The staff were amazing,we booked in a bit too early but they were so understanding and qe got a free upgrade to the Waterfront rooms,the view and the comfort was amazing.We had dinner there that night and that was also amazing.Breakfast was beautiful with loads of choices

We could not use the pool until after 7 .15 as there is childrens swimming classes there every Friday evening,this was never advised until we actually changed and went to the pool at 5

Lovely location right beside the shannon Rooms were big and spacious high ceilings very comfortable beds Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice staff extremely helpful and pleasant

Bedrooms a bit tired could do with a paint around the ceiling. Although that would not put me off staying here . Also wasn’t share why we were asked to book a time slot for breakfast

We had an amazing time at the lakeside hotel. The Superior Waterfront Room was really lovely looking over the water. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a separate bath and shower. The tv was a smart tv so it was great if you wanted to relax and watch some tv. The swimming pool was great and if you’re feeling brave you should definitely go down the slide! One of the days we did the river cruise which was lovely and we got to see the hotel from the water. To get to the boat it’s only a short walk.

The original room we booked (Double room) was very small and cold. We went down to reception as we weren’t happy with the room and they couldn’t have been more helpful. We were upgraded to a Superior Waterfront Room which was amazing! Also we went midweek and there wasn’t a huge amount open around the area but it’s not far to drive to Ennis or into Limerick to shop or go for a bite to eat.

On our arrival  we were mate with the most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, she gave us a  great first impression of the hotel. Followed by the bar staff who were very friendly too. The food in the bar was amazing and the breakfast each morning too.

Our only negative comments would be, that as the Hotel caters for Family’s, they don’t have facilities for Kids e.g  Game rooms etc.  The room was very spacious, it had a smart tv but wasn't connected to the Internet so the smart channels didn't work 🙄. The bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. They have a Pool but no spa.

Fantastic hotel. Scenery is truly breathtaking. Stayed for wedding and the food was absolutely fantastic. Credit to the chef and team. Checking out I informed reception I had added about €6 to my checkout the next morning after falling short of change at the bar. The bar man told me save me going back to my room and back down again that he's just add to my room number. The receptionist and her colleague seemed very surprised by my honesty to pay the €6 as it wasn't listed on system due to what I'd imagine was human error. Seemingly it's not common to pay additional fee's by guests which I found surprising based on the overall excellent treatment on over the course of our stay. Thanks and keep up the great job. Alan

Nothing to dislike 👌

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a lake view which was a wonderful surprise and the bar of chocolate was a personal touch which was also made locally in Tuamgraney Rooms were stylish and beds were comfy. Breakfast had an excellent selection and catered for everyone. Bar food was great and the staff were really friendly throughout the hotel.leisure centre is very good and its staff are helpful and friendly. Location is superb with beautiful scenic surroundings I would highly recommend a stay in the Lakeside Hotel as you will not be disappointed.

I could not say anything, to be honest everything was great even down to the finely mantained gardens. Great for photos.We'll done all at the Lakeside.

The hotel is located right on the lake, which has beautiful views from the restaurant, room and the grounds. A 5 minute walk away from the town centre where there are a few nice pubs and trails to walk on. Plenty of parking available at the front and rear of the property. The dinner menu has a great selection to suit anyone and it tasted amazing (desserts we're lovely too!). I didn't use the swimming pool but it looked like a great facility. The room was clean, spacious and had all the items you'd need. Complimentary slippers (which you could take home) and a bath robe to use during your stay. Kettle, coffee machine with pods, shortbread biscuits and even a bar of hazelnut chocolate on arrival! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Killaloe.

The self-service breakfast had a great selection, but the quality of the cooked breakfast could have been better (still nice though, I've had nicer elsewhere).

The breakfast was good, the coffee machine was excellent and the staff were very friendly - serving breakfast, in the bar/restaurant and on reception.

There was a serious problem with the hot/cold water while taking a shower. There were times when it was impossible to regulate the temperature of the water which was almost always too hot - unbearable to stand under the shower. The carpets outside the reception area could do with changing - especially those leading to the swimming pool and gym area - they look old and frankly dirty.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with a luxurious feel. We stayed during a very hot period, but the air-conditioning worked perfectly. We slept very well in the comfortable beds and enjoyed a drink with a scenic view over the river on the balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast selection was a bit disappointing, considering the high standard of the hotel. Service was excellent and an Irish breakfast was of course available, but overall the selection was a bit lacking.

Location is absolutely a bonus & the views were sublime and the village is a host to fabulous cafes and heritage. The hotel is beautiful, huge bedrooms, free standing air con, modern bathroom & all the smart TV Apps. Pool is gorgeous, u can sit in jacuzzi & view the Lake & Mountains. Breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent quality, home made smoothies on offer, really good coffee, a great buffet of hot food. The breakfast Manager is superbly organised and so friendly and welcoming. We will be back asap.
