The hotel was lovely with original features. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking! We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was amazing. Smaller selection for breakfast as expected because it's a small hotel, however the breakfast was very good and typically Italian and had homemade items as well. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again because of the experience we had here!

As the hotel is traditional with original features in the room there isn't any sound proofing, so depending on other hotel guests it could be quite noisy hearing them going upstairs. Also the church bells toll before 8am each morning - not a problem but something to be aware of!

Exceptional view of Lake Como from the restaurant and a beautiful home and area. We loved walking around Brunate and enjoying all of the views. The room itself was stunning and unique with a very romantic ambiance. The restaurant was excellent, as well.

If you have a larger car or aren't used to driving narrow Italian roads, the drive up to Brunate may be a bit intimidating. If parking in the lot, definitely drive past the hotel, do a three point turn and approach the entry from the other direction. People may be milling about in the street as the funicular entrance is right by the hotel.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in March 2024. It was a splendid stay! The views over the Lake from the breakfast and dining room table was amazing. The hotel is located at the top of the funicular, just a few minutes walk from the station and there are several food places nearby. The breakfast was really nice with bread, yogurt, cheese, fruit and eggs plus orange juice, water and a choice of hot beverage. The decoration of the hotel interior displays some eye-catching antiques, the rooms were clean had an old-fashioned vibe and there is an incredible spa room with a jacuzzi, sauna and breathtaking view overview of the Lake on the top floor which can be hired out - if you are a couple visiting, I would highly suggest doing this option during your stay. The hotel and its family staff, were very accommodating and courteous to us throughout. On check out, which was very early in the morning, they left us out a breakfast to takeaway for our journey home. We would recommend a stay here, particularly for couples, for a future trip to Como

Had some trouble with the code for night time entry to the hotel, but thankfully staff were on hand to let us back into the hotel after hours.

To get there, you need to accept the fact, that roads are really narrow, like a lot, especially if Waze or Google takes you through Civiglo. If you have a bigger car, beware, but Civiglo road was really tough. Use the road from Como, highly recommended. Breakfast could be better (bigger selection in general) Restaurant is nice, although menu is a bit limited and the staff was friendly, but chaotic, considering how many tables they are operating

Have stayed here a few years ago and loved the location overlooking beautiful Lake Como to the mountains - gorgeous. I was travelling with my daughter - Rafaella, Renato and all the staff looked after us very well. We loved the restaurant and enjoying a drink out on the Terrace. Thank you

Very unique interior with a lot (a lot!) attention to details. Beautiful dinner/breakfast view with breathtaking sunset. Lake view from the room. Big room.

Logistics is not so convenient if u didn’t book a hotel out of the city hotel purpose. Roads are narrow and it takes some time to get to Como if there are more cars on the street. It is too bad that hotel charges the parking even though it is not a big city place and they have their own yard.

The views are amazing! The funicular was not working during our visit, so the area was very quiet, which I enjoyed. We were provided with a nice variety for breakfast. The rooms are nice, in keeping with the decor, although quite small. It was warm and cosy. The staff were very friendly. The price was relatively good but we did visit in off-season.

The pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable. As the funicular was not working, we did have to drive up and down the mountain each day.

Amazing location, very cute room with a comfy mattress. The restaurant food was really tasty, you should definitely eat there at least once ! The property itself is really well kept and worth the price. The breakfast was very good too. We got coffee, croissants, bread, boiled egg, ham and cheese, cereal, fruit, and fruit juice. Very reasonable check-in/check-out times The staff were helpful when we asked for information about what to do in the area and speak English fluently.

The Spa is quite expensive (40 euros for 1h30) but well worth it for the experience and the views.

Amazing view and friendly staff. The room is super cute in old style. The house is charming and we had a lovely experience. Parking was easy by pre-booking the spot with the hotel. Breakfast was delicious! We had dinner one night in the hotel’s restaurant and it was amazing, both flavor and view. The mattress in our bed was a bit worn out and could be more comfortable.

The position away from the rowdy bustle of Como. The room was spacious. The staff were great and the dinner menu very good

Could have done with a fridge in the room. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been nice. The Funicular to get to the property could be extremely busy and time consuming at times.
