Staff at reception and breakfast were exceptionally friendly and helpful

When we stayed in 2019 it was nice to have an after dinner spritz before retiring. No bar this time and we were advised to go to sister hotel which we did.

The hotel was very clean and updated. We are traveling in a group of 3 and it was very nice that 2 of the beds were together and 1 was a little bit separate from the other 2. Also the breakfast staff were amazing. Trisha and Adrienne were there to help when it was very busy. Adrienne went out of his way to get my son a plastic spoon that we could take to use on the train and water for our walk.

There was a market that was a little noisy right next to the hotel and construction on the street for the new street train. But the noise was not too much.

We arrived at midnight and the two guys at reception were extremely welcoming, despite the late hour. It was a 10 to 15 minute walk from the airport monorail to the hotel with our bags and we felt very safe. The beds were comfy and the sheets were so soft, I should have asked for the brand to buy some to bring home. We were given 3 towels per person which is the perfect amount but quite unusual. Breakfast was delicious, highlight was a large slab of honeycomb that I ate with delicious cake. Location was excellent, set back from main road so quiet, but easy walking to sights, bars and restaurants.

Location would be better if it weren’t for tram works. Not too far from station and main sites. Bathroom pretty good and clean. Not much to really dislike. We often sat on the sofa near the lift, as no chairs in room. We liked Bologna, walked all around, saw the sights, ate couple of times in street top side of hotel.

Empty buildings next to hotels horrible. Prefer an adjustable shower head, but shower otherwise good. Shaving mirror not practical, doesn’t get the light. Wi-Fi goes off after short time. Breakfast not the most enjoyable ambience to start the day.

The location of the hotel could not be beat- half way between the train station at the center of town. It was clean, the AC worked great (it was VERY hot the week we were there), and the staff was cheerful and helpful. We got down to breakfast at the end of the time period, and many things were gone. The staff quickly and efficiently replenished things and I especially appreciated the fresh fruit.

The room was tight, but there was room enough for everything. The hotel is on a major road that is currently under construction, so you have to walk a few blocks to catch a bus instead of the tram. It really wasn't a big deal, as the location was close and walkable to everything important.

Great location, friendly staff, and very clean. The breakfast is great. Definitely recommend for a short stay.

Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. Smaller than in Hong Kong or Singapore. It’s great for one day. More than that… I would stay elsewhere. Also Booking.com advertising is false: they charge taxes upon check out. Its not all included.

Lovely large room for 4. Two older daughters had a bed settee but it was in its own ‘room’ so not having to listen to their dads snoring :) Bathroom very clean and nice too. Location is great, walk up the archways to the central area or walk towards the park, which had a lively bar area with musicians playing.

Only downside was as there was no bar in the hotel you couldn’t get back after a long day and sit together have a drink and rest your legs. There is a bar in the hotel next door, but open… have to ask at reception and someone will come and serve you.

We were in a Studio apartment for 5 nights which was ideal. The studio has a very well equipped kitchenette as well as a washing machine and a full size ironing board which I realized from subsequent hotel stays is not the norm in Italy. The location is just around the corner from the hotel, but is very safe to access. There is an underground parking garage a few meters from the apartment which is convenient if coming by car. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel. Well maintained, very pleasant staff, comfy bed, good bathroom, plenty of hot water and a guide to the aircon control that actually makes sense. Very good location between train station and the centre. Roadworks are spoiling the view from the front at the moment, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Breakfast was very good when I arrived for it, but half an hour later food and crockery were both running out and not being replenished. It felt as if they could do with one or two more members of staff on breakfast duty.

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and in any case everything necessary was there. This is the only shower cubicle during my travels in Europe, that closed hermetically, so I did not have to step over an "ocean" after coming out of the shower. The safe worked and it was simple to use. The TV set worked, and the wifi was strong. There were power points (including USB) next to the bed. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, though I did not remember choosing the option with breakfast when I booked, which suggests that all guests are served breakfast. This is a very nice touch, and I wish more hotels acted the same way: one feels welcome. The elevator was small and rather slow. However, I was on the second floor and could easily take the steps to go up or down when in a hurry. The location is central, walking distance to Piazza Maggiore (the heart of Bologna), other attractions, and the train station. Public buses stop nearby. The staff at reception when I arrived was very efficient, competent, and courteous. When I come to Bologna I usually stay elsewhere, but this hotel was a very nice discovery, and for a short stay very pleasant. I will certainly be back in the future.

1. The room was a little small, and so was the bathroom. There was a little window, but it might have faced on an internal courtyard, because not much light came through. 2. There is not much room to place one's personal items, .e.g., beauty-case, clothes, etc. in the room. Also there is a small table immediately under the TV set, which I used to put my personal things on, but then I could not use it for anything else. 3. The power box is covered by a black box which protrudes several cm outside of the wall and looks as though its edges and corners are rather sharp: I needed to watch out for it, because accidentally hitting my head against it would have certainly caused a lot of mess in the room.
