A very cozy house with a spacious garden and beautiful mountain views. Quiet and peaceful location, perfect for relaxation. The hosts were welcoming and always ready to help. The property has its own idea and history, which makes the stay even more unique and inspiring. Easy access to the lake and main attractions by car. We were especially grateful for the possibility to stay with our dog (extra cost of 15/20€ per night). Dogs are welcome to enjoy the garden, while the designated toilet area is outside the property — this keeps the garden cozy and pleasant for everyone. Special thanks for the detailed instructions we received in advance on how to find the parking and reach the property.

The parking is located further down the street, but we easily found a free spot.

Incredible in every possible way. The location is perfect - very close to the ferry port (from where you can easily get to Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio, even Como) and bus stop, yet super quiet during nights so you sleep like a baby. Every road and path leading to Casa Lumaca is absolutely beautiful so even just strolling around is an unforgettable experience. Marina is an excellent host, super attentive to her guests, warm and elegant at the same time, she makes you feel at home (and it just so happens that this house is like a five-star castle;)) and you just don’t want to leave. Breakfasts are 10/10, super tasty and every day there was a homemade cake made by Marina herself. Cakes were to die for, just wow. This place is magical, we wish we could stay longer.

Super clean, tastefully remodeled B&B. Super spacious. Beautiful garden. It was extremely hot when we were here and the room AC worked perfectly. We looked forward to breakfast every morning - delicious perfectly ripe fruit cups…. Great restaurant recommendations - we visited 3 on their list. All were superior and beautiful settings. Super detailed and thoughtful about making sure you understood where to park your car. It was a very close by parking lot and did not pose a challenge for our group.

Because of the walk into the property needed and the need to climb stairs, I would not recommend for anyone not mobile.

Large, comfortable room and bathroom. Nice bed & bedding. Historic architecture, elegant decoration. Short 5-min walk to main street, lake. Good recommendations for local restaurants. Nice breakfast and very pretty outdoor patio area for eating.

The shower is very nice, but its floor is very slippery. The hotel was hard to find; its “street address” is actually a foot path, so our car’s GPS couldn’t find it and our phone’s GPS lead us to a spot on the hill way above the hotel. Although the host sent us a picture of the sign posted on the road to alert us in advance, unfortunately that did not help. The little hotel sign is tiny and the foot path sign is obscured by leaves. Fortunately, the host, Marina, was very responsive and was able to send her location to us and then met us in the nearest parking lot. I recommend that the hotel update its instructions to help guests. They could mention that the best place to unload luggage is in the temporary parking area at the intersection of Via Ugo Ricci and Via Monte Crocione.

The breakfast was fantastic! Marina has lovingly renovated this beautiful building and the garden is spectacular. Marina and her staff go out of their way to provide a safe, clean and peaceful environment. I loved that is a bit removed from the tourist areas and in a very peaceful residential area. Woke up to the sounds of very happy birds :). Beautiful walk to the lake to and from the Casa. Would highly recommend!

You must be prepared to walk a bit from the parking lot to the Casa. It is fine if you are physically able but not as accessible for those with any kind of mobility issues.

Tremezzo is an incredible place, and staying at this beautiful villa was nothing short of perfect. The villa, set on a hill with breathtaking views of the mountains, has an amazing garden that adds to the charm. From the moment I arrived, Marina made me feel warmly welcomed, and everything exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was exceptional. Tremezzo itself is a special gem on the lake, and my stay here for a few days was exactly what I needed. I'm truly grateful to have found this magical place and can't wait to return.

The house is ancient and located in the middle of a historical village, it was renovated with style and attention to details. Staying here feels very authentic. The breakfast is generous (sweet and savoury dishes, delicious homemade cakes, coffee) and is served in a picturesque garden. Tremezzo ferry port and Villa Carlotta are at walking distance. Marina was very friendly and welcoming.

An inevitable problem of an old house is that you can basically hear everything which is going on in the neighbouring rooms.

Casa Lumaca is a hidden gem in the hills of Lake Como. Marina is an exceptionally warm and welcoming host and her property is too beautiful for words. She has created a wonderful, relaxing, and romantic haven for travelers to have a genuine experience in Como in opposition to the many touristy accommodations that are out there. Breakfast was one of the best that we had throughout our entire trip in Italy - fresh, local, and simply delicious! We are already trying to figure out when we can plan our next visit back.

Marina was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was just as beautiful as the photos, the charm of the building remained while keeping a modern and comfortable room. The breakfast was lovely and every part of the stay was authentic. My partner and I stayed here while we married in Lake Como and I could not choose a better place for our trip
