Fabulous location, you couldn’t ask for better from this excellent value for money hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating too. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while there and were given a bottle of Prosecco, a sweet touch! The hotel is spotless with modern amenities in a traditional building. Continental buffet breakfast was available each morning, enough to set you up till lunch in one of the many local eateries. The pool is lovely too, a great touch for a 3 star hotel. Our room was perfect for our stay with a lovely balcony and the most amazing view, with all the amenities you’d expect. It was serviced daily by extremely efficient and cheerful ladies. This is an exceptional 3 star hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The only small thing I could say, and it didn’t impact the enjoyment of our stay at all, was that soundproofing could be a little better!

We had a great stay at this hotel! The reception were very helpful with all our questions. We had a huge room and a very comfy bed, and you can get a 10% discount at restaurant if you dine there. The pool area was lovely - the sun went behind the building about 4pm when we were there so we went in the morning / early afternoon. The hotel is also very close to the main piazza, the C10 bus back to Como and the ferry port so it was very easy for us to visit other towns.

Our only comments are that the bathroom could be updated to be more modern, and this hotel was the only one we stayed in Italy that didn’t have a proper coffee machine!

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Menaggio. Given the typical prices around Lake Como, this place was excellent value. The highlight was definitely the balcony overlooking the lake, such a treat to enjoy tea/coffee in the morning and relax in the evening with that stunning view. The hotel staff were all lovely and very helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. While a few aspects of the property felt a bit outdated, that's quite common for a European 3-star and didn’t detract from the overall experience. The pool was a great bonus, perfect for cooling off after a day exploring the charming streets of Menaggio and nearby towns.

The location was just great and the view from the room stunning. Most of the staff very sweet. Breakfast was very nice.

We had dinner at the restaurant the first evening and would never recommend anyone to do so. The wine was good and staff was nice but never in my life have I had worse gnocchi, the first portion was frozen in the middle and the second just didn’t look o taste like gnocchi at all. Sirlion steak was ok. At the next table there where people from England and the man there described the food they got as “absolutely disgusting “ So with our experience and hearing that I could not recommend this at all. Sorry.

Best location, beautiful view over the lake from the room, a good sized balcony, parking garage was a huge plus! The variety and location of breakfast was very nice too. If you stay here you dont have to go to the overpriced “lake view” places because you have just as good view here from your room.

Cleaning could be improved. The room is not soundproof, you can hear other guests talking, slamming doors etc, bring earplugs is you are a light sleeper. The tv is a bit outdated but it was not an issue for us as we did not use it.

We had a warm welcome when we arrived. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and we never felt rushed. The location is amazing, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains beyond. A lovely choice of foods at breakfast and the opportunity for early or late times. This is a medium sized hotel but had retained it's traditional feel while offering excellent facilities.

With the age of the property, not a surprise that the floorboards in our room were quite squeaky. We were above the restaurant, so this did not disturb others. We didn't hear noise from other rooms, so were not disturbed by others moving around.

Absolutely adored the staff! And the location was perfect right on the lake, which is what I wanted and for the price it was incredibly reasonable! Would recommend this place to absolutely anyone who wants to be treated as though they are important and have a chance to listen to the waves slap against the shore. Absolutely beautiful experience and will be returning!

There really wasn't anything I disliked. The only thing I noticed was that the bed was a little hard which is a personal preference and not a knock against the hotel.

That we has decided only stayed 2 days - we did not regret that decision at all.

Overpriced an average hotel, but the entire area is already significantly overpriced. All food is overpriced and just average. A major factor was also the cloudy weather during all three days of our stay, which meant we missed the opportunity to enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding mountains – one of the main tourist reasons for visiting the Lake Como area. Please note that the first and last ferries to/from Menaggio are between 6:35 and 19:45.

Oh my God, the view from the balcony ... It was amazing!!! Central location, close to everything next to the lake. All the hotel was ok, probably in high-season is more busy in and out, but in October it was very calm. Everything was clean, comfortable - coffee, tea, water in the rom. Breakfast has everything what you need. There is a really good and cheap pizzeria nearby. If one day we come back, definitely will choose it again.

The noise from upstairs. Cannot figure out how heating works, but in the end we didn"t need it.

Superb hotel right on Lake Como in Menaggio! Everything about our stay here from customer service to the rooms and the views have been excellent. The staff are so helpful and accomodating. Our room had the most spectacular large balcony overlooking Lake Como and the rooms are spotlessly clean and well-equipped with modern amenities. Restaurant del Porto feels like a fine dining restaurant at dinner time without the inflated prices and at breakfast time, it’s relaxed and well catered.
