Really nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. Good location being just a 5 min walk to Forio. The two female receptionists were very nice and welcoming. The spa is fantastic and was such a delight getting to use it on day of checkout

Only two point is we wish breakfast was offered later than 10am even til 10:30. And if checkout was 11am as we felt we couldn't lie in much if we wanted to make breakfast or check out day.

Royal Sunset Hotel was ideal for a week in Ischia. The room was comfortable, well decorated, spacious, and light. The balcony was great for drying clothes after a day at the beach or having a drink in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. The breakfast was excellent. It was lovely eating breakfast overlooking the sea every day. The bar was also really good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were welcoming and made the stay very pleasant. The spa was absolutely stunning. I didn't expect to spend a lot of time there but it was so nice that we kept going back.

The bathroom was a little bit dated compared to the rest of the room but this is only a minor criticism. It is still very nice and worked perfectly. It would also have been nice to have other things included in the room like a bath robe but again, a very minor critique.

We got our room upgraded to the sea view and it was amazing. Location was 12 minutes walking distance from Porto Forio. 5/7 minutes to the Forio centre and about 25 minutes to Poseidon by foot. Spa entry was free but unfortunately we had no time to visit even once. We stayed for 4 nights. Room was cleaned daily and towels were changed also.

Breakfast was great selection of pastries but no vegetables, just tomato. Only 2 types of cheese but no ricotta or mozzarella. From hot options only boiled eggs or scrambled and sausage. It is not completely dark in the room at night as light outside is very bright and night curtain still lets some light in at the sides.

The staff were amazing and so helpful. Extremely kind and helpful. They are an amazing team and we appreciate them for their hard work.

Although we booked this hotel as my Mum is disabled, it’s not fully accessible as per British standards. It would be great if there was a shower seat, and the bathroom was large enough to get a wheelchair in and turn. Also breakfast although was delicious, was slightly limited. There were no fruits or a water fountain for filling your water bottle. It’s so hot that this would be extremely helpful.

Very nice Hotel, close to the center of Forio (within walking distance). The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious (bit too sweet). The best part of the hotel is besides its seaview (sunset view is amazing), the SPA area. You got a sauna, a steam bath, 2 pools, 2 hot & cold tubes & a relaxing lounge. Outdoor you also go a hot tube, but no pool. I would recommend this hotel especially in winter, autumn and spring. FYI: I got a free upgrade for the first night (seaview + balcony), but that doesn't affect my opinion.

Royal Sunset Hotel was a great place to stay! Their health retreat area was amazing offering relaxing pools and saunas under the hotel. The location was perfect for getting to and from the ferry and around the island. The hotel assisted with a scooter hire which we used to get around the island. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, served in their restaurant overlooking the ocean!

The hotel restaurant was limited in the opening hours for food. Outside of these hours we were unable to have a substantial meal at the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa is lovely. There are enough pools that it never felt busy. Tea in the spa was a nice touch. Everything was clean and beautiful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Perfect distance from Forio! I loved it so much that I extended my stay. The ocean view is very nice and lovely to look at in the evening and with breakfast.

It would be nice if the pool hours went later into the evening but they are still great as they are.

Lovely views, easy location, great spa area.

We had only one thing blanket and two pillows for two people to use (we had separate beds) so one was cold. We asked for extra towels one day because we showered twice an my towels were still wet - they charged us €8 for “trowel rental”!!!! That is the worse I’ve seen

The hotel spa was amazing, I didn’t think it would be that good and it isn’t pictured in full in the gallery but it was the best spa I have ever been to! The bar at sunset is a must, the waiter always brought us nibbles with our drinks and the view is incredible. Just a short 5 min walk into town. Lovely beach 25 min walk away.

Reception staff were always friendly and answered any questions we had, however, it would be nice if the hotel gave us information about the island and what to do as a given when people arrive. Spa shut at 8pm but with sunset at 7, you then don’t have long in the spa in the evening so would be nice if it stayed open just an extra 30 min or hour.

The hotel has an amazing SPA, and the service of all the staffs are amazing. The front desk provided us lots of tips for exploring the island. They went out of their way to make sure we got transportation from the hotel to the port for the ferry. A very special thanks to Alessandra, who made all the calls to arrange our ferry back to Naples.

Just a suggestion for being a four star hotel. Breakfast varieties were very limited, we were there for four days and the food were the same.
