The location is excellent, so close to many of the main sights and there are restaurants aplenty in this area. Also an easy walk to the train station for a day trip to Verona. Especially loved the decor in the public areas. The breakfast is outstanding, many choices and beautifully presented. I required a gluten free breakfast as I’m coeliac. This was no problem at all, I was given 2 types of bread, biscuits muesli and other treats in addition to eating being from the main bThe hotel booked a taxi to the airport as we checked out and it came promptly. Each member of staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. We’d highly recommend this hotel.

Drinks in the roof garden terrace were a bit on the expensive side but did come with olives, cheese, bruschetta and crisps.

The apartment that we staying in was modern and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was a good size space for our family of four.

We stayed in a Hotel Metropolitan apartment. It was made very clear when we booked that the apartments were 200 meters away, and not in the actual hotel. I assumed that meant that the apartments were across the street, or at least on the same street as the hotel. As it turned out, the apartments were about three blocks away, on a totally different street. In order to enjoy the amenities of the hotel (such as the roof top bar), we had to walk three blocks back to the hotel.

Good sized room, comfortable bed, good selection at breakfast, staff friendly. Location of hotel between old town sights and train station to access Parma, Modena, etc. Loved the rooftop bar.

Seating in breakfast room too low and soft. Only one chair in bedroom. We expected a shower but the shower was over a large jacuzzi bath. I asked for a non slip mat but my partner could not get over the side safely. There was very little hanging space and just 6 hangers provided. Perhaps they only expect 1-2 day stays, not 5 days?

We had a great stay at Met Apartments! The rooftop bar exclusively for residents was a highlight—perfect for relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view. The service throughout our stay was excellent, and the sommelier really stood out with fantastic wine recommendations. The towels and bathrobes were high quality, and the beds were super comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and even gave us great local food recommendations.

The only downside for us was the room design—it was very minimal and all white, which made it feel a bit too much like a hospital. The internet connection was quite poor during our stay, also it was impossible to stream anything from our own devices to the TV. This was a bit disappointing, especially in the evenings when we wanted to relax with a movie. But overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back!

Hotel Metropolitan exceeded all expectations! The location is absolutely perfect — central, convenient, and close to everything you’d want to explore. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Our room had a beautiful balcony that added a lovely touch to the experience, and the rooftop lounge is simply stunning — a perfect place to relax and enjoy the city views. Everything about the hotel was top-notch. My only small suggestion would be to consider updating the older jacuzzi and replacing it with a modern shower box, but that’s just a minor wish in an otherwise perfect stay. Would definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone visiting the city!

A very stylish hotel in the very centre of Bologna. Clean, comfortable and a good breakfast. The rooftop bar is also very pleasant.

The central location means a good deal of street noise, and we also heard a lot of noise from the room above us and from the corridors. Awful lighting above the bathroom mirror

The property is tucked away on a quiet street within a short walk to all parts of the historic city center. The room and facilities were very well maintained. The roof top bar was excellent and provided fantastic views of the city. Staff were friendly and always helpful.

The room, advertised as having a view, did not have one as the connected terrace was in the building’s light well and enclosed on four sides. This was not a huge issue for us since we were out wandering through the city most of the time, and the terrace doors and bathroom clerestory did provide natural light and fresh air. The sliding doors to the bathroom do not provide privacy - they are trendy but not practical for more than one person.

The Location was fantastic! We felt safe and were right in the heart of where we wanted to stay, close to restaurants and shopping. The room beautiful, very spacious and decorated nicely. We had a beautiful balcony with chairs to go out and sit in. It had a gorgeous roof top area and a very nice breakfast room.

We absolutely hated the shower. It was impossible to take a shower and not have the water spray everywhere. You have to climb over into a massive bathtub and stand in it to take a shower and the tiny little glass wall that is supposed to keep the water in, leaked from the bottom. The mattress was very hard but I think that is the norm in that area. Everyone was very helpful at the front desk except for one lady that flat out refused to help us make a reservation at a restaurant for dinner, very rude. Besides her, everyone else went out of their way to help us and spoke English.

The property is very modern, with nice furniture and a very large bathroom with a rain-head shower that very large. The heated bathroom floors were a plus too. There were windows that opened too so we could get some fresh air. The staff was very accommodating and called us a cab at 4 am in the morning for our trip to the airport. The property is right in the center of Bologna and within very easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. The hotel front desk staff provided a map and marked many interesting sites we could walk to from the hotel. This property exceeded our expectations!

Room well appointed and lovely outside space which was very quiet considering the close proximity to the City centre. Rooftop bar was great for late evening drink, Guilo, Jacomo and Aldo were very attentive and a friendly, professional service displayed when taking orders / offering snacks etc. Front Desk staff equally helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much to ask when we did need their assistance. Great location on the doorstep of all amenities and access to railway station for trips to Florence / Pisa which was all easy although purchasing the train tickets does take some time and requires email addresses as verification etc but once done, easy to navigate around the rail system which is highly efficient!
