Nice hotel with good quality in center of Florence.

Hotel does not inform its guests, even if u book hotel with parking, that hotel is located in special zone where cannot enter by car. You find out about this fact at the reception desk and then in order not to pay a fine you have to agree to take car to special parking lot for astronomical amount of money. I think that such action is unfair to its guests.

Perfect location! All attractions are within walkable distance. Room is big enough even after they put a extra bed for my Son! Super comfort bed and pillows. Nice, clean and awesome bathrooms. Very good continental breakfast. One of the best hotels i have stayed so far.

There is nothing to complain about!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Balestri! The entire staff—reception, porters, and housekeeping—were incredibly polite and courteous, making me feel right at home. Despite my not speaking Italian, they went out of their way to guide me to Florence's must-see tourist spots and historic landmarks, which I truly appreciated. I opted for the apartment instead of a standard hotel room, and it was a fantastic choice. The view from the tiny balcony, overlooking the city's vibrant main street, was breathtaking. Sipping my morning coffee there was one of the highlights of my trip! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a delicious breakfast, which was a nice touch. Additionally, the apartment included a washer—super convenient for those jumping from one city to another—and the bathroom was spotless and really well organized. My stay couldn't have been more comfortable. I'm so grateful to the entire Balestri team for making my experience so memorable. I can't wait to return!

Excellent hotel and staff, wonderful location and very luxurious! We were very pleased with our stay. The bar downstairs is very nice and cosy, the bartender and his cocktails were some of the best that we have ever tried!

We loved everything, the only (small) improvement suggestion is that I was staying there for my Birthday and it would be nice to get a small card/little gesture from the hotel for special occasions, but it’s a “nice to have” rather than anything critical. We will definitely come back and stay at the hotel again.

Good location, clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, air conditioning worked very well in the 38c heat. Room ready when arrived an hour before check in and was always cleaned before midday during our stay. Powerful shower and dressing gowns and slippers well utilised. Breakfast in a bright, airy room with good amount of choice.

We had shower with bath which for those of a shorter height was quite hard to step in and out of. Think there are rooms with shower only though. Bathroom a bit dated compared to the room and didn’t have much space for toiletries, although they do provide their own. Not hotels fault but supposed to wait to be seated/shown to table for breakfast and some guests just barged in and sat down then wondered why had to ask for hot drinks rather than their order be taken when shown to table.

The appartaments were clean and cozy. The staff was helpful. The breakfast at the hotel - meh. You can do better. Do not serve orvercooked bacon and sausages.

There is a specific mould smell. You can smell it throughout most of the Venice premises and even in boutique shops like Channel or Dior but I am certain that hotels with 4 star qnd above ratings should take extra care and remove the mould before their guests smell it. The bathroom door had a leak of water and the balcony outdoor furniture is too old and should be renewed.

The apartment had everything one would need. Firstly, the check in process was easy. They held onto our bags until the room was ready. The apartment was clean, spacious, fully equipped with everything one might expect in an apartment, and the views were phenomenal. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The location was perfection. Take a right and you were at the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. I would absolutely stay again!

The only issue was the apartment was a solid 10 minute walk to the actual hotel. So going for breakfast took some time but you get to walk by the Arno river the whole way so still not a big issue.

Great location for the apartment. Only a 10 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel transported me to the apartment upon check in and had transportation arranged for check out. Apartment was very comfortable, clean and close to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely come back again.

I liked everything. It is on the fifth floor, very small elevator and had to manage two keys to a main door and the apartment door, however felt secure and safe. All just part of the European experience, it was great.

High quality hotel with nice view, really good quality decor and spec of rooms. Excellent breakfast selection and quality of food. Few mins from ponte vechio, great location as nothing is more than 20 mins walk in any direction max. 20 mins walk from station so easily walkable.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Balestri which we mainly liked for the casual elegant style and most of all, the perfect location on the bank of river Arno - we booked river view rooms with balcony both times, which is well worth the price. We arrived super late after 1am but the checkin was still nice and smooth, and we were able to get an upgrade for a balcony room on our first morning. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, we particularly like the bathroom and the comfy offer of pilllows and the valet parking service is safe and quick.

Even though the breakfast is served in the nice cafe area of the hotel and the service is professional, the breakfast offer was way below our expectations (ie. quite mediocre coffee, bread and juice). It is only ok for a quick early bite maybe once during your stay but definitely far from a nice hotel breakfast experience. We would have also expected some options in the hotel minibar (it only has complimentary water)
