The staff is kind of rude. Specially the one serving breakfast. Also, the elevator was constantly out of service.

Slightly confusing of how to access the hotel as it now seems to be part of hotel garibaldi blu but reception made all clear. Room was decent size. Great location. Walkable to sights and only few mins from the train station.

The smallest shower I’ve ever seen in my life. I had to leave shower door open and lean out to get shampoo etc as literally no room to turn or bend down. Slightly hard bed but slept fine.

The location was ideal and was a short walk from the main train station. Restaurants are located directly out the front of the hotel in the Piazza. All the attractions of Florence were within a 15 minute walk from the hotel and the town is beautiful and clean, which made the walks very pleasant. The breakfast at the hotel was a great way to commence the day, hot and cold food were available. The staff were first class and accommodating at all times.

The room was small especially when we had big luggage. It wasn't much of a concern to us because we were out of the room most of the time sightseeing.

The hotel is part of Garibaldi Blu hotel, and when arriving we could not find the entrance until a nearby waiter pointed it out. The hotel is in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and the area is very safe and full of restaurants. The hotel really earns its 4-star rating as there are great, comfortable facilities such as a great lobby and helpful front desk, large rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was great with a large selection of sweet and savoury items, and you can order a cappuccino included with breakfast which was one of the best we had in all of Italy! The location is a few minutes from SM Novella train station and very practical for people travelling by train, like we were.

The route to get to the lift is very confusing - it is evident there are either plans for a separate entrance on the side, or it used to have a separate entry point and is now joined with Garibaldi Blu hotel since you first need to walk through lobby and breakfast area to get to your lift. The shower in our room was VERY small, and we are not large people. In fact the sliding doors are bent inwards as people clearly have trouble getting in and out. The bathroom is large enough to be able to accommodate a much larger shower so this was a bit strange.

Location was perfect to go around the city and to the train station. Interior design on the first floor made us feel like being at an art museum. Breakfast was very adequate, personally I liked the offered yogurt collection. The room was mostly quiet despite being in a crowded area. The staff taking care of the breakfast and checkin process were very attentive and professional.

The bathroom space was so small that there were no place to hang all of the used towels. When I asked if more water bottles could be provided per person, I was told that one water bottle on the table in the room is the only free offering by the hotel. On the arrival day, the floor corridor walls were being painted where our room was at the end of it. That said, these are all minor and understandable things. We had great time.

Difficult to find,neighbours knew Garibaldi Blue hotel but not Rosso 23 (same hotel!). Very good breakfast but extra 5.50 for an omelette seems unnecessary.

I loved that the hotel felt safe and the location was very convenient. Checking in early was AMAZING after traveling. The room was cozy, clean and quiet. Overall, great value for the price, and the breakfast was spectacular!

The design of the hotel was a little confusing. Sometimes I got lost trying to find my room or the hotel exit, especially since there was some construction happening. More signage would help. The bar would have been great if it had a more comfortable space, it felt a little empty.

We liked the overall style of the hotel. It was dark and medieval throughout the common areas. This was in keeping with the age of the building. We liked our large room overlooking the plaza and the church. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a heater when we were cold on our second night as only air conditioning available at the time of year late April. The shower was strong with plenty of hot water and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Toiletries were well supplied. We loved the breakfasts. Great supply to suit all tastes. Also there was a good supply of gluten free products, on request, for my coeliac husband.

We were aware of the noise levels from the square before we arrived. And it was indeed extremely noisy. We used ear plugs and we were fine. Do not expect a nights sleep if you are at the front of the hotel, without using ear plugs. You will also hear the church bells starting at 7am even with the ear plugs. But this did not cause us any problems. We didn't like the position of the shower head at the centre over the bath. We prefer it at one end. Also there was a shower curtain whilst we prefer a screen.

The location was perfect. Staff were friendly and breakfast was really nice. The room was very clean and had a nice balcony. It was a little hard to find my way to the lift first day but I managed to learn. I really liked the spaces, they matched the vibe of the city.

The room was too small. it did not have any lights except for a bedside lamp. also, there weren't enough plugs in the room. Also, it could get really hot during the day.
