Our stay at this resort was one of the most pleasant surprises of the whole vacation in Sardegna this year. Andrea and his family are probably the most welcoming and kind people we've met during this holiday and, thinking back when we read the previous reviews of his place, all I can say is that they are not exagerated. They are truly nice, kind and very, very helpful people! If you want to have a great place to stay, with a breathtaking view, a unique garden and hosts that will pay attention to every need you have (they even offered to help us with transportation when we were in dire need of a cab to the airport or to other places around the city of Olbia), then look no further - Sole Matto Rooms is the perfect choice. I can't think of a single moment during our vacation that we thought of "Oh, I wish they had this or that". Even when we asked for help with setting up our dinner or getting some glasses of wine, no matter the hour, Andrea and his folks helped us every single time, with a big smile on their faces. Seriously, I think these were the nicest people we've encountered throughout this entire island. And, in our last night there, they all came to say goodbye, knowing that we were about to depart early next morning. The whole experience that we've had was like visiting long lost relatives and being cared for like proper family members. So if you still have doubts about booking this place - trust me, you will not regret it (the size of the room and the fact that you have access to a huge outdoor garden is probably reason enough). We still recommend that you rent a car though (even though there is a bus station right at the guesthouse entrance, the public transportation on the island is attrocious. Don’t worry, we managed to move around only by bus or boat, but it’s a very limited way of exploring what this island has to offer).

Lovely new clean rooms and convenient location. Andrea was a good and accommodating host.

Not really as advertised: no sea view (unless standing on tip toes at edge of property counts), limited amenities in room compared to most in this price range, no windows except for small one in bathroom (without a bug screen). Grounds could use some work too (landscaping, general clean up) - all of which led to a feeling that the property was not quite as upscale as depicted in the photos.

The place exceeded our expectations with its stunning view and excellent apartment conditions. The host, Andrea, provided exceptional hospitality from day one, making us feel truly at home. Breakfast was great, with the added perk of choosing our croissant flavor. Everything was super clean and tidy. The location is easily accessible and offers free parking. We highly recommend this place; in my opinion, it’s even better than the photos, thanks to Andrea’s warm and welcoming nature.

The rooms are super clean and tidy. The host is so kind and always ready to help with any questions or needs. He even stayed up until midnight for us because our flight was late. Every morning, he makes fresh breakfasts with awesome coffee. He asked what we liked to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay.

Everything was great

Our room and the whole house had been completely new and renovated and the room was decorated with a lot of attention to detail. We enjoyed that it had been super quite but still very close to Olbia and really beautiful beaches. The garden is equipped with loungers and chairs, so you can sit outside in the evening very nice while the sun goes down. Parking was also possible on the property which is a thing which is hard to find in sardinia. But what we appreciated most about our stay was the high level of hospitality shown to us. Andrea was very sympathetic, helped us and we really enjoyed the breakfast which he served us in the morning. We would have loved to stay longer and hope to come again. Highly recommended!!!

It was an amzing experience staying at Hotel Matte Rooms.The view from the hotel was just amazing, we enjoyed everyday the sunrise and the sunset up from the hills. The room was clean, everything what you need. Andrea!What do i have to say?! Such a nice and helpful person. His dog Lucce, really cute. Even when we had to drive early to the tours he served our breakfast before at 08:00 o‘clock. Thank you Andrea for making our stay in Sardinien such an amazing experience!

Perfekt!

Had a super nice staying experience here. Everything is organizated very well, the owner is so kind and provide perfect tasty breakfast and fruits every morning. We are very happy to choose here, and even there's a small distance to pittulongu beach but the bus is very convenient to go each different beach of the east coast. Very happy to be here and highly recommend.

Our host Andrea was great, always pending and very attentive to satisfy our needs. The location is great, very quiet, surrounded by olives, a few minutes away to the beach (by car). There is a nice porch with nice view to the sea. The room is large, comfortable bed and all appliances are new.

Nothing to complain, we had a really nice stay here.

It was close to the beach and right next to a bus stop, but most of all, the kindness and the dedication of Andrea to bring good service was exeptional. Great host, great view, great experience.

Thank you Andrea for a lovely stay in Olbia. Myself and my wife spent 5 nights in Olbia, our room was lovely, clean sheets and towels, good wifi and air conditioning. The house is only a few minutes away from city centre, closest beach is at 3 minutes drive, plenty of restaurants around as well. Andrea offered a lovely breakfast and he was also very kind to give us tips for the best tourist attractions around. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything :)
