Value for your money. Close to the train station.

The are is quite noisy if your room is facing the street. We also saw gangs or groups of young men harassing tourists out on the walkway. You will want to avoid going out alone in this area. We saw fighting on the street and the day before we witness a young female tourist being approached and harassed by a group of 5-6 immigrants. We made sure that the girl got out of that situation and then asked the hotel to call the police.

Good location, just across the street from the main train station and also a bus stop. Very friendly staff. Was able to buy a Venezia one-day or two-day ticket. Don't need to pay for Venezia Pass for the weekend since the hotel is listed as a hotel within Venezia. The room and the bathroom was kind of spacious.

A bit noisy at night since the hotel is on the corner of the streets on the public bus routes. A bit long hallway covered with carpet to carry a suitcase to the elevator. The two elevators were quite small compared to the number of hotel rooms on each floor. Very close to the Mestre train station and a public bus stop, but must take a bus or train to get to Venezia; it takes some time; the bus from or to Venezia was always crowded.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Best Western Bologna, and we are so grateful to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable! The staff here is absolutely amazing – we’ve stayed in many hotels, from 3 to 5 stars, but we were deeply impressed by the kindness, generosity, and professionalism of everyone, from the reception to the restaurant, housekeeping, and management. A special thank you to Jessica at the reception – we love her, she is such a sweetheart! She even went the extra mile to greet us in Romanian, which made us feel right at home. Marco, the hotel manager, together with his entire team, truly sets a high standard for hospitality. We received an early check-in, and our son’s room was beautifully decorated with balloons and sweets for his birthday. At dinner in the hotel restaurant, they surprised him with a delicious birthday cake – such a thoughtful gesture that made the celebration unforgettable. What stands out most is that if you kindly ask for support or have a special request, the staff will stop at nothing to meet your needs. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel so welcome. The hotel itself was spotless, with rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was very good, with everything we needed to start the day. The location is also excellent – right in front of the train and bus stations. It takes only about 12 minutes by bus to reach the vaporettos in Venice, and we also easily visited Verona (1 hour by train) and the famous Gardaland Park (about 1h 15 min to Peschiera del Garda). We will always cherish this experience and wholeheartedly recommend Best Western Bologna to anyone visiting the area. Grazie di tutto!

We stayed here as an alternative to staying in Venice itself. The hotel is very conveniently situated directly adjacent to the train station, making it a breeze to get there as well as travel into Venice for the day. Staff were very accommodating at check in and got my room ready early. Breakfast was pretty good but also very popular and crowded. The bathroom was quite large.

While it is convenient to stay near the train station the neighborhood is rather touristy. There are a few touristy restaurants nearby but if you walk a bit you will find pizza restaurants and a few other places. The room was economical but average with a very small desk and plastic chair for working.

Staff was highly professional, friendly, helpful and responsive to our requests, including booking a safe, early morning taxi transfer to VCE. Venice access couldn't have been easier: hotel is across the street from Stazione Mestre and the public bus line, so you can take a 10 minute train into Venezia: Santa Lucia station (or bus, if you prefer) and take a vaporetto into town. One-way train fare cost: €1.50. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, quiet, and spotless, with daily housekeeping.

Everything was great! Be aware: the Mestre area near the hotel is somewhat depressed with some sketchy characters, and the hotel staff warned us not to venture out of the hotel at night: standard issue for an urban setting.

The staff at this hotel were lovely and so friendly! We enjoyed staying out of the hub of Venice itself, and it was very convenient with the train station being across the road. The room was lovely, modern, and very spacious. We were able to do a late checkout for a fee, which helped us immensely because we had an evening flight.

The options at breakfast were a little limited, but breakfast was still fantastic. The aircon in our room wasn't the best - the room never fully cooled to a comfortable temperature, but there was a heatwave during our stay.

1) The area around the hotel at night not feels the safest. I guess it because its near the train station. but from the other hand, there is lot of tourist around. so its ok. 2) I have been in multiple hotels in Italy, this is the first time in the checkout I was asked if I would like to put tip to the hotel staff. I don't have problem with tip, I have problem when someone asks me for his tip. Im not the hotel owner who pay the bills to the staff, I will pay if I think someone did extra good job.

The location is great, close to the Venezia Mestre train station, just across the road. It's also close to the car rental center and very easy to return the car. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is well decorated, although it looks a bit dated. The bathroom is very large, with a bathtub and a writing desk. The breakfast is varied and delicious.

The staff were quite slow at both check-in and check-out. They were not very friendly even though they were very helpful. However, this may have been because they were quite busy with many guests.

The bathroom has new modern beige and ivory floor and wall tiles. Very clean and modern look. The granite countertop on the table was beautiful and elegant. I liked the most the fish tank that decorated the entrance. You stepped on a bridge and underneath, the fish swam from one side to the other. The bookshelves in the lounge and the whole old office decoration with typewriter machine created a cosy aspect. The Alliper store is on the same sideway with a hotel within 3 min walking distance. The railway Mestre and the bus stop (no 2) to Venice is across the hotel within 2 min walking distance. The travel time to Venice Ple Roma is 15 min by bus but you can also take the train to Venezia Santa Lucia railway.

Breakfast is not worth for the money (15 euros). One type of cheese, one type of bacon, one type of sponge cake. Plastic furniture in the room. It is neat, easy to clean, easy to replace but it looks cheap for a 4**** hotel.

We stayed four nights in this hotel. This hotel is right outside the Mestre Railway Station. Supermarket (Ali) and few Chinese restaurants are close in walking distance. Bus No.2 stop to Venezia is also very close (one at Raiway Station and another one right outside Ali Supermarket). If you buy the Venezia Unica day pass then the bus fee is included. Pay attention that if you buy the one-day (25 euro) Unica pass, train (TRENITALIA) and bus are both included but if you buy the two-day (35 euro) or three-day (45 euro) Unica pass, the train is NOT included and only bus is included. The room is big and super clean. We (2 adults and 1 teenage) got 2 rooms in the suite so it is very convenient. The housekeeper is super nice and every night when we come back the room has been very well made-up. The front deck is quite helpful to address questions and provide directions for logistics. Overall, if you go to Venice this is an excellent choice to stay.

There seems to be some sort of Party outside the hotel (across the street) so usually the sound of music and cheers are a bit annoying until 2 am in the morning. If you are sensitive to that please ask front desk to give you a room not facing the street.
