Nice hotel with good quality in center of Florence.

Hotel does not inform its guests, even if u book hotel with parking, that hotel is located in special zone where cannot enter by car. You find out about this fact at the reception desk and then in order not to pay a fine you have to agree to take car to special parking lot for astronomical amount of money. I think that such action is unfair to its guests.

Perfect location! All attractions are within walkable distance. Room is big enough even after they put a extra bed for my Son! Super comfort bed and pillows. Nice, clean and awesome bathrooms. Very good continental breakfast. One of the best hotels i have stayed so far.

There is nothing to complain about!

General staff all friendly and helpful every day. Breakfast selection/choice was excellent with large choice of food, and again staff very helpful/friendly. View from room ideal overlooking river. Location ideal to get to all parts of city. Easy to use lift and 'comfortable' stairs to walk up/down.

Would have liked shelf in bathroom to locate wash bags but had to leave these on floor. Same applied to hotel supplied items ie plastic cups/box of tissues located on shelf at floor level below basin which was problem to access. Wardrobe space good but would have liked drawers to store shorts/underwear. Voice noise late at night travelled along corridors and our last night lot of noise coming from room above us which kept us awake. This was just the one incident.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Balestri! The entire staff—reception, porters, and housekeeping—were incredibly polite and courteous, making me feel right at home. Despite my not speaking Italian, they went out of their way to guide me to Florence's must-see tourist spots and historic landmarks, which I truly appreciated. I opted for the apartment instead of a standard hotel room, and it was a fantastic choice. The view from the tiny balcony, overlooking the city's vibrant main street, was breathtaking. Sipping my morning coffee there was one of the highlights of my trip! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a delicious breakfast, which was a nice touch. Additionally, the apartment included a washer—super convenient for those jumping from one city to another—and the bathroom was spotless and really well organized. My stay couldn't have been more comfortable. I'm so grateful to the entire Balestri team for making my experience so memorable. I can't wait to return!

Location is excellent. The hotel surprised us with how good it was. Reception staff excellent and friendly. Car parking valet system worked well.

We enjoyed dinner in the hotel - eating there because we had an exhausting day and didn't want to go out. The food was very enjoyable. The ambiance was spoiled by pretty loud music being played through only the treble part of a music system - apparently the base woofer had been stolen! It was like mega volume playing through a cell phone! I asked for it to be turned down a bit; it was, but crept up again. Also 16 Euros for a fairly weak Aperol Spritz is really poor value - beware!

The location was ideal and the hotel very comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with an extensive assortment of delectable choices.

No one’s fault, but the second night with no AC on a very hot night was not fun. There was a power outage in the city which somehow affected the AC in the whole hotel. We were jet lagged and very hot. The hotel brought us a small fan, but we had to rearrange our beds in order to get the most coverage. We tried leaving windows open at night but then the mosquitoes feast upon us. Again, we don’t blame the hotel, but it was a rough night with little sleep.

Breakfast was not bad but room for improvement . Bread even cut straight from a new loaf was always a bit dry and eggs did not stay hot in the hot plate . Beware if you arrive by car there is no parking on site and although there is a valet service for parking and delivers within a short time should you need the car it is a very expensive charge - approx 35-40 euros per night depending on size of car .

Excellent hotel and staff, wonderful location and very luxurious! We were very pleased with our stay. The bar downstairs is very nice and cosy, the bartender and his cocktails were some of the best that we have ever tried!

We loved everything, the only (small) improvement suggestion is that I was staying there for my Birthday and it would be nice to get a small card/little gesture from the hotel for special occasions, but it’s a “nice to have” rather than anything critical. We will definitely come back and stay at the hotel again.

Good location, clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, air conditioning worked very well in the 38c heat. Room ready when arrived an hour before check in and was always cleaned before midday during our stay. Powerful shower and dressing gowns and slippers well utilised. Breakfast in a bright, airy room with good amount of choice.

We had shower with bath which for those of a shorter height was quite hard to step in and out of. Think there are rooms with shower only though. Bathroom a bit dated compared to the room and didn’t have much space for toiletries, although they do provide their own. Not hotels fault but supposed to wait to be seated/shown to table for breakfast and some guests just barged in and sat down then wondered why had to ask for hot drinks rather than their order be taken when shown to table.

The appartaments were clean and cozy. The staff was helpful. The breakfast at the hotel - meh. You can do better. Do not serve orvercooked bacon and sausages.

There is a specific mould smell. You can smell it throughout most of the Venice premises and even in boutique shops like Channel or Dior but I am certain that hotels with 4 star qnd above ratings should take extra care and remove the mould before their guests smell it. The bathroom door had a leak of water and the balcony outdoor furniture is too old and should be renewed.
