The bedroom was spacious, so was the bathroom. Parking was easy (it's a great location if you're travelling by car). Wifi signal was strong. Breakfast was varied and copious. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The big potential problem with the room is poor sound proofing. You can hear people in the corridor because there is a gap under the entrance door. You can hear people walking around in the floor above. This was not a problem for us because there were not too many guests in the hotel and they were relatively quiet. However, should you happen to stay during a wedding event it might be very different. This issue was far outweighed by the positives about the hotel, and having stayed in many places in this area over the years, we can attest that this hotel is by far the best (if you prefer modern hotels to converted stately homes, of which there are a few in the area. They are of course, much more expensive).

The welcome we received upon arrival was fantastic. We arrived on the 22nd after a poor experience at another resort. The lady that organised our room & stay was so lovely and helpful. She went well above and beyond what was expected. Myself and children had a really disappointing experience elsewhere and had been in the car most of the day and she very quickly returned the smiles to our faces. So much so that we decided to book another night and again was helped by linking the bookings, keeping us in our room for the following day/evening. The breakfast was of good quality, the pool area was very clean and very much enjoyed by the children and our room was spotlessly clean! The bar staff were very efficient and friendly and the room service food ordered was of a great standard. I don’t very often give a review, but having had the best experience, there is no way I couldn’t take the time to thank all at the hotel. We’ll definitely be back and recommend to others. Thank you!

1 staff memeber from the resturant was very very rude her name was charlotte . Price of the food for what was chucked together on the plate is ridiculous. They rate there food and chef way over the top hence them charging ridiculous prices . Very disappointed with the food I think they charge way over the top for alcoholic drink and soft drinks over all the priceing is very high especially if travelling with family and staying 7 days as i did. But the spa treatments are fair price i had 3 treatments on diffrent days and on all occasions same lady she was lovely from the brief dealings with anotjer 2 ladies i felt uncomfortable with them. Manager again a lovely guy as was the other manager. Steph hostile at first but when she came back down to ground level seemed ok. The receptionist harry is a ray of absolute sunshine she is in my opinion the highlight of that hotel a greay accest to the team and hotel.

The room was absolutely clean, The staff was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Greeting us every time they see us. Making sure everything was okay. The swimming pool and sauna/steamer room were lovely to relax in and swim. Wasn't so busy was quite quiet. Nice garden right by our room to go outside and relax in. The breakfast was quick service and very tasty. Staff helped out with anything we needed.Overall, everything was top form, and the staff were great. Would deffo recommend coming here to stay and will definitely be back again.

There wasn't anything to complain about, really.

The whole stay down to the hotel, the spa/swimming pool, the cleanliness, the food, the rooms, the beds were so comfortable and most of all the staff were 10/10. We stayed here for two nights and would highly recommend staying at this hotel. We have travelled from London and cannot wait to visit again. The staff could not do enough for you nothing was too much trouble, what a lovely friendly welcoming staff team. We arrived early and were able to leave all of our luggage in a secure room whilst we went out to the beach until our rooms were ready. When we arrived back to check in my mum fell over her case and hit her head on the wall, the staff were absolutely amazing and tended to my mum immediately with first aid and made sure she was ok for the whole of our stay. Even after checkout we were welcome to stay and use the facilities. The cooked breakfast had lots of choice and was lovely and hot it was constantly being refilled. There was also lots of choice of different cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurts. The hotel is only 20 minutes from beaches and McArthurglen shopping outlet. The train station if you don’t drive is an 8 minute taxi journey. I and my family would highly recommend staying here.

Shame the jacuzzi was not working that is the only thing I can say as the everything else was perfect

We Always enjoy our time at the Heronston Bridgend. Staff are always well informed + polite .The rooms ,Towels ,Bathrooms are always clean .The Refurb is beautiful.The choice of food is always enjoyed by all of us.

We could hear our next door neighbours conversations,( Which can't be helped) The Sauna has been out of use for far too long!. The Steam room smells like old socks. I feel The amount of money and time that was spent on the refurbishments The pool could have been drained so the Sauna could be fixed in this time .Also the vents in the Steam room could have a regular clean.

I was a little worried before booking here as I had read the reviews ( I always do this before going anywhere) one two different sites and one rating was good and the other not so However I went ahead and booked a room for the night and omg what a lovely place, so clean and tidy, ALL staff are friendly, helpful and happy it's a lovely atmosphere here. We seen pictures of the pool and all facilities before but when you are actually there it's amazing, so relaxing and peaceful. The pictures doesn't do it any justice. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. The room we had was modern and clean, we had patio doors so we could sit out in a quiet little garden just outside our room. The bed was also very comfortable and had a good night sleep.

Was nothing to fault!

Great Hotel in a lovely location away from the nearby roads. The service was exceptional from everyone - front desk, room service and restaurant staff. It was lovely to see such welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic staff. The room was lovely with lots of space and a huge bed and nice facilities. The breakfast was also great with a good choice of buffet food as well as a good selection of hot food to order - all using a selection of local produce which is nice to see. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or spa facilities but we did get a quick tour of them and they look fantastic and will definitely make use of them on a return trip. Highly recommended from Leisure and Business Trips.

There was nothing to not like!

The staff are fab, the pool and sauna/steam room is so lovely, they were very accommodating to my needs when I needed to make changes fab!

First I would like to say the manager was so kind and helpful l had the afternoon tea and it was extremely disappointing, however the manager was fantastic and helpful and went the extra mile, I only brought it up because it was very negative but the staff made it much better so again great staff. Don't let it put you off!! Maybe just avoid the afternoon tea especially if you're on your own they seem to forget you're having afternoon tea and just grab what they have left over not good!

The staff were all so welcoming and pleasant. Everyone greeted me as I walked around. The reception staff were lovely and very charismatic. Breakfast was nicely laid out and there was a lot to choose from. I was surprised by how comfortable the bed was ( just because you get used to your own way of things) - Had a great nights sleep. Really handy location. I had to leave early so didn't get chance to use the facilities but I didn't realise they had that available so that was a bonus to hear! Would stay here again.
