradise and nirvana. The food was all delicious with a wide variety of local specialities to choose from and being seated by the pool and in view of the private beach create the perfect backdrop. How wonderful to also witness the young legong dancers by the pool pavilion learning the art of the traditional Balinese dance. The staff were all extremely friendly and hospitable in every way.

The only thing I could fault was the lack of a curtain on the window door leading onto our courtyard.

I did not expect such a charming hotel to host a blood sport! On Sunday 24 March, as part of the ceremony for the anniversary of the temple (located within the grounds of the hotel), there was cock fighting. Blades were attached to the cockerels and they were made to fight to the death. Not only do I think that it is totally inappropriate for the hotel to host such an 'event', I strongly believe that this cruel, barbaric, practice should be outlawed altogether!

Everything. This hotel is exceptional. I didn’t want to leave. The staff were all friendly, professional and prompt and looked after even the tiniest of details. The pool is lovely and relaxing and the beach in front is beautifully maintained. Sanur is a much quieter area which I really liked.

This is the most minor of criticisms, but the villa I booked said it was water views from upstairs. I would say this is a little overstated and water “glimpses” is more accurate. There is a lot of vegetation in the garden which, while lovely and affording privacy, blocks most of the water views. Only a minor issue though because I spent so little time in the villa, and you need only go steps outside to see the view

I had a fabulous stay at Tandjung Sari. As it’s a boutique property you have the opportunity to meet the very friendly and attentive staff who look after you do well. My beachfront villa was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view from the upstairs living area. The included breakfast had lots of options and was more than I could eat. Dinner was very good too, but of course more expensive than restaurants in the main street. Highly recommended.

There is only one swimming pool which is popular with families with young children. If you don’t like sharing the pool with kids or waiting for a quieter time, this might impact your enjoyment.

Amazing hotel! Don’t hesitate to book it! From the first greeting till the last minute the staff was so polite, respectful, always smiling and running an extra mile to make you feel comfortable like at home. There are lots of personal touches and compliments from the management too, thank you! The facilities are great, the villas are spacious, spotlessly clean, with lots of trees and palms around. To stay at the gazebo and listen the grasshoppers in the night was so relaxing! The breakfast is fabulous with fresh juice, fruits, pastries and variety of main course. The restaurant in the evenings is remarkable with its romantic atmosphere, live Balinese music and high quality. This hotel is definitely a gem in Sanur! We will come back with pleasure! Highly recommend it to everyone!

Prices in the restaurant are a bit high compared to the others around and the service in the kitchen can be improved. In addition, some activities like yoga, offering class, cooking class, afternoon tea, etc. might add a huge value to the overall experience.

Tandjung Sari is my favorite hotel in the world. Beautiful, amazing service, excellent food. gorgeous pool, private beach. Beautiful villas and rooms. The absolute best!

Nothing.

The checkin even after 1am was very quick. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing and uou could swim when it was high tide. Beach chairs and umbrellas was always available. The proximity to the new Icon mall was amazing and the restaurants served luvly food especially due to Tandjung not serving halaal food. The cleaning was done on a daily basis and very thorough. The outside shower was fabulous. One of a few hotels that had the pillows exactly like we loved it, you had the soft pillow and the harder pillow. The solid matress allowed you to have a comfortable sleep. The turn down service was appreciated and they emptied the bins again. Not having a TV was not an issue, because the whole ambiance of the cottages was delightful as well as the private seating area in front of your cottage.

The fact that they served Ala Carte menu. Also not providing anything halaal, we had eggs for 2 days and then went to the Icon Mall for breakfast even though the breakfast was included in the rate. The most important negative of the hotel was the wifi in cottage number 7 that was extremely unstable.

The resort is an oasis in an intensely busy area. Staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful.

The resort itself is great, but we were surprised by how busy and grotty the surrounding area was. You can't stay the whole time in the confines of Tandjung Sari, but venturing beyond can be an affront to the senses. We were also surprised how long it took to travel the relatively short distance from Denpasar airport to Tandjung Sari by car. One thing that would have been slightly more convenient was to have more bottled water available in the room each day. We felt we were rationing a little bit.
