The location was great and some of the staff like David (reception) and Jamal were very friendly and helpful. Having a parking was a big plus! Breakfast was good

The room was not clean enough, bathroom was very smelly. Some staff were weird (lady at reception was very negative and frowny all the time, i even told her it was my husband’s birthday and she didnt even smile) When we got to the room, the coffee cup had insects inside, i asked the reception staff to send someone to replace it, and suprisingly no one did. So i had to call and ask again. This was disgusting

How do I begin. It was a long journey from Phoenix to Zurich and then train to Como the following day. We arrived to find our room was a lake view suite! This is the signature room as seen in the hotel brochure. We had booked a lake view room but were amazed at this generous upgrade. Oh my, this is a luxurious and extremely modern room with automatic window blinds and electronic frosted glass wall to the bathroom. Very large and comfortable. The restaurant served amazing portions of veal medallions and cutlets, steak, seafood, and deserts. We are just your average couple in early retirement so this is purely my honest and voluntary opinion. I have been raving to my family about this experience as I continued on to Italy to meet them at this wonderful Tuscan villa where I am currently writing this review. Well done!

I can’t really find anything negative to say. It really was just that good.

We arrived mid-morning, and as expected, our room wasn’t ready. However, it was not a problem! We completed the check-in process and our bags were tagged and kept safe so that we could explore without having to carry our bags around. The guy at the desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and provided us with a free map on which he marked out the local market and points of interest. After a long day exploring Como and Bellagio, we returned to our hotel later that evening, collected our bags and room key card. Unfortunately, our key card didn’t work, and we were not the only ones! So back to reception we went. When we eventually got into our room, it was very comfortable and had a great view of the lake! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - buffet style. We were fortunate enough to get a seat next to the window, overlooking the lake. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel has an excellent location, making it very convenient to explore the old town. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and ferries and a funicular are just a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel. They also offer a fantastic breakfast and some of the best coffee I've ever had.

On the downside, there's no kettle in the room and the air conditioner doesn't cool, so you have to open the window, which lets in a lot of mosquitoes (October). Also the price for off season is quite high, but I think the hotel is worth it.

Location, location and location! It was several meter away from the ferry , likewise to the Funicular, Bus station, Carrefour and the Como Nord station. But most important was it was right in from of Lake Como. As I entered the hotel to check in, I loved the scent the entire hotel had. Even along the hallway to my room that soothing scent lingered. It felt absolutely clean. The housekeeping ladies were very helpful , courteous and greeted me with a smile. Always ready to assist. The bed was huge and comfortable and the pillows very soft. I slept so well. The buffet breakfast was excellent. It offered a wide selection of food. Assorted croissants, and other breads, assortment of fresh fruits, jams in small containers, cheeses, ham, salmon, fresh lettuce, juices, bacon, sausage. Scrambled eggs, mushrooms, veggies, and many many more. We were spoiled! Way to start the day.

When I arrived on board a taxi no one was there to help carry my luggage to the reception area. It would be a plus if there was a ramp to pull the luggage up for guest convenience. The bathroom needed more racks to hung pajamas and other clothes.

We had an amazing time in Como, the location is great, rooms are clean and decent sizes.

Overall we had a good stay but to be honest we were a bit surprise and desappointed with the fact that the staff was not welcoming at all, cold attitude and would not make any effort to accommodate any request whatsoever.

This is a first class hotel in a superb location, only about 200 yards from the ticket office for buying tickets for the boats to travel around the lake. It is also next to the centre of Como with all the main areas very close by e.g. the Duomo, the funicular, shops and restaurants etc. There is also a very pleasant walk around the lake, next to the harbour, just across the road from the hotel. Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice. Our room had an excellent view over the lake but this costs extra. The room has a 'proper' shower, rather than a shower over the bath.

The room could have been a little bigger. We didnt eat in the restaurant in the evening because we thought other nearby restarants offfered a better value and choice.

Excellent location; fantastic views of Lake Como; welcoming, accommodating staff; beautiful, comfortable room; included breakfast had wide variety of hot and cold items to satisfy any taste including champagne (a nice touch!).

The room ran warm, despite using the thermostat; we needed to crack a window (during winter, so this took nuance!) in order to sleep comfortably at night. Would have loved the ability to stream from our favorite services since the only English language channels on the satellite tv were news. Being able to watch a bit of something relaxing after a busy day of exploring would have been welcomed.

The hotel is beautiful, and it was in the perfect location. It is right next to the train station and bus station. We stayed in room 127, and the view from our room was outstanding. We had a view of the lake and beyond. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it, which set you up for the day to go sightseeing. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely look to go back.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel at all - my only gripe was the hotel bar closed a bit too early for us.

Beautiful property, apparently recently refitted to a very high standard, in a fabulous location, and one of the best breakfast buffets (and lovely breakfast room) I have ever had. Hotel also kindly allowed us late checkout and arranged an excellent transfer to airport.

Rooms were very hot and it was not possible to cool it down except by opening the window, but it was quiet enough outside at this time of year to do so. Our specification of a twin room made via booking.com did not appear to have been received but was accommodated on our request on arrival. The strangest thing was the two sets of steps up to the front entrance with no ramp or assistance to bring our bags in and no apparent alternatives around the side or back. On the way out though, the porter pushed a big trolley of all the cases straight down the stairs!
