Casa Diva was a dreamy place to stay, with the Artist suite topping everything up with the incredible view. Eleonora was great, very welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast in the breakfast room which feels like a palazzo. The rooftop terrace is a great place to have a late night drink, as it is in fact a lovely garden, with charming statues and lights.

Nothing. :) Maybe worth mentioning that while the rooftop apartment does have access to an elevator, if your mobility is reduced you will have a harder time staying in it as there are some steps to bed/bathroom/fridge that you need go up and down on.

Breakfast was delicious, I appreciated that they took into account my allergies, so nothing allergenic was served to us. Eleonora, the receptionist, was very kind and helpful. The first impact when you enter into the reception is amazing, the architecture , the high ceiling, the living room with the fire place, everything looks really well designed & renovated. Balcony was a big plus and is very private as only the ones who book the Amore room will be able to access it.

The room is a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures and the light was almost non existing in the bedroom due to the tiny window, but I would guess the room size is due to the original layout of the place as it dates back from 17th century and as per my understanding the owner tried to keep it closer to the original blueprint.

The accommodation is located in the old part of the city in the Sasi region with a beautiful view of the city and the caves. The staff is very friendly. The room is nicely furnished (ours was in two floors (bed in upper floor) with a small terrace overlooking the city); thanks for the upgrade, Eleonora. Everything clean and nicely arranged. There is a tea kettle and a fridge in the room. The bathroom is equipped with all the accessories you need for care. Breakfast is varied with an offer of sweet and savory dishes, fruit and cereals. The nearest parking garage is a 2-minute walk from the accommodation.

Oh my goodness, the view, location, and bathtub. I absolutely loved this place. It was difficult to sleep because I wanted to keep my eyes open to take in the view. This place has hidden castle vibes with secret doors behind a painting leading to the theater room. It was just awesome. The location was also perfect for a quiet night with the main city a few sets away and parking a few minutes from the door.

You must close the shades in the day time because the sun comes right in and the AC can’t save you but the view is worth the sweat and they have a cool common lounge.

Beautiful Cave suite. Although -1 level, there are also still doors opening to the patio and sufficient day light. Good atmosphere, everything you need and wish for. The entire house is decorated beautifully and has pleasant roof terrace and comfortable shared spaces. Location right In the middle of the two Sassa’s. Eleonora made our self check-in very easy since it was a bit later, but is always available and on site every day. She is very kind and helpful.

If anything, the beds and pillows are a bit hard to my liking.

The roof suite is amazing, you won't get enough of the view. The bed and bath tub are in an elevated position, so you can see all of the Sasso Caveoso from bed or while taking a bath.

If you are over, say, 1.70m, you won't be able to stand up in the bath tub. Having said that, if you instead use the bath tub to take a bath, you can enjoy an incredible view.

Amazing view of the sassi from casa lounge balcony, room amenities (slippers, high end shampoo, hand soap and shower gel, firm bed, white and fluffy towels and linens, artfully designed wall frescoes, and most of all Eleonora - friendly, provided clear communication with loads of information. Lots of books to browse, elegant common rooms, quiet and peaceful, walkable to every point of interest.

We love to travel lots of places…. This stunning hotel is one of the most special places we have had the pleasure of staying in. We had the top suite and the kids had one of the cave rooms. The suite was out of this world with a spectacular view. Our host was super helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Location is perfect and close to public parking !

This was my fairytale moment ,realizing i was actually in an old palazzo,with murano chandelier and authentic furniture!An amazing moment,staying in our grotta .The stuff was so kind,the breakfast was yummy.The location of the Casa Diva was also perfect in the middle of the old and new part of Matera. PICK THIS PLACE you will remeber it forever

Beautifully situated in Matera's Centro storico and very comfortable. Excellent information about how to access the property and where to park; a very warm welcome and very good breakfast. Caterina who looked after us on our second morning was brilliant. Would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Matera.
