It was a close walk to masjid al aqsa with lots of shops and restaurants along the way. The location makes it very easy to move around, especially when traveling with a family. The rooms were neat and modern. The staff were very pleasant and always willing to offer assistance when needed

The cleaning wasn’t necessarily up to standard however it wasn’t the end of the world. I’m sure had I mentioned it to staff they would have happily been of assistance. While it might not be the greatest value for money, I would still recommend staying here.

It’s a little jewel hidden close to every major downtown interesting sites.

Only one thing: their claim to have a shuttle from the airport is a bit misleading. The hotel doesn’t have any transportation. What they mean is that from the airport you can find public transportation to Jerusalem. There’s no shuttle nor bus. We ended up taking the train to Jerusalem and then a taxi through Gett. Reasonably priced and efficient but totally different from what the customer is led to believe. Then, you have an easy walk downhill to the hotel from the Damascus Gate. If you have mobility impairments, you better look elsewhere. Also, the hotel does not have an elevator. Still, it’s a wonderful accommodation that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Saladin Boutique Hotel is right where you want to be: Via Dolorosa is right in front of your door as well as all major sites in old Jerusalem. Just start walking in any direction you like and you‘ll always find something interesting. Everyone in the the hotel was super nice and helpful and made you feel welcome from the very beginning. No other place could be better than Saladin Boutique Hotel in old Jerusalem. If you happen to have a room with a balcony it’s even better. Then you can watch the lively street below you. We highly recommend this place. We specially liked to go to the roof to enjoy the view of the Dom of the Rock at various times of the day.

Sadly there was no breakfast.

The Saladin Boutique Hotel is small but perfectly formed! The rooms are fully equipped with everything you need and a real sense of luxury. The hotel was chosen for its close proximity to Al Aqsa (5 mins away from Nasir Gate) and 10-15 mins away from Damascus gate. You are literally in the heart of the Old city surrounded by history and beauty. There’s some delicious food places nearby not to mention the fresh juice stand next door! We felt extremely safe as we always do in Jerusalem and the staff were so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need. This is our second stay in Jerusalem and we are already planning our next visit. Theres a lovely lounge area on the 1st floor to sit and relax in or be sure to grab a coffee and falafel sandwich and head up the to the top floor and enjoy the views of Jerusalem! I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Directions: enter via Damascus gate and take the left alley when you come to the crossroad in the alleyways.

Right in the heart of the Old City - so you're really walking distance to restaurants/cafes and shops, as well as the holy sites of Al Aqsa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Western Wall. Closest gates are Damascus and Lion Gates. Chose the room with a balcony which was the best choice, as I could have my morning coffee people-watching (and seeing IOF guards in action right downstairs) with a beautiful view of the streets and the golden Dome of the Rock. The room was much bigger than expected, given the size of the hotel! Greeted with a shot of coffee at reception when it's available, and the staff were beyond helpful with everything - tips/advice on checkpoints, changing money when shops were closing and just generally super friendly (shoutout to Issa and Basel!).

The property listing mentioned a restaurant, but there isn't any on site. Next door is a convenience store with fresh juices and a few steps down is a restaurant for breakfast (serving one of the best hummus I've ever had). The room walls are pretty thin and all close to the stairwell, so you're definitely going to hear people going up and down the stairs. Not the hotel's fault if other guests are inconsiderate of time and talking loudly in the middle of the night whilst at the stairwell. Also due to the cosy and narrow size of the property, there are no lifts - something to consider if you're travelling with family/elderly/have lots of baggage. There's an IOF checkpoint right below - good or bad, depending on your perspective.

This hotel was perfect! Nestled in the heart of the old city - it was close to the Al Aqsa mosque and extremely safe. The hotel messaged us beforehand via email and WhatsApp if we needed anything in advance. I cannot give enough praise to this hotel. At the first sniff of tension within the old city, the hotel staff were on hand to reassure of us of our safety. I would like to give a special thanks to brother Adbdalrahman who was with us the whole day on Monday 26th May and kept checking up on us. This hotel deserves more than 10/10! And a bonus point - the rooftop has the best view of Dome of the Rock!

Location is superb for those who want to have easy access to important sites in the Old City, everything becomes accessible within the walking distance. The price is fantastic for this location in Jerusalem and for the quality of rooms. People in charge of running the hotel are very hospitable and proactive in ensuring comfortable stay for their guests; I would be happy to stay here in my future travels.

I wish wifi connection were more stable and reliable. But it's likely not tied to a specific hotel as there are general recurring issues with reliable internet access in Jerusalem in my experience of travel, so be prepared and purchase an esim card with data plan to have multiple ways of accessing internet.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the location was perfect, right on Via Dolorosa, close to everything. We liked staying in the muslin quarter. Right next to the hotel there is a restaurant with good foods and next to the Damascus gate we found the best coffee in the world. We would definitely come back here.

Exceptionally good hotel! Super clean with excellent facilities and views. We choose a room with a balcony, it cost a little more but was well worth it as we had a great view of ‘The Dome of the Rock’. The location is also superb and yes the hotel is indeed within a short walk of all the main attractions of the Old City. Located near’Via Dolorosa’ you really are in the heart of the hustle & bustle which in Jerusalem is what you should be aiming for as it’s an incredible experience. The staff were also incredibly helpful and nothing was too much for them. In particular I must mention ‘Ghourfran’ - a young lady who really went out of her way for us. The taxi dropped us at ‘Damascus Gate’ as it could not get closer to the hotel. We rang the hotel and Ghourfran guided us ( by phone ) toward the hotel. We did get a little stuck and rang again, after confirming where we were standing Ghourfran came and met us and took as to the hotel. As it happened we were only 150 metres from it. I cannot fault her professionalism and helpfulness. Will we stay gain? … without doubt we will, in fact when we return to Jerusalem we will look no further than the Saladin Boutique Hotel.

Can’t think of anything!

I came to spend 4 days in Al Alqsa Masjid with my wife, I wanted a close hotel to save us from walking long distances as we are both old. The receptionist Ghofran was extremely helpful in luggage handling, Showed us interesting places near the hotel, and arranged a Taxi whenever we needed transportation. The hotel is new and spot clean with very comfortable furniture. The hotel location is high enough that enable us to see the Al Aqsa Dome from the third-floor balcony

It would be helpful to have a lift, The hotel is a 3-story hotel and as an old person, it is hard to go upstairs. There is no restaurant yet as they are still building it on the roof, The Lack of restaurant was not an issue as there are many restaurants on the street.
