Stay was Friday & Sunday nights, with a day trip to Sorrento on Saturday. La Gemma permitted us to store our luggage for Saturday night. Same room both nights. Location directly on Piazza Dante and Dante Metro stop. Hostess Gemma exceptionally gracious and helpful with information about getting around Naples and restaurant suggestions. Everything super clean. Good breakfast options. Only caution; elevator to 3rd floor, but then 30 steps to roof top terrace and entrance to rooms. Carry-on bags, not a problem, larger bags for longer stay or older travelers (we qualified on both) a challenge. Fortunate for us Gemma’s significant other, Fabio, was around to help. Definitely a 9.6 rating.

La Gemma is located in a fantastic position close to lots of bars and restaurants in the beautiful city of Naples. We had such a fantastic time and our stay was made all the better by the kindness and advice of Gemma who looked after us really well. Our room was clean and tidy and had aircon together with a nice en suite bathroom. The breakfasts were perfect for us and we would definitely stay here again.

The only thing we did not like was having to come home !

Everything was great! Gemma is a great host - very helpful and welcoming. The b&b is very well located if you’re taking the metro or even walking by foot. Breakfast is plentiful, as you fill out a form with what you wish to have each morning. A/C and Wi-fi worked great.

The stairs can be a bit of a hassle, especially when you’re tired in the summer heat, but nothing too troublesome (the elevator costs 0,20). The plumbing system can be a bit noisy. The street is loud, but c’mon, you’re in Naples.

Gemma was a great host and very helpful before and after our arrival, and even pre-warned us of a transport strike, which enabled us to adjust our trip in advance. The facilities were lovely and clean with a kettle in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. There was lots to select from at breakfast, even some homemade cakes. We also got a welcome drink on arrival! The location is also excellent, right near the Via Dei Tribunali with excellent pizzerias and street food. Would definitely stay again!

I had an unforgettable trip here! This hotel really gave me a surprising experience. First of all, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made me feel welcome. They always had a smile and were always willing to help, making me feel truly cared for. The comfort of the room also exceeded my expectations. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very clean. The hotel's food and beverages are also excellent. Breakfast offers a variety of delicious options, including a variety of artisan breads and hot coffee. Finally, the hotel facilities are great. I spent some leisure time there. Moreover, the hotel's location is very convenient, close to the city and the subway station, and the transportation is also very convenient. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay. Thank you to the hotel staff for making my holiday so special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at La Gemma. Gemma was an excellent host and went out of her way to provide us with information and recommendations. The room was spacious and light and very comfortable, the bathroom likewise. As the B&B is on the 4th floor, there was no noise from the street. The location is very ventral to the historical centre, and within a short walk to the harbour. Piazza Bellini with good restaurants and cafes is just around the corner.

Gemma is a very warm host and sent me all the details prior to the check in and also helped me find the way to the place. Smooth check in and she she also accommodated my request for an early check in. Gave recommendations for places around. Place is close to the metro station and main square. Room was nicely done. Recommend for a simple, no fuss stay , close to the metro and city centre. Gemma is a very warm host :)

Gemma was a fantastic host . Her English was excellent and her advice on places to visit during our 3 days valuable. We appreciated the map she gave us and was generous with her time pointing out places of interest and making notes on our map. We followed her guidance and had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable and spacious, we felt very safe there. The location was excellent, Dante plaza is very vibrant with plenty of street bars and outside areas to watch the world go by. The breakfast selection catered for everyone. Gemma was on hand for a good part of the day and in easy contact by text.

The location was perfect, right in Piazza Dante, on the top floor of a grand old building. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and Gemma was incredibly helpful. She sent a photo of the building on WhatsApp, called our transfer for me, was welcoming and clear. She’s fluent in English. Fantastic find!

Gemma was very welcoming and truly made my friends and I feel like home. Our room was perfect with lots of room. The views from the balcony are stunning and truly capture the beauty of the city center. Gemma makes the best breakfast and coffee. Her lemon cake was delicious and something I will very much miss. Traveling as a female can at times be a little scary and booking accommodations can pose some difficulty, yet my stay at La Gemma felt very safe! She also provided us loads of information of what to eat and see in the city! Gemma also helped my friends and I plan a day trip to Amalfi Coast. La Gemma BnB set the standard! I hope to visit Naples again and of course stop by La Gemma! :)
