My stay at Hotel Cavour was wonderful. I arrived when it was already dark and the reception was open and ready to get me checked in. The staff were super friendly and when I asked them to open a bottle of wine for me, they were ready with the bottle opener! The hotel is in an awesome location. It was very quiet during my stay as well. An added bonus was the nice breakfast with the free cappuccinos! I'd stay here again!

It was perfect

I recently stayed in this hotel, and it was good. The staff at the front desk were attentive but the lady at the breakfast room was unfortunately very arrogant and was obviously not at her place. We just left to get our breakfast in a place nearby to avoid her bad mood. The hotel's location is ideal, offering easy access to key attractions. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms was good – they were spacious and very clean. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a prime location, and comfort. I would just take it without breakfast as their are very nice place around.

The property was in an exceptional location. It was really lovely inside and very clean. Rooms were really big and the bathroom was huge and all newly renovated. Breakfast was included and it was ok. Nice soaps and lotions in the bathroom.

It was really strange that it had a little area with a fridge but no kettle or coffee machine. Not a single thing. The fridge had bottles of water in it so we assumed they were complimentary as there was no mention of a charge but we were charged when we left. We were a little annoyed just on principle as there was nowhere on the premises to get a drink of water as the bar never appeared to open and there wasn’t even a glass in the room to have a drink.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel except for the sofa bed I slept on. It was severely indented and could use replacing. The breakfast was average, nothing terrible about it but also nothing to write home about. The location of the hotel is great. Very central to the stores and restaurants and I felt safe walking even very late at night. It's also very close to the train station--I walked (with two luggages) when I arrived to the city instead of calling a taxi. There was also a nice flea market going on around the corner from the hotel on a Friday.

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.

The location was perfect. It was close to the city center, a manageable walk to the train station and just across the road from Franco Rossi's Restaurant which I wanted to visit as it was mentioned in the John Grisham novel The Broker. The room was a little dated. The bedside lamps were damaged. Breakfast was pretty standard with freshly made coffee brought to the table after ordering. The Reception staff were very helpful.

Staff was extremely friendly; we arrived very early on a hot day and were allowed to check in to a cool room hours ahead of schedule. Location is excellent for restaurants shopping and major tourist attractions while a half Block off the main thoroughfare it was very quiet and peaceful. Generous and very tasty breakfast included as well. I’d definitely stay here again when back in Bologna.

Rooms and overall hotel could be updated a bit but that’s a minor quibble. I liked the old school character of the hotel.

Great location just a short walk to the piazza and church. When we were there they were doing major work on the tram line in the adjoining street but it didn't interfere with us at all. We used the quad room with 4 beds for our family and it was great. Breakfast was nice and offered a selection of things. Staff were friendly and it has a great little courtyard inside if you want to step out for a bit.

No air conditioning. It wasn't too hot, but the rooms got warm fast. If it's summer I'd imagine it could get hot.

The hotel reception staff were very helpful and approachable. Our room (which was a quadruple room) opened onto a generous and attractive verandah with comfortable furniture. As one of us had an injury it provided a pleasant alternative to the hotel room. There was a lift - essential for my partner's injury. The breakfast was great and included a good range of eating options.

The only thing that I would add is that it would have been nice if an electric jug had been provided in the room - to boil water for tea, etc. Otherwise, it was excellent.
