Breakfast was great and room very big and clean.

Maybe a water machine by the swimming pool as it got a little hot.

We very much enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel! We loved the room, reception staff Leon was so awesome, a lady at the bar / restaurant on Saturday night was incredibly lovely and helpful too! Great value for money and makes you feel like you want to come back.

1. A bar staff member being off / impolite when he asked us for ID on Saturday night at the hotel’s bar. He could have done it in a bit more polite and considerate way, and the outcome would have been the same. We went to the room to get it. But we didn’t take it personally or let it ruin our stay as we were too chilled. Maybe he was just tired or had a bad day? 2. Swimming pool rules say no kids after 7pm and they were there until 9pm. Not something you want as adults being there at 7 hoping to get kids free swim exercise. Why make the rule if not complied with? Fairly misleading.

We used the pool which was nice, really warm. However, there was a swimming teacher teach a child to swim on one side of the pool. (Not a huge pool, no lane to separate) the man was giving dirty looks, my youngest son age 6 was visually nervous in the pool, his 13 year old brother was encouraging him to sit on the side and jump in and demonstrated how to do it, the instructor in a raised tone said ‘stop, dangerous. But a father and his daughter were jumping in the whole time we were there and he didn’t say a word? After this he was constantly staring, made us feel very uncomfortable throughout the rest of our session. Definitely not a good look for the hotel.

Value for money, good size room, breakfast options, free parking, friendly staff.

45 minutes to use swimming, sauna, and steam room facilities is not enough. All hotels we've stayed in, only did this during covid times and had moved on since. There's no time to access, sauna, steam room, swim in the 45 minutes allowed. Staff will keep asking you to leave and will give you a verbal warning that you have 5 minutes left to swim. Have not experienced this in other hotels, only during the Covid-19 pandemic this restriction of timings happened - which is nearly 5 years ago now.

We stopped off for the night on our drive back to London from Cornwall. The kids absolutely loved the room and were appreciative of the welcome pieces of chocolate! The room was excellent value for money, super spacious and very clean. Great leisure facilities also. I enjoyed an early morning swim and steam before breakfast.

The lady at reception was helpful and really assisted us with our needs, but didn’t appear as if she was doing it willingly! Even when we were super friendly and appreciative of her help she didn’t crack a smile. The other hotel and spa staff were all very friendly though.

We came about 2.30 room wasn’t ready. We requested for the room to be together but it wasn’t and they eventually put us into two room that was opposite each other. I ended up going to owe any that day as I slept on the steps going to the swimming pool as is so steep. My hand started swelling and I thought I fractured it. I told the guy at reception what happened when we came back before 2am and he said he was too late to fill in an accident form. He will send somebody tomorrow morning to fill in the form but nobody came.

Room wasn’t ready when we came. Even though we requested the rooms to be together when we came, the room were not together eventually they managed to find two room opposite each other. The step going into the swimming pool is way too steep

Spacious and airy, both the public spaces and our room, we felt this was a high quality establishment. Our room had everything we could need for a two night stay: the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a bath with a shower over it, nice toiletries and large, soft towels. There was a good selection of different hot drinks that we could brew up, a complementary large bottle of water, and a fridge. The staff were lovely and friendly, both at reception, in the restaurant and bar and in the health spa. We made use of the swimming pool which was warm, and we were glad that we'd been advised to book a slot when we did as it was popular and could have been too crowded at other times. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Green Park, which combines being a business park with also being a haven for wildlife. Lots of ecofriendly features which are always good to see.

Drinks at the bar were quite expensive but really all was great.

We stayed in a suite which, was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 3. All toiletries were provided in large bottles, so we didn’t run out. Staff were friendly and there was lots of choice for breakfast. Would recommend adding Breakfast to the room rate, as this was only £35 more for 2 days. To pay for this as the hotel would have been £18 each per day. Would recommend staying here if attending an event at the Reading stadium. However we were the only ‘away’ visitors. Regardless everyone was still friendly.

Not much to dislike really. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and politely by the staff. It is positioned next to a retail park - so not much close by in terms of eating out. Just the usual fast food outlets.

Family Suite was large, and comfortably catered for the 5 of us, bathroom was also a good size. Beds were probably the most comfortable hotel beds we've slept on. Food and drink was OK, if a little over priced. Despite being a match day, drove to and parked OK (free), and this also didn't impact our stay too much. Breakfast (included) was a good variety and tasty. Loads of options, especially with kids, although the fresh fruit wasn't quite. The kids enjoyed the Easter hunt laid on around the reception/communal areas.

Staff were a little 'distant', and not particularly friendly. Got completely ignored by two waiters just because we weren't their allocated table. Servers also kept clearing plates as soon as that person had finished eating, despite others at the table still finishing. 12.5% service charge automatically added to food bill. This is just a personal bugbear of mine. A tip should be offered and earned, not just taken, especially when the service is not particularly up to scratch. You shouldn't have to ask to have a tip removed from a bill. It smacks of somewhere that knows they wouldn't be tipped if they didn't add it themselves, which equals bad service. WiFi was intermittent in room, dropping out several times.
