Nice B&B located not too far outside of the town of Donegal. Host was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Breakfast is standard Irish offerings with an option for homemade pancakes as an alternative. Property was quite clean, and the yard and building outside were very well-kept. Parking was spacious and easy.

Minor nitpick: the family room we stayed in didn't have as many accessible power outlets as a typical hotel; there are two, each one located on a wall that's about midway lengthwise at about the sleeping surface height of two of the beds. It was not a big deal, however, as we took turn charging devices.

Breda was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble and she catered for our special diets. As a family of four staying in the one room we had plenty of space and a spacious ensuite shower room. As B&B's go I think this is the best I've ever stayed in, really clean and well-thought out. The selection of options for breakfast was fantastic!

Only grumble, and it's very minor, is that we could hear the people moving about upstairs in the night time - the noise travelled quite a lot, but, as I say, it was a minor thing which was more than made up for by how brilliant everything else was.

Our stay at Heeneys was absolutely wonderful, from our interaction in the booking App, through check-in and then check-out! The entire house was lovely, as were the grounds…. There was ample parking, and multiple outdoor spaces to sit and relax. The room was large and spacious, with space to sit and relax, and the en-suite bathroom had everything you could need (they even had wash cloths-IYKYK). And the bed was extremely comfortable! Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order, with lots of options for accompaniments…. Breads, cereals, juices, milks, etc. Just can not say enough good things about this place…. If ever we make it this way again, I would definitely stay (but next time, for more than one night 😉).

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B! The location was perfect, close to Lough Eske and Donegal Town, which made it ideal for the wedding we were attending. Breda was so lovely and accommodating throughout our visit. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the whole place had such a peaceful charm. Breakfast was delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot, thank you so much for the warm hospitality!

Beautiful accommodations close to town. Room was large and nicely done with tea/coffee and cookies in the room. The bathroom was large with all the amenities and the largest, thickest bath sheets I’ve ever had in a lodging. Delicious full Irish breakfast including lots of choices and extras. The lady who runs it was amazing…. Very welcoming and helpful and gave us good information on local sights, good restaurants and pubs with music and where to park.

Very welcoming and friendly host , an incredible house in a wonderful setting near to Donegal Town. We cannot recommend Heeneys Lodge enough . Our room was large and very comfortable and relaxing . We were spoilt for choice at breakfast with an amazing selection of fruit ,cereal , breads and cakes ,a full Irish breakfast and teas and coffees . We felt that nothing was too much trouble for our host if we are ever this way again we will be staying here . Thanks again Bridget you're a star . Regards Sue and Neil .

We have thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Heeneys. The house itself is just beautiful and there is also a fabulous garden to enjoy. The bedrooms are absolutely stunning. The quality of the bedlinen, towels etc was amazing. We had everything available to us including water, tea, coffee and even cookies which the kids were delighted with 😁 I was particularly looking forward to breakfast having read all the rave reviews online. Well it certainly didn't disappoint. It was absolutely fabulous..anything that you could possibly want was available and all very high quality produce. I was very impressed when Breda offered to cook a mini breakfast for the children...I just thought that was such a kind gesture. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Heeneys it's absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality Breda wishing you every success in the future x

The owner couldn't have been .ore helpful or accommodating and that was even before finding out we had been over to Ireland for a funeral. The room had everything you would need and was so spacious. Clean and tidy throughout, with a great range of breakfast options available however we didn't have time to make use of the breakfast options. We were travelling back the next morning after our stay amd were having trouble booking a taxi. The owner went above and beyond and massively helped us out off her own back by bringing her car around the front and driving us to town so as we didn't miss our bus to the airport. Can't thank her enough for her amazing hospitality and highly recommend. Very reasonably priced too

Lovely stay with lovely hosts who go above and beyond - even offered to lend me some comfortable shoes for the wedding we were attending. Short taxi ride from Lough Eske Castle (12 euros). For trips in to Donegal town we had a hire car and it's a really short drive away with a convenience/corner shop on route if you've forgotten any essentials. Parking in Donegal Town was one 1.50 euro for 18 hours! Full Irish breakfast was brilliant. Would recommend!

There really anything we didn't like. I would just recommend taking a small ring light/backlit mirror if you're doing make up for a wedding/party.

We were greeted by Joe who showed us to our upstairs room. We had a very spacious and comfortable family bedroom. The lovely property was immaculate with an electric kettle and teas available. Nice large bathroom with great hot water. Breda prepared us a delicious Irish breakfast the next morning with many options to choose from. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
