I had a private room and bath. The downhill walk without luggage is good and a short distance to the ferry. The restaurant below near the main road is quite good and convenient with a great view of the lake.

I arrived by bus from Como. The uphill walk at night with about 150 steps with luggage is quite far up a path, then on a road. The path has has a sign to get you started but mid way with 2 turns you can lose your way. poor signage is frustrating

Very friendly staff. The check-in was in Lake Como Hostel where they explained the fastest route to get up to the Peace Lodge. We got cupons for free drinks in the hostel below and I highly suggest to use them cause restaurant has very good, cheap food (pizza, pasta, burgers, tiramisu etc.) and amazing cocktails - try Baileys Martini. Also everyone who was staying seemed really friendly. The place has nice views over the lake and buildings nearby. It's also close to Menaggio center and local bus stop (take C10 to Como) and ferry. There are a lot of booklets about local hiking routes and I think you can even rent a bike there. It is very peaceful - quiet and nice to stay.

The place is a bit uphill so you will have to walk a bit (~5min) stairs. Otherwise you can drive with car. For breakfast there was cereal and croissant, not much but enough.

The room was perfect for what we needed!The staff were extremely lovely and accommodating. Could see the a small part of the lake from our room which was nice!

Was a bit of a walk up the hill which was a challenge with suitcases and the room was a bit tight but otherwise the hostel itself was good.

The place is value for money. You do have to remember this is a small hostel business. The rooms are basic but spacious and clean. The shared bathroom is clean although not very comfortable to use due to the showering space. You are provided with clean towels and sheets which after your stay you need to return yourselves. The bed is really comfortable and the view from the room window is majestic looking over Lake Como in Menaggio. The included breakfast is homely and fulfilling. Great wifi speed. All in all very good value for money and location. Great hosts as well.

The location was an issue. Since it's located high up in the mountain, although it makes for a great view, you do have to hike up by foot through a narrow steep dark road which is unlit at night and could pose a problem. Otherwise, the only way to the lodge is via car. The pictures on the website could be a bit misleading since the rooms are now a bit old and don't look all that shiny as on the website. The room walls are very thin and one can hear what's going on in the next room through the walls and it could get difficult to rest at night if your neighbors are loud.

I was a little unsure of what to expect due to mixed reviews, but I cannot rate this place enough. Excellent, value for money, perfect views, great room and facilities, and amazing helpful staff.

The mattress was soft and not very comfortable, but ok for a short stay. Once again, for this price I won't complain 😉😃

Breakfast was late ~30 minutes one morning because staff overslept... Shared bathroom needs some maintenance.

Little bit walk but when you see reach the hotel you will not feel bad… just when you reach Menaggio please call the hotel reception for the short cut route…

This hostel has completely exceeded our expectations. It consists of two buildings separated by a few minutes walk by stairs across the hill: we slept in the upper building located in a really cozy surrounding and there is a bar and restaurant in the lower one. The atmosphere was unique, so friendly and it was really quiet in the night. Our room was very comfortable despite the shared bathroom (it was shared with only one another room and very clean). We got the breakfast in the morning which we didn't expect at all! Last but not least, the crew is awesome - Madossein welcomed us with his heart on his hand, he is a truly beautiful soul and this energy can be felt in the whole hostel. We definitely recommend staying here for a night or more :)

It might be quite hard to get to the upper building unless you know the secret shortcut of stairs between the other buildings :)

Very nice, helpful and friendly administration. Spacious and clean room with a big window and nice view. Good heating, fresh towels, extra blankets in case it is cold at night. Cozy garden with terrace and tables. Great location not very close to the main road, so very quiet at night. Access to the dishes and kettle even in the late evening.

Toilets need a bit more privacy (regular doors)
