Room amazing, view to die for , staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast was great with a lovely view, and great selection. Unbelievable location, concierge was lovely a truly great and wonderful experience ! I am dying to get back out there !With the sun shining and morning view with a beautiful heated pool to swim in with the splendour of lake Como at your fingertips.

Very little not to like ! Maybe some cream cheese next to the salmon would have been nice, but not an issue at all, as they did cook us food fresh, and maybe a better tv in room with working channels, but to be honest with a view like that it seems a little unimportant as we had the best view Como has to offer.

Location is outstanding. View and proximity to transportation was the best for both Bus & Ferry. Interior decoration was outstanding; beautiful and maintained the essence of the era it was built in even though a few items were quite shabby and iccasionally some figurines and statuettes were oddly modern. Staff was excellent everywhere especially Restaurant except for only one blonde lady at the reception (she repeatedly gave us wrong Info Re# transportation schedule!) Quality of food was great. Sleep quality was very good with the exception of the AC which could not be properly set up (either too cold or too warm). Mattress and pillow quality was excellent and inducive to relaxation and comfort. Despite the excellence of the food quality, the Chef probably needs to be less innovative! When one orders a Tiramisu -for example- one expects a particular dessert, not quite a modified looking and tasting alternative even though it might taste good but still not what you expected.

As noted above, the carpeting of the rooms was disappointing in that It was clearly shabby rather worn out and occasionally spotty! The bathroom was very tight in space to the point of great discomfort. Some of its fixtures such as air-fan were dysfunctional and useless and couldn't be repaired. Dame applied to the Safe. Water Taps were also apparently outdated unlike the shower and waterflushing sysyem that were in very good condition! I'd say the Bathroom followed by carpeting were clearly behind the rest of the facility's excellence.

This was quite the spot! While it is a little bit pricey given the room decor – you are in Lake Como and the views were worth it. I arrived at midnight so there were minimal staff around, so had to wait a bit after travelling 8 hours via train to check in - I picked this spot specifically because it was close to the ferry port which was so great, and an easy 4 min walk into Menaggio town was great. After spending the last 5 days hiking in the dolomites an easy stress free stay was what I was after. As a solo traveller it was a great place and felt safe. I booked a lake view room so it was everything I could of asked for, for the classic Lake Como view.

Rooms are a little dates but I overheard they are actually about to close for renovations to update which is good to hear. Being told to not sit at a 6 person table at breakfast when there were 30 other tables free would also have been nice. One waiter did say this, and the audacity I was shocked. But that's Italy for you. Other than that my stay here was perfect.

The view is spectacular. The staff very efficient and helpful. Our room on the third floor had a wonderful view, and it was great to be able to fully open the large window, which was bigger than expected, so it gave the room an open feeling. The included breakfast was amazing, and our other meals at the hotel were good as well. The hotel is well kept. The location was great with ferry or bus access and easy walking distance to town.

It would be nice if the pool area had a hot tub for the cooler months. We wanted to leave our servers in the restaurant a tip, but could never figure out how to do that. It was a bit confusing on how to order a simple salad or lighter fare in the evening when we didn’t want a big meal, and some of the complimentary appetitizers were a bit exotic for our taste.

The location is perfect, right on the lake. We paid extra for a balcony (+50 euros per night) but glad we did Being next to the ferry terminal wasn't an issue. It finishes early in the evening and we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of lake life The hotel is not "faded" in any way. Yes it's a grand old hotel, but it's in good decorative order Breakfast on the terrace is a delight, as is pre-dinner drinks in the lounge with amazing view The pool area is tasteful and attractive It's a relaxed hotel, not fussy, and you feel welcome

The light in the bathroom was barely adequate The price, at 500 euros per night, is high. Although it was a great stay, it doesn't feel like a 500 per night hotel.

Everything about this property was amazing. Exceptionally friendly front desk and bell staff, view, the room, the pool (that is heated, by the way!). Breakfast area looks like a 5 star restaurant. Ferry station to Bellagio is right next to the property (note - this is not a car ferry, it only takes people). Car ferry is about 10-15 min drive. The area is very quiet and relaxing. Will go back in a heartbeat!

There was a pretty big party happening somewhere next door, and it was impossible to sleep with the open window. The AC in a room did not function, for some reasons, so make sure you check on this while checking in.

Location. View. Menaggio is quieter than Varenna and Belaggio which we liked.

Dinner in restaurant was disappointing for the price. Staff both on reception and in dining room could have been friendlier. A smile goes a long way!!

The location of the the hotel was great, it's right next to the Menaggio ferry terminal which is very convenient. It is also an easy walk to restaurants and the main square. The common spaces in the hotel were truly beautiful- the lobby, dining room, and the outside patio overlooking the lake. The pool was heated and we had the opportunity to swim.

The rooms are small and the rooms facing the lake are even smaller(somewhat claustrophobic), the beds are hard as a rock and very uncomfortable! The front desk kindly arranged to have a mattress topper added that was a little improvement. If you are facing the street, it can be very noisy - day or night. The bathroom lighting was very dim, one could hardly shave or put on makeup. The hair dryer was tucked in a tight corner of the bathroom that made using it awkward and difficult. There was a leak from the shower, which we reported to the front desk. Breakfast was fine, but not fantastic as some other 4* hotels have offered

The location overlooking the lake was ideal and the hotel was full of old world charm. Rooms were clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. When swimming, the staff even came to the poolside to replace our towels with dry ones.

The breakfasts were not great. On one day the fruit salad was just sliced apple. Gluten free bread was freely available, but asking for it to be served with the scrambled egg resulted in an extra large of 16 euros (for a week). We were now warned about the charge and it came as a shock when we checked out (along with a 10 euro charge which I think was for tea). I know it's small change in the grand scheme of things, but it tainted an otherwise great experience. I should have challenged it but we were running late for the ferry.

Excellent location, conveniently next to the ferry pier. frequent ferries to Bellagio. Beautiful hotel, amazing pool and lobby. Lovely breakfast! Free parking on property. Menaggio is a lovely town.

I recommend upgrading to a Lakeview room. the standard room is a little bland, but the facilities is so lovely I don’t think you will be spending much time in the room.
