The location is fantastic, in the center of Sassi. The room was smaller but confortable, with interesting stone details on the wall and bathroom ceiling. The breakfast was big including pizza, cornetto, fruit and small juice, there was a simple coffee machine in the room. I prefer cappuccino for breakfast (with milk) which I could buy from a vending machine across the street. I was interested in guided tour (in italian) and Lino connected me with an excelent guide (Angela). Grazie per il belissimmo soggiorno. La città è meravigliosa.

The shower was not well cleaned.

The location is great in the stassi - the fact that the taxi can pull up to the property is a bonus even though you have to climb a small flight of steps. The host was waiting for us at check in and even though she could not speak English, she very patiently let us have a choice of rooms and told us all the relevant information. She helped us book a taxi to and from the property. She made calls to help us find a guide and was very kind. We had lunch at the busy restaurant right next door which was great. We walked all around the area - its great place to explore Matera from.

We chose our room as it was spacious but the bathroom was really tiny and we could barely move in the shower which was very minor as we were only there for a night. Breakfast was dropped off in a paper bag before our early check out and was disappointing.

The location was perfect—right in the centre and just 300 metres from the bus station. The room was in a beautiful old traditional building (which is exactly why we booked it), but inside it was fully renovated while keeping its original charm. It was spotlessly clean—I could say “super” a hundred times and still not do it justice! Breakfast was served directly in the room, which was a lovely touch. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The property location was perfect, so close to everything, but particularly close to the things we were most interested in visiting while in Matera. The hosts were super friendly, and so helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out which we really appreciated. The breakfast was amazing, the best that we had that had been provided by a property during our travels in Italy. There was so much variety, and everything was delicious. We would recommend to all

the hosts were wonderful and very helpful. Our espresso machine broke the first day and they brought us a new one by the afternoon. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. the location was perfect and close to the main piazza. the space was large and comfortable.

We didn't care that the bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom, but we knew this before we booked our stay. If anyone has problems with stairs, not a good idea to stay here. the bed and pillows could have been a little more comfortable, but we were not there to sleep all day! Overall we really liked everything!

It’s in the heart of the Sassi, so you have the history around you. The rooms keep the essence of a cavern with touches of modernity. The rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is sent to your room in bags and have it in the balcony, making the experience even more enjoyable. Lino is a great host.

In my room the shower didn’t have a door, I would prefer to have a door in the shower to avoid wetting the bathroom floor.

The room was right down in the heart of the amazing Sassi area. The Host was helpful and waiting for us at the time we said we would arrive so she could personally show us around. Clean room, comfortable bed and incredible location. Breakfast of pastries, juice, yogurt was waiting outside the door.

Great location in the heart of Matera’s Sassi, just steps from restaurants and attractions. The room kept its historic charm while offering modern comforts, and breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit was a lovely touch. The hosts were warm and very helpful.

A little extra attention to cleanliness would make the stay perfect.

We were greeted by the owner's daughter who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived, our room had been changed / upgraded by the property since we were going to stay three nights in a row. At first, we were surprised by this change since we had booked another room with a terrace but we liked the new room which still had a different terrace and was bigger in size. - The free breakfast included in the price that you can get from a nearby cafe was perfect for a hot summer vacation (coffee & delicious pastry). - The kitchen in our new room was great and had everything in case you wanted to cook. The espresso maker was also great. - The location is perfect, walking location to all the sightseeing attractions and literally just below one of the most important spots. There are many great restaurants and bars around as well. - They also helped us with arranging shuttle from the airport and taxi to the train station. Overall, we had a great time in Matera and Sassolina Dimora Storica enhanced our experience.

Location near centre square. Close to restaurants. Private. Outdoor patio for our use to sit and relax with wine. Spacious bedroom. Full bathroom. Breakfast delivered every morning. Shuttle service to car park was easy and inexpensive.

I liked everything. Patrizia and Lino were gracious, supportive and SO welcoming. I highly recommend this property.
