Large, comfortable room and bathroom. Nice bed & bedding. Historic architecture, elegant decoration. Short 5-min walk to main street, lake. Good recommendations for local restaurants. Nice breakfast and very pretty outdoor patio area for eating.

The shower is very nice, but its floor is very slippery. The hotel was hard to find; its “street address” is actually a foot path, so our car’s GPS couldn’t find it and our phone’s GPS lead us to a spot on the hill way above the hotel. Although the host sent us a picture of the sign posted on the road to alert us in advance, unfortunately that did not help. The little hotel sign is tiny and the foot path sign is obscured by leaves. Fortunately, the host, Marina, was very responsive and was able to send her location to us and then met us in the nearest parking lot. I recommend that the hotel update its instructions to help guests. They could mention that the best place to unload luggage is in the temporary parking area at the intersection of Via Ugo Ricci and Via Monte Crocione.

The breakfast was fantastic! Marina has lovingly renovated this beautiful building and the garden is spectacular. Marina and her staff go out of their way to provide a safe, clean and peaceful environment. I loved that is a bit removed from the tourist areas and in a very peaceful residential area. Woke up to the sounds of very happy birds :). Beautiful walk to the lake to and from the Casa. Would highly recommend!

You must be prepared to walk a bit from the parking lot to the Casa. It is fine if you are physically able but not as accessible for those with any kind of mobility issues.

Breakfast was very nice.

The location was more of a walk uphill than I would have preferred as I have a bad knee which made climbing all the stairs difficult, but it had so much character it was worth it. Marina was lovely and took good care of us.

Tremezzo is an incredible place, and staying at this beautiful villa was nothing short of perfect. The villa, set on a hill with breathtaking views of the mountains, has an amazing garden that adds to the charm. From the moment I arrived, Marina made me feel warmly welcomed, and everything exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was exceptional. Tremezzo itself is a special gem on the lake, and my stay here for a few days was exactly what I needed. I'm truly grateful to have found this magical place and can't wait to return.

The house is ancient and located in the middle of a historical village, it was renovated with style and attention to details. Staying here feels very authentic. The breakfast is generous (sweet and savoury dishes, delicious homemade cakes, coffee) and is served in a picturesque garden. Tremezzo ferry port and Villa Carlotta are at walking distance. Marina was very friendly and welcoming.

An inevitable problem of an old house is that you can basically hear everything which is going on in the neighbouring rooms.

Casa Lumaca is a hidden gem in the hills of Lake Como. Marina is an exceptionally warm and welcoming host and her property is too beautiful for words. She has created a wonderful, relaxing, and romantic haven for travelers to have a genuine experience in Como in opposition to the many touristy accommodations that are out there. Breakfast was one of the best that we had throughout our entire trip in Italy - fresh, local, and simply delicious! We are already trying to figure out when we can plan our next visit back.

Very beautiful house and room with a cozy atmosphere. Marina was lovely, very friendly and helpful with great suggestions and recommendations. Great shower. Nice homemade breakfast. Great point from which to explore Tremezzo and the Como lake area.

It was a bit cold in the room, so Marina turned on the heating for us but for some reason the next morning it was off again so the room got quite cold during the night. Parking is available nearby, but not right next to the house (about 300 meters away). Would love more savory options at breakfast.

The room was dreamy, spacious and very nice decoration with a breathtaking view. Very comfortable bed, king size with good sheets and pillows. Nice bathroom, shower with good pressure. Marina is and excellent host, she gave us recomendations for visiting places and provided an awesome home made breakfast. Location is good, it's close to ferry station so you can visit Varenna or Bellagio.

You have to walk a copuple of stone paths uphill to get there. It's not a bad thing if you know it beforehand, it's just the way the city is.

Everything was just perfect. - The host was super nice and friendly. I could see that she is very passionate about running this B&B. Thank you, Marina for having us! - Breakfast was delicious - we could try local meat and cheese products, coffee, cakes, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice etc. - The room was nicely decorated, it had this nice vibe. - We were considering staying in a hotel just at the Lake Como coast but read a lot of reviews that it was super loud because of the busy road and all the motorcycles and cars passing by. I was very happy that we chose this location as it was quiet, we could rest and relax.

Nothing to complain about, it was a very pleasant B&B. Please, take into consideration that you can't park your car directly next to the property. The free parking is around 200m from Casa Lumaca so it wasn't a problem for us.

Casa Lumaca is a jewel of an inn, impeccably designed and cared for by the host, Marina. Each room is beautiful and the large yard is surrounded by mountains and foliage, a refuge from the nearby tourist activity. The inn itself is located in an ancient neighborhood where one listens to birds singing instead of cars, yet it is also possible to walk from the inn to different areas around the lake, or to use the inn as a home base from which to travel, as we did. The owner, Marina, is a hostess par excellence. She welcomes her guests with a generous breakfast in the morning and wine in the afternoon. She provided us with invaluable information about the area, and exceeded our expectations more than once with her helpfulness. Casa Lumaca offers a beautiful space to stay that is slightly off the beaten path, welcoming and intimate while also conveniently located. We felt like we had found a lovely, special place to stay while in Lake Como.
