property is located a little way from the main centre of Bergamo and also the high town. However, it is a fairly easy walk from the station in about 10-15 mins and the nearby main road has a number of buses that run past. There is a self check in process that requires a smart phone and internet, I managed to cope with it ok. No real need for a reception due to the self check in, however Jordan on the desk was very friendly and helpful. Bars, restaurants and grocery shops within the vicinity.

Breakfast is basic, however its made clear what it consists of beforehand so you pays your money you takes your choice.

The hotel is well located and only a 10 minute walk to the centre. We stayed in a lovely room in the eaves of the hotel, no lift but only 3 floors up and easy to climb. The room was spacious and attractive and the bed was comfortable. The decor is rustic and there is a lovely private roof terrace, as well as a larger roof terrace attached to the shared dining room. Breakfast with an assortment of cakes and other sweet treats is brought on a tray to the room.

As we left, there was no one at reception to help us book a taxi, but otherwise the management was very good.

Location is excellent- not far from the train station (30 min walking), 10 min walking to city center, not far to the Città Alta. Good value for the money. Breakfast is very basic and only sweets, it's ok for 1-2 days stay. Self check-in/check out, doors are open from the mobile phone.

2 of 5 days coffee machine was broken, we had to ask staff to make coffee for the breakfast.

Everything was very clear from the start. Check-in, policies. The room was extra clean. The reception was lovely and helpful. The location is really calm. I would recommend this hidden pearl! The atmosphere in the building is lovely, tasteful the design is really modern and beautiful but at the same time, everything is where (facilities). The breakfast policy is amazing. I feel like visiting a lovely friend.

Everything was perfect!

My experience was overall very good. The hotel was great, and I really enjoyed my stay. However, the only downside was the breakfast. It was more like a selection of snacks rather than a proper meal. As someone who travels around the world, I’ve often paid less and received much better breakfast options. A good breakfast really makes a difference when you’re traveling. If the hotel improves the breakfast, it would truly be one of the best places to stay.

Nothing

All the sweets that staff was brining everyday, the central heating and the hot water, which made out stay very cosy, are the main things we liked. Also we had nice terrace with a table and chairs, maybe during summer it will be nice sitting outside. Location is 10 over 10, very close to everything needed - it’s not far from the city centre (10 mins walk), but also it’s closer to Citta Alta being located in the East, than the West side of the city; fruits and vegetables and bakery next to the hotel; there’s a restaurant downstairs and also very close there’s Aldi supermarket, pizza restaurant and other traditional Italian restaurants. Also there’s a pharmacy very close. Overall we fell inlove with the neighbourhood and Bergamo at all.

Power-outlets were kind of difficult to use, hairdryer has larger plugs and it hardly fit in one. A shower shelf can be put for shampoos and stuff in the cabin.

Stayed here only for a couple of nights during a short trip to Bergamo but had a great stay. 🙂 Staff was helpful, the room and surrounding facilities were tidy and clean. Nice selection for in-room breakfast. The check-in was very easy and quick. The location of the hotel was great- no issue getting to the city centre or the old city. Overall we had a pleasant stay at Locanda Cece e Simo.

We made sure to let the staff know of our arrival time, however the room was not ready. However, the staff was very nice about it and let us leave the luggage in the room.

Quite location in a walking distance to train station/city centre/cita alta. The breakfast is sweet a pastry packed in a sack+juice. You may prepare a coffee with Illy machine all day long and the common fridge is present in the kitchen. Very nice teracce for breakfast, evening wine

Too thin walls - toilette/shower from next room very hearable

The location was within easy walking distance of restaurants and the historic centre of Bergamo but also close to the bus stop. The owner was so helpful regarding onward travel and my dietary requirements. Thank you.

The checking in process was a bit annoying because it necessitates a mobile phone and internet access. Not the quickest of procedures for some.

It's a nice small hotel a bit distant from the downtown on a quite street. The only problem was registration and electronic key. If your cell phone is dead, or internet is slow you might not be able to open the doors.. Also the policy about additional charges is not clear.. We were charged and our friends, who left later, weren't.. The room was spacious, high ceilings, pretty cool inside even without AC. Don't expect to get continental breakfast. These are sweets, cookies and coffee, but that's what Italians have for breakfast, so were felt like Italians these few days ;-)
