Beautiful decorated boutique hotel, encompassing old & new features. Our suite was very spacious and clean. Service was exceptional and we loved the breakfast spread. Was the perfect stay for our large group of family. The location is very central!

What a lovely place to stay, full of original architectural features and in a brilliant location. A classically beautiful B&B on a piazza with a metro (Dante) leading straight to the central station. Pizza Dante is on Via Toledo, a safe and interesting street buzzing with shops, gelateria and people, leading down towards to water, with the Spanish Quarter and funiculars an easy walk. Directly behind Foro Carolino, the historical city centre starts, with tiny alleys, churches, trattoria, shops and tourist attractions. It really couldn't have been better placed. (The map Francesco gave us when we arrived was by far the best map of all the ones we used.) It took us about half an hour to walk to the central station when we decided not to use the metro but we could have moved faster if we had chosen to. (It was just too interesting to speed.) Francesco and Maria were also very good about offering us a discount they had negotiated with a private car, 25 euros from the airport. We were happy enough with the Alibus (5 euros and a 6km trip) and metro (1.5 euros, about 15-20 minutes from Piazza Garibaldi station on Line 1) so didn't take them up on it but if we had arrived at antisocial hours, or there were more than two of us, it would have been very welcome. Big, spacious rooms, with ours (no. 3 ) overlooking the piazza. It has everything you'd expect - safe, slippers, etc. plus a table and chairs. We didn't use the TV but it was there. The toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated. I read in another review a complaint about the ballet school upstairs but we didn't find it a problem - sometimes you could hear their feet on the floor as they danced but it was more like white noise than anything to worry about. When the piano was playing overhead, it was absolutely charming. Staff were very helpful and Anna, the house keeper, does a very nice breakfast as well as keeping the rooms immaculate.

Apparently the rooms will have a refresh in a week or so, which should take care of very minor things that can be easily sorted out; the shower drain not coping with the water from the handheld shower hose, for example, or scuffmarks on the vintage tile floor. (Excellent water pressure, though, and when you used the overhead shower it was fine.)

Thank you for a perfect stay in an accommodation that clearly exceeded expectations! Everything from the fantastic atmosphere, the voluminous room, world-class cleanliness and a perfect breakfast on top of that. I worked at my computer for a couple of hours every day and was dependent on a high speed wifi. Even though the walls in the building were up to a meter thick, the connection worked perfectly. If you have high demands on your accommodation in Naples, this is the place to stay. And thank you for the surprise with a birthday cake. It was really appreciated!

Beautiful and stylish in an old Palazzo. Located directly at Piazza Dante. Perfect to explore the city by feet. Great ambience, spacious, modern and clean. Great restaurants and bars nearby. A bit noisy at weekends, but the windows seal quite well. Unfortunately the AC was not yet activated at our stay, so we had to keep the windows open at night. Was not a big problem. Nice and helpful staff, a wonderful breakfast with good coffee. Would return immediately if I could...

AC should be on (at least for the nights), it was a bit warm already in April.

Faro Carolina is THE place to stay in historic part of Napoli. Perfect location, old world charm, gracious hospitality. This was the last B&B that we stayed in during a 3 week-tour of Italy and it was THE BEST!. Our guest suite had a balcony from the bedroom and the bathroom looking out onto the main square. Gracious host, wonderful room, very romantic and authentic Italian experience, great breakfast. If you are looking for a memorable, very safe and comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay in Naples, look nor further, you've found it here.

Wouldn't change a thing. It might have been helpful to have more detailed, specific directions on how to locate the B&B, as it is somewhat hidden from the "street view". IDK, perhaps that was included in our communications from Booking.com and I just didn't see it. It's a little tricky to locate but well worth the effort once you are inside (a former private palace that is still owned, maintained and by the grandson, whose nobleman graghdfater that was given then operated

I love foro carolino and it’s already the second time we book with them, the location is great and having the possibility to be in an historical building is amazing. The decorations and details are superb, Francesco, the owner, is very helpful and kind (like the other members of staff), lovely to have a chat in the morning after breakfast giving us useful tips to plan the day around in Napoli. I hope to come back soon.

All smooth, nothing wrong

Foro Carolino is a hidden treasure. Not so easy to find, but once it reveals itself; what a beautiful little place! Before we even arrived, the staff were in touch to help us arrange airport transfers (at a much more reasonable rate the regular taxis). Once we got there, we were helped with our bags, shown around the beautiful room and then given a short guide on where to go in the city, along with directions and a map. The room itself was huge, comfortable and of a really high standard. All of the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much of a problem. We have already recommended Foro Carolino to some friends who are interested in visiting Naples!

The area itself probably isn’t as upmarket as some might hope for, but don’t let that put you off. You are no more than 5 minutes walk from some high end shopping locations.

Very comfortable rooms (35m2), beautiful, painted ceiling, well equipped, amenities. Good, central location, facing Piazza Dante, few minutes walking distance from Historic Centre. Francesco (the owner) was very kind as a host and very efficient in explaining all the basic walking routes and nice trattorias for dinner. Breakfast had a limited variety but with quality ingredients, including fresh orange juice and good cappuccino!

Some noise from Piazza Dante which is a lively and vibrant area. The external door was looked during the evening and night for safety reasons, and the entrance was possible from a very small door.

We booked what was the living room of the original facilities, and as such the room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast times were a bit late for our tastes (8-10 am), but the personal service and quality made up for any shortcomings. The room overlooked the Piazza Dante, and the location of the hotel provided easy access to nearby attractions in the heart of Napoli. Thank you to Frachessco, your helpfulness ensured that my stay was wonderful.
