This property has everything you need in this gorgeous little town on Lake Lugano with a public swimming pool and pontoon directly opposite. On the ferry route from Lugano two days per week. The host and hostess are charming and breakfast is taken on the terrace with the birds and flowers. The room is comfortable with air conditioning. There is a good bus service from Spezia or Lugano and you can walk to Villa Fogazzaro in about 25 mins. Very scenic along the lakefront

There is only a bakery and not much choice for restaurants apart from a few.

The continental breakfast al fresco started us up perfectly for our ongoing journey. San mamete is a lovely small village we know well with a close knit local community. It was the ideal spot for our overnight stay. We timed our trip perfectly as there was an orchestral concert in the piazza, beautiful music with a great atmosphere.Lovely family run B & B, we were made to feel welcome & are already planning a return visit. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in Lago Lake . The lake is across the street. The hotel offers free parking. In the back of the hotel, there is an alley with a local bar. The hotel serves typical Italian breakfast.

Breakfast served can be improved by providing more variety and not counting the exact number of cheese and ham pieces.

Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Bed is comfy. Breakfast is simple but fresh and good. Parking on site is a plus. Restaurant on site is convenient.

We missed hand towels besides the big towels in the room. Location is good, but you definitely need a car, since you cannot walk to the neighboring towns in the afternoon or evening following the main road, too dangerous, at least with a small child like in our case.

We loved it at caffe del viaggiatore. The location is excellent with the lake access right across the street. It is a lovely community beach with enough shade and even a small pool for kids, all free of charge. The mountains around the village and the Lugano lake are absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant in the hotel serves nice breakfast and dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms were cool enough during hot summer days and had a/c. Everything in the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Last but not least the staff was just great. Very pleasant and communicative owners that do everything at their disposal to make you feel welcome. It was supposed to be just a stopover on our trip to south France, but was really a highlight of our trip. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Me and my daughter had a lovely stay. The staff really cared about us and making sure we had everything we needed. The village is very small but it was full of very kind people. You can get to it by bus from Lugano station and it takes about 15 minutes. Try to avoid the high priced taxies. They served a nice breakfast and had dinner at night. Ask, because they had a few home made items that were really yummy. This is a family run place so very special. Relax into it. Swim in lake and enjoy the sweet simple life :)

Exceptionally warm welcome and service, the owner and the staff were all about making our stay better, The location is just astounding. Breakfast and dinner was perfect. Less than two minutes of walk away there is a public beach. An evening swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Lugano with the majestic mountains in the background is en par or better then most of the adriatic beach experiences one can get. We stayed here for two nights but could easily spend a week here exploring the region and relaxing at Caffè del Viaggiatore.

We loved this place. It is ideally for calm stay. Our room with lake view on the 2 floor was big and spacious. Bathroom with the window and balcony). The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple, but included in the price of the room. You don't have to go anywhere in the evening, you can take a diner right here. There is a restaurant downstairs. The lake with pontoon-bridge is just 3 min from the hotel. So you can swim. There is a on -site parking space. Highly recommended!

Great view, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed, excellent Italian breakfast, Mr. & Mrs. were so hospital and polite. Great lake view at the balcony. There is a parking space just in front of the hotel. You can run, walk or ride your bike on nearest paths or on the road. This is the only place if I’ll be there again.

Minibar is missing.

Great location for this b and b and it came with parking. Breakfast included and we took our main meal here too, a really authentic home cooked style, the menu changed each day. Good size family room with A/C.

Nothing that I can say negative about our stay. August is a busy month for holiday makers descending on the Italian lakes. Bear in mind that parking is regularly an issue and the roads are tight in villages. Luckily parking was not an issue here.
