In a great peaceful location within easy walking distance of Piazza dell Valle, the Basilica di Sant'Antonio and Orto Botanico. Close to the tram stop which takes you directly to the railway station. Several bars restaurants and cafes locally. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Our second stay here and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Given the standard of the rooms it is a shame only paper cups and plastic glasses are provided. Coffee was not replenished although the staff did find us some when asked.

The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs - close to beautiful parts of Padova - Valle del Prato, the Botanic gardens and very conveniently near tram stops which meant you could get to other interesting parts of the city very easily. My room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff at the main hotel were very helpful, kind and friendly. The fridge and kettle were very welcome.

It is a shame you have to check-in at the main hotel - which is a bit of a trek for a weary older traveller, but it wouldn’t put me off staying here again. Most of the time there was little noise in the room except when other guests opened the front door - this seemed to trigger a rush of wind which made my room door bang loudly and this gave me several shocks - the bangs were quite loud! Also, I think it was the fridge which made occasional sudden noises too. Both these unexpected sudden noises spoiled an otherwise positive experience.

Very spacious room, modern interior and clean. Comfortable beds, quiet but central location. Good to have a fridge and kettle in the room. Bottles of water in the fridge was a nice surprise on arrival. Good shower and nice toiletries provided. The location was very good, close to the main sights and bars and cafes and very close to the Botanic gardens. Short walk to bus and tram stops for the station

At check in (which is at a nearby hotel) we were not informed how to access the WiFi, although we were handed the information it was not made clear what this was-I thought it was a receipt. A call to reception soon cleared that up. Unfortunately the air con was not working for some reason the first night and the room was definitely too warm. There was a flashing light above the bed which only became apparent in the dark, presumably to do with the smoke alarm but very annoying

The hotel is located on a nice and quiet street. The gentleman in the reception was very friendly. The room was quite big and spacious. Both AC and WiFi worked without problems. There is a large closet space to keep your stuff. Refrigerator in a room was very convenient, especially in the summer. Again, bathroom was also quite large, equipped with everything you might need. No problems with hot water or water pressure.

Not much really, room shows some minor signs of wear out - toilet seat was broken and held together with a tape, one of the chairs had a stain, also the shower area could use some extra lights, it was little too dark. Oh, we also found empty wine bottle an beer cans left by previous guests on a top shelf.

Extremely comfy beds and great location

This hotel and room was exceptional. It seems to work as annexe to hotel casa pelligrino, which is nearby …but the site and rooms are excellent..excellent value for money and a friendly and informative receptionist. It is located near the fabulous botanical gardens and the church of santo Antonio and Donatello’s famous equestrian statue of Gattamelata. It is also close by way of via santo to the main shopping precincts and old piazza’s of Padova. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the scrovegni chapel. The cycle path from Vicenza to venezia skirts the edge of the city and using google maps the hotel area can be reached easily.

The actual premises exceeded our expectations.a first class stay.

The check in process in which I had to get the key 300mts from the Hotel. Considering the guests are traveling with luggage, it’s a hassle to find the key from another location.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our room - get room 21 if you can, as it is by itself on the top floor and opens to a large private deck with a view overlooking the nearby basilica! Fantastic!

No breakfast in the building - you have to go to the main hotel nearby (also where you check in) for it. Plenty of places around for that, though.

This hotel's indisputable best features are the price/value proposition and the location. Though other reviewers bemoan the lack of an onsite reception desk, we found the short walk to the sister hotel where we checked in to be absolutely manageable even with luggage. Padova's cobble-stone roads might slow you down slightly, but you will pass by some of the city's stunning monuments and much of the walk is under porticoes. The reception desk is very prompt on the phone to address any issue. The rooms are good, though ours was on the small size (we had a much larger one on a previous stay, and it depends on what side of the old building you are), well appointed and extremely clean. The price is unbeatable for location and comfort.

We usually sleep with thick pillows and the bed had one pillow per person, on the thinner side. It might be beneficial for the hotel to provide an extra pillow or two in the (large and well-appointed) room cabinets/armoire. Note for other travellers: some rooms have direct access to floors from the elevators; other require a couple of steps to move from half-floor to half-floor; if you are mobility impaired (or have lots of unwieldy luggage!), make sure to request a room that has direct access to the elevator.

Our stay at Hotel Canton dell' Orto was just perfect. Our room was spacious and wonderfully arranged, tastefully furnished and fully equipped. Cleanliness was beyond expectation. The hotel was located in a beautiful and quiet area, next to the magical Botanical Garden, within a few minutes walking distance from the center. Staff was friendly, polite and discreet. Breakfast was of good quality and had many options, did not mind at all that it was served in another building. Would love to return someday!
