We loved the location. I didn't know Florence and we were looking for a place near my daughters university. For some reason this hotel caught my eye. My daughter said we would be near everything in walking distance to most attractions. I would say it was perfect! Our view of Basilica of Santa Croce and hearing the bells was beautiful. The hotel was very charming plus the breakfast room was beautiful. Our room was just the right size and decorated lovely.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING APARTMENT – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I couldn’t be happier with my stay at this apartment – everything was truly exceptional from start to finish. First of all, the interior design is stunning – modern, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail. It feels cozy yet elegant, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival, and it’s clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are a top priority here. Fresh towels, high-quality bedding, and a well-equipped kitchen made it feel like a home away from home. The location is perfect – close to everything: shops, cafes, restaurants, and public transport, yet still quiet and peaceful at night. And finally, the staff was fantastic – extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Communication was easy, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. They were always available to answer any questions or provide tips about the area. This apartment truly exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean, and perfectly located place to stay, this is the one! I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel is I in excellent location. Close to everything and easy to get around Florence from here. I would definitely choose the Santa Croce area again.

There is a bar on the street below the room we were booked into. We actually had 3 different rooms as part of our family reservation and every room was on the side of building with the bar. It was very loud at night, which also meant we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Since we were there prior to May 1, the AC was not turned on yet, so we got hot at night. Once the bar closed- the room was very quiet and we slept well. Also didn’t like all the keys we had to use to let ourselves into the room.

What a fantastic hotel, just off Santa Croce, beautifully designed and luxurious, modern rooms artfully furnished with great beds and amazing views, wonderful amenities like sparkling and flat bottled water replenished daily, dining room and lounge on each floor, an incredible breakfast buffet, and charming, helpful staff. The pictures online do not do it justice. A great base from which to explore all the marvels of Florence' historic center and hills across the Arno.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful. The only thing I missed was a shelf for personal items above the sink and a full length mirror. Also, be prepared at night with mosquito repellent if you like to open the windows and with earplugs (the quiet can be disturbed by carousers, larks, and morning trash trucks).

The location was close to all tourist attractions, but just far enough away so that it wasn't so crowded. The breakfast is amazing! Loved it! The housekeeping does an awesome job with the daily cleaning. It was so nice to come back to our room each day and find it spotless. The bed and pillows were very comfortable for a good nights rest. We also loved the decor in the hallways as well as the furniture in the bedrooms.

Our room was very nice as was the whole facility! We never heard any neighbor rooms. Everything was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We also had a nice time with their wine service in the courtyard after a day out. Great location as well!

There is a bar or something across the street that is open late but it wasn't that noticeable when you close the wooden shutters. We stayed for a period where they turned the heat on for the year and woke up with the room sweltering because the steam towel heater in the bathroom was on at full blast by default for the whole night. We turned it off and problem solved. Both minor issues/circumstances. I 100% recommend this place.

Beautiful comfortable room with an amazing view. Loved the location and the decor.

The breakfast

Very friendly welcome on arrival and offered refreshment while we were checking in. The room decor was lovely and stylish, as was the bathroom. Great breakfast with very friendly service from Annieta (I hope I spelt her name correctly).

The noise from a local bar on the street by the hotel. Their customers were outside making lots of noise until 2.30-3.00am on several nights. Obviously no fault of the Maison du Sage, but someone should get the bar owner to have consideration of the fact that it is a residential area.

Perfect location, very nice and comfortable apartment.

Too small room for breakfast. Sometimes we waited for the space for breakfast. Breakfast itself doesn't correspond to the level of the hotel.

The location was great, very central. There are great restaurants in the area away from the main attractions. The rooms are very neat and clean and the service overall is excellent from every staff member.

It is worth noting that there is a popular bar in the alleyway next to the hotel, so if you do get a room bordering the alley, there will be a bit of noise till late. Closed windows reduced the noise enough to be comfortable.
