We loved our stay at the Locanda! The location is ideal if you want to enjoy the magic of Castagnola. Lugano's lively centre is about a 30-minute walk away, so the hotel is located in a much quieter part of the city, with charming streets and fantastic views. There is also a public transport stop right next to the hotel. The beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and tidy. Hotel staff is the best! We felt really welcomed. They also helped us with recommendations on what to see and what not to miss. Check-in process and all other communucation with them was super easy. A wonderful experience! We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

One of the best experiences - great contact with hotel manager to handle our late checkin, very comfy room, bath. Breakfast was OK. And the main point for latvians visiting this place - just 50 meters further is Rainis and Aspazija memorial room and monument. A crucial point in our history to visit!

Nothing really - maybe breakfast could have had some greens as selection as well some bacon or sausages would be nice.

Carolina on reception was fabulous. Sorted out free bus passes we didn’t know we were getting and even lent us a travel plug as our European one doesnt work in Switzerland. The tall smiley chap in the bar, sorry didn’t get his name was also fab pointing out some walks we shouldn’t miss. The staff are a credit to this hotel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

The hotel was clean, served a decent breakfast, and the location was absolutely amazing and the views were brilliant. Not far from the center just a 30-45mins walk and bus stop is also nearby. Best Value hotel.

For me everything was good nothing to complain about.

The room was big, light, sunny, silent and with a great view - great option! It was very nice to wake up there, also has an additional table to work at. We really enjoyed the room a lot.

There are not maybe that many food options for breakfast, especially if you cannot eat milk. But the croissants were really great! We enjoyed it anyway.

Friendly staff on arrival, very helpful when checking in and during breakfast. We had free travel passes for the full duration of stay. The hotel is in a beautiful area with stunning views of Lugano. Bus stop 1 minute walk away. Breakfast is limited choice but very nice.

The staff are very friendly. They were going above and beyond to make sure everything is comfortable. We got a very large room with a view of the lake.

Courteous and friendly reception and dining staff. Helpful. Reasonably good breakfast except they could be a little generous with the quantity presented.

Convenient location with quick frequent 5 min bus into town centre. Close to Mt. Bre for funicular railway to top and walks. Very friendly helpful staff.

Rooms slightly on the small size, especially if you've got much luggage. Breakfast rather limited.

Hotel situated a walking distance to the centre. Staff at the hotel are very welcoming and provide you with information about Lugano. Room was very clean. Breakfast was great.

There was no lift , although the staff took our luggages upstairs.
