The hotel was situated overlooking the lake which was lovely. There was a restaurant within the hotel which was buzzing and lively and the hotel very kindly permitted us to bring our dog with us. The waiting staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. Food was good overall although I was a little bewildered and disappointed by my choice of main course, fillet of turbot which arrived in a ‘crackly boil in the bag’ type of presentation. Not what I was expecting from what appeared to be a very sought after local restaurant. The room was very clean but fairly basic although the view compensated and we had a good breakfast with lake glimpses the following morning.

The parking was difficult although we did eventually manage to park in one of the allocated spaces. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room which we like.( No complimentary water either). The hotel was on a busy road, some cars driving very fast along this narrow stretch of road. Our dog was very nervous because of this and although the hotel is pet friendly it was stressful walking her from the hotel. There was a small green area nearby but for a longer stay finding somewhere to walk her would have been challenging. Although this hotel was pet friendly, sadly it didn’t suit us and our pet, but it was manageable for a one night stay.

The accommodation was as described. There was no kettle in the room. So we asked for one and they brought it up to our room almost immediately. The breakfast was great and they accommodated our gluten free diet very well. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and attentive at breakfast.... The balcony was great, but a little small.

Tremezzo has limited restaurants and very few provide gluten free options and the hotel's restaurant was very expensive for dinner. It rained a lot when we were there, limiting our ability to have dinner elsewhere. It is well served by ferries if the weather is good €4:60 to Varenna, €9:20 return. The ferries were very busy on Sunday afternoon, waiting over an hour to return from Varenna....... There is no communal space to sit apart from the restaurant in the hotel.

La Darsena is a hotel & restaurant along the road on the western side of Lake Como. It is very well situated because it has amazing views of the lake. It is a simple hotel but very comfortable and the staff were all friendly. The restaurant is a gastronomic restaurant with absolutely delicious food - their unique and different take on the tiramisu is highly-recommended, among others. They also have an excellent wine list with decent prices (I recommend the Valpolicella and Lugana DOC Vigneto Massoni). This hotel is near Tremezzo, where you can take a smaller ferry to Bellagio, but you can also walk a bit further to Cadenabbia (about 15-20min) to take the other more frequent ferry. It takes about 15min on the ferry from Cadenabbia to Bellagio. It is easy to have this hotel as a base and do a day trip to Bellagio rather than stay in often-crowded Bellagio. We will definitely stay here again!

The location is perfect. The boat station is just a few metres away from the hotel, so you have easy access to other places on the side of the lake. The hotel has a lift so it's easy for you to get to your room with bags. Our room was spacious and comfortable. I always appreciate a room with a safe, so you can leave your documents during the day without having to worry about it. The breakfast in the restaurant area was great and you can sit in the balcony area facing the lake. It was just the perfect way to start the day. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and the food and service was excellent.

Our room was on the corner of the building so we had partial views to the lake and facing the road. It's nothing to fault the hotel, but for privacy we had to keep our curtains shut all the time.

The location is perfect. There is an amazing public park right next to the hotel where you can go into lake como and sunbathe. There is also a boat transport stop a quick 5 min walk from the hotel. The view of the restaurant is perfect and the breakfast offered is well served with great and tasty coffee served. The rooms are spacious, with blackout curtains and the shower is great. There is an elevator and the staff were super accommodating with us when arriving later because of traffic. The staff is all very friendly and speaks English well!

There seems to be a small issue with the AC during the night. We stayed for 2 nights and it seems the AC gets "tired" around 1/2 am and the room gets a bit warm in the summer (around 28-30 celsius when we visited). The AC does go back to working and we would wake up in a fresh room.

The location above the lake is fantastic and the view is breathtaking! The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff very kind and helpful. The restaurant of the hotel is a great choice for dinner!

There was no coffee machine nor kettle in the room and this is something to be considered by the management. However, I have to say that the personnel in the restaurant was very kind and we were receiving our espresso well before the opening for breakfast. Thank you!

The warm welcome and hospitality of the family members that run La Darsena Hotel and Restaurant was amazing! They go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and that their special requests are well taken care of. The rooms are spacious and the décor of the dining area is very classy and elegant. Breakfast was a delicious spread and the family members are right there to serve their guests with a smile - very impressive! The hotel is located right on Lake Como and the views of the lake are spectacular! The New Year's Eve dinner at the restaurant was truly fine dining in every way - excellent service, a fabulous seven course dinner, music that filled the air with festive cheer and great ambience. The chef is one of the family members and it is evident that he cooks with a passion and creativity in every detail, including the presentation - bravo! This boutique hotel and restaurant is definitely the best!

We had a balcony room and it was wonderful to have a gorgeous view of Lake Como. The view was truly unbeatable. We had the corner room as well which afforded a lot of private space. There are nice restaurants in walking distance, it's close to the Ferry, the bus stop and the Greenway. It was easy to get checked in and out, and the front desk was helpful in giving us directions and booking us a taxi back to the train station.

I wish that the restaurant itself was a little more accessible to the travelers. It's very upscale and while breakfast was really nice and down to earth with other guests, we felt a little out of place the day we went downstairs for lunch. Luckily there are some other close by options we appreciated!

We stayed here for one night, and from the start, we didn’t expect anything special. We just wanted to stay somewhere near the lake. But we were surprised by this hotel for a few reasons: 1. They have an incredible restaurant. You won’t believe me, but during our trip across Italy, it has been difficult to find a restaurant with good cuisine in touristy places. But here… I wonder why they haven’t received a Michelin star yet. For dinner, we ordered a set menu with five dishes, and I would say they were amazing. Plus, the service was exceptional. We felt like royalty there. 2. The view from the restaurant overlooking Lake Como is terrific. Really, the view is amazing. They offer a free breakfast included in your stay, and this breakfast (prepared by their brilliant chef) with that view… Definitely, You need to experience it

Nothing. Everything was top-level: a renovated room, amazing cuisine in the restaurant, exceptional service...

All stuff was super nice and the service is good. I like most the cleanness because everyday they cleaned our room. The views from balcony were amazing. The location is amazing, you can walk nice restaurants and cafes from hotel. Rooms have smart tv. We got dinner at hotel's restaurant. Classic dinner set menu was 65 euros per person but I cannot say the food was amazing, I can say that the food was good and so enough. Minibar has so many things in it.

We did not like the pillows. I think they are uncomfortable. To a Turkish person(whose culture including vast majortiy of breakfast) the breakfast is ok but not enough, but we know that European breakfast style is that. I did not like the omelettes they smelled a bit overcooked. During the checkout, I got super important call from my dad, and reception called me 3 times (starting 11.03 a.m) in 10 minutes for the checkout. It was a bad experience for me because I was trying to handle a stressful call and the phone from reception did not stop. And lastly, in first day I asked whether they have slippers or not, the answer was "because we are 3-stars hotel, we don't have slippers" I can understand.
