This stay was a 12/10 for us. This property was recommended to us by our wedding planner for an elopement location and there could not have been a better choice. The view was beautiful and Fabio was such a wonderful host. The accommodations were the most comfortable we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Italy. It felt very homey and had all the extra touches. Breakfast was wonderful. We loved our time here and can’t wait to return.

The proximity to Montalcino is great. The drive up to the city is steep and narrow but no big deal once you get used to it.

We had high expectations arriving at Il Burellino and it exceeded them all. The property is absolutely beautiful, the pool and gardens are private and peaceful and the views are stunning. Fabio is a kind and considerate host who kept in contact with us before arriving to make sure we would find our way there and gave us great recommendations for vineyards and things to do in and outside of the city. The property faces west so you get to see a magical sunset each night, and later at night the hills below the hotel were filled with glowing fireflies! We’re leaving with a lot of great memories and would very much like to come back some day. Mille mille grazie to Fabio and Il Burellino!

This was the most amazing stay. The place is beautiful, magical, comfortable and the owners were amazing as well as the breakfast they provided. Not only does this property overlook the beautiful countryside of wine country with breathtaking views but the farmhouse itself provdes an exceptional atmosphere that you simply must experience. Fabio was an amazing host and provide us with all the information about the area, places to visit and restaurants to go. The property is located very close to Montalcino at a very quiet and picturesque area, offering some amazing views. The room is big and very nicely decorated with all the things you need. We really enjoyed the pool that has decent size and offers amazing views.

There were mosquito devices in the room but I would like to have mosquito curtains so we could leave the doors open during the night.

The most beautiful location and room. The garden, pool and surrounds are breathtaking. The true romantic Tuscany experience. Fabio is so warm and welcoming. We got a flat tyre on our hire car driving into Montalcino and Fabio went above and beyond to assist us with having the tyre fixed. We will be forever grateful for his assistance. The breakfast Fabio provides is beautiful. We will definitely be back! Fabio, thank you again for being such a generous host and looking after us.

Everything was wonderful from Fabio who was so friendly, helpful , funny and charming to thw property and the proximity to the centre of Montalcino. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated and the breakfast with the many cakes and coffee selections was the perfect start to every day . Don’t forget the pool which was fantastic on a hot day but also verified to swim in at sunset.

The narrow road in and out of the property but you do it once and it’s ok as Fabio said drive slowly and it will be ok.

Il Burelino farmhouse was absolutely stunning, watching the sunset from above the olive trees by the pool was breathtaking… one of my favourite things to do and it sets right in front of the house. Fabio was also an amazing host and he did an amazing job with the landscape and decor of the property, it was all beautifully designed. The breakfast he offers in the morning was wonderful and fresh, loved it. I look forward to coming back here in the future!

There was not one thing I didn’t like.

Although we arrived late in the evening and we woke up to a gloomy day, the little we could observe of the landscape was truly breathtaking. The room was exquisite – clean, warm, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable retreat. The owner was exceptionally kind, offering valuable local recommendations, and the breakfast he prepared added a delightful touch to the experience.

One point to note is that the road leading to the location is a gravel road with uphill stretches and a few potholes. I recommend having a good car and being a skilled driver, but nothing too challenging.

Wonderful hospitality, attention to details, incredible decor, and the view was breathtaking. Fabio was a fantastic host, making sure all guests were comfortable and guiding our adventures beyond Il burrillino. Our room was like a page from history, with tasteful artistic accents blending perfectly with the beamed ceiling, ancient tile floors and shuttered windows. The bathroom was modern and yet blended perfectly with the original building. Everything was first class and the setting was tranquil and luxurious. Highly recommend.

Nothing… except a bit hard to find the first time in. Fabio did a great job guiding us. Maybe signs along the way would be a help to assure weary travelers they are going in the right direction.
