The staff were simply amazing, a special thanks to Thozi, Nokubonga and manager Sammy. They took excellent care of us during our stay, and gave me a token for my birthday, which I celebrated there. The location was excellent, smacked in the middle of restaurants, cafes, grocery etc, and the ocean with the most beautiful sunset across the street. The room was spacious and cozy with turn down service in the evenings. Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food options and bubbly to start your day right 😊 I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The shower could do with a good cleaning, they tried to address it but didn't quite achieve it. I also noticed that there was no toothbrush provided, not a negative for me because I brought, but just to highlight it in case someone needs it.

Really liked location and the hotel itself had all facilities, pools, gym, spa and restaurants. Very convenient to all local attractions and friendly staff.

Booked a transfer from the airport which didn't turn up. Ended up ok as we just ordered uber which was cheaper. Bedding configuration was twin instead of double, after 3 requests it was remedied and all was good. Shower could have done with a good scrub and housekeeping ran out of bath size towels. Day spa change room was down the hallway so you had to pad in your robe and slippers near areas that had a conference that day

Just book it—you won’t regret it! We absolutely loved our stay at The Bay Hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had such a cozy, homey feel, with a beautiful view to top it off (ocean and mountains) The staff were amazing—so warm, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was a highlight too, especially with the spectacular ocean view while we dined. The location couldn’t be better. Step outside the gate, and you’re right on the beach. Our only regret? Not spending our entire trip here. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing breakfast- buffet / lots to choose from. It’s an experience with the most amazing view - I could sit all day having breakfast. Servers were so good and helpful. Accommodated all my needs for a birthday celebration, especially the most awesome welcome birthday gift which awaited us in our room - wine and cheese plate😋Room was cleaned and bellman was overwhelmed but handled everything with poise and energy. Loved and tried all the restaurants and bars and lounging areas - truly a great stay!

Beautiful location. Most staff very friendly (especially the bistro staff). Comfortable room - I had a room with a terrace, which was very nice for relaxing in. I loved the bed; it was large, with loads of pillows and extra blankets, and so nice to sleep in. Gorgeous sunsets from the room (if your room faces the beach), the pool, and the bistro restaurant. Good level of security.

The restaurant menu was quite limited for dinner. For breakfast, there were yoghurts etc. in the buffet offering, but no spoons were laid out, so you had to go and ask for a spoon - just put some spoons out ready for the guests, please!

The perfect location , you just walk to the restaurants , the beach . the hospitality , I had a really good view of the beach . Honestly I think you can’t beat a bay hotel view . The room was spacious and comfy , I ate at the restaurant . The portions were so big and food was tasty . They had options of welcoming drink . The hop on and hop off bus is right outside the hotel. I will definitely go back . Also a champagne breakfast . They agreed for a late check out that was not charged and I could enjoy the hotel amenities while I waited for my night flight . My room also was upgraded just perfect .

Breakfast could have more options . I didn’t like that the security at the gate have to check your booking when you first come .

Friendly staff, always smiling respectful and polite. Hotel was very close to great restaurants and the beach and opposite the open top City Tours bus. Breakfast till 11am.

The beggars were a bloody pest and 2 were abusive. One sat with a 2 yo, and persistently pestered us, at one point the baby ran after me with the cup for money. Nearby Simons Town had very poor people but not one approached us, we were told the people in the town look after them. Camps Bay needs to deal with this, we couldn't use the beach area for constantly getting asked for money and to look at art work.

We had such an enjoyable time at the Bay Hotel to finish our SA honeymoon. The kind staff upgraded our room to a stunning sea view, and we couldn't have appreciated this gesture more. The location is the best you can get in Camps Bay, allowing walking everywhere. The many pools have plenty of sunbeds and very attentive staff. The attention to detail is brilliant, and I really enjoyed the welcoming drink, too. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend it. Thanks for being the cherry on top of a wonderful honeymoon!

The breakfast service was weak compared to staff elsewhere in hotel You regularlry had to seek out a staff member to order tea/coffee and cooked breakfast options The location of our room was at the back with a mountain view Unfortunately our room also over looked the padel courts which were busy from early to 10pm and much noisier than we were expecting - not a very "quiet" room.

The Bay Hotel is a superb choice for those wishing to enjoy Camp’s Bay. The hotel is within a short walking distance to dozens of great restaurants and cafes and is just across the road from the beach. The staff at the hotel were all superb and friendly. We really enjoyed our time there.
