The location is perfect!! You can walk everywhere from the hotel and you can even see the main train station from reception. The hotel had a real 'cosy' feel to it, and the views from the bar and restaurant were absolutely stunning!!! All the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast choices were extensive which was nice. The bar & restaurant have the MOST AMAZING views!! In the evenings the restaurant is very popular and you are advised to book a table. The food is awesome here, so that explains the popularity. They also serve the BEST NEGRONIs !!!

Breakfast was great with views of the Duomo from the rooftop restaurant. Lots of variety plus mimosas! It was organized and comfortable with a selection of American, English and European breakfast options buffet-style.

The room temperature was locked below 18 degrees celsius so it got very stuffy for us. We opened the window everyday and just before bed each night to cool the room down. This stay was in April and the outdoor temps were only around mid-sixties so this might be a big problem for some in the summer months. Also the hair dryer was not a friend to my hair and the provided shampoo/conditioner though plentiful was not great quality.

Everything about the property was rave-worthy. You feel the lush and welcoming ambience immediately upon entering the hotel. Courteous and friendly staff welcome you sweetly and someone offered to carry out luggage to our room. There is a small fridge in the room filled with goodies and bottled water and sodas. Free for guests. I really appreciated that. The bed was just awesome with crisp white linens. They provide wonderful argan infused toiletries- shampoo, body lotion, body wash etc. The breakfast in the 5th floor is fantastic. The view is spectacular. Do not miss it. Worth every penny. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the city center and all attractions are close by. I have already recommended it to friends. I won’t miss the opportunity to stay here again.

I highly recommend this hotel. Our room was very spacious, with a huge bed which had a comfortable mattress. The bathroom was big, lovely towels and excellent heating all around. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, hot and cold buffet. It was served on the top floor which had an amazing view of the Duomo. The location was perfect with cafes and restaurants just around the corner and the Duomo just under 10 minutes by foot. There is also a supermarket 5 minutes away. The main railway station is just a 3 minute walk away.

I have nothing negative to say.

Only steps away from the station, main shopping areas as well as the cathedral. Helpful concierge and staff, they suggested good restaurants and sunset points, called cabs as well since we were a family of 6 and there were no Ubers. Rooms were big and they had preserved the ancient windows which was a nice touch. They had a good view from the rooftop.

Hope they can improve the breakfast by adding some more variety as it was the same all 3 days. As well as improve lighting in the room it felt a bit dark and hard to read books after sunset. Also one of the lamps were connected to the plugs so when you switched off the lamp at night your phones would stop charging.

Location, overall appearance, cleanliness, size of room

- large flashing red lights over bed and over doorway in room affecting sleep! - no facial tissues in room besides a small pack in bathroom - water spilled onto bathroom floor from shower. Poor design. The corner needs a barrier since there is no slope on the edge of the shower tub - one elevator not working entire visit causing delays

Hotel Baglioni is in a great location. Just a stone's throw away from S. Maria Novella train station and five minutes walk from the Cathedral square and Giotto's bell tower. The city center with all its wonders is all walking distance The hotel has a great breakfast room on the top floor with large window panels from which you overlook the city skyline. I have stayed here a few times and breakfast never ceased to amaze me.

Some of the room's interior and finishing were old, but that is also the charm of this old palace and to be expected.

The room was very nice - big living room and a great bedroom. The shower and restroom were great. Had also another storage room. The hotel staff were very nice and it felt like a "real city hotel". I had a great time coming back every day and it was clean and organized. Really loved the central location.

Might be "too center" for you, as it's just around everything, especially main transportation area. There is no much noise if you close the windows, of course, so just FYI. The WIFI is very bad, and the breakfast, although having vast options, is pretty mediocre, for my taste. I'm sharing those as I'm looking for 100% return on value for my order. I understand it's not up to the hotel or an issue, just letting you guys know.

The location is excellent - very close to the train station and can be connected via an underground passage. The hotel is also very close to the main attraction eg the Duomo Cathedral and other attractions are not far eg a short distance to walk. The Hotel has a nice feel with dark wood and historical passages. We liked the room (not enormous but fine) and the housekeeping was excellent. Our bedding was changed every day, There is a free mini bar containing cold drinks. We did not have breakfast here but we had a drink on the terrace of the piano bar which has superb views over Florence and was very peaceful. The staff were friendly. There are lots of comments re the hardness of the beds. Our mattresses were firm but for us this was perfect and the pillows are firm and soft. The bathroom had constant hot water and plenty of toiletries. It is quite pricey but Florence is expensive and I guess this is the going rate.

We wished the television had Netflix or a movie channel etc.

Great location, beautifully decorated and a very good place for relaxing as well as working remotely, if needed. Highly recommend this hotel for a Renaissance kind of feeling if you're into history or literature.

On this occasion there was a persistent noise coming from the air vents located outside the toilet. It was not a big issue, but one which must be kept in mind or discussed with before booking. Other than this, the stay was exquisite.
