It was our first stay in this hotel and originally it wasn't our first choice. But we got to know a hotel with very super friendly staff and an outstanding breakfast buffet and also a very good evening menu in the restaurant, albeit a little too playful. We weren't able to use and experience everything the hotel has to offer during our stay, but what we can say is that we would love to come back and are really looking forward to it. The hotel convinced us and although we were a little skeptical at first, we think we'll be impressed again next time. Great and very hard-working staff, a big thank you from us.

What we didn't like was the behavior of many German holidaymakers from Germany. In a foreign country, as in Italy, you should be able to speak at least the basic words in Italian, such as good morning or please and thank you. If it's just about beer and pork knuckle, these people should stay at home. Italy should not become Mallorca. In this context, we have the greatest admiration for the hotel staff, but also sympathy and condolences. In addition, the minimum price for a pizza with pineapple topping should be one hundred euros, worldwide, thx. PS: Fortunately, however, there is still an unimaginable amount to discover around Lake Garda, not only just German cyclists hanging off your exhaust pipe.

This was our first time visiting La Garda, and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The customer service and staff was great. The facilities was very clean. And the breakfast was truly 10/10 with so much variety and quality food. The staff was consistently attentive any accommodations during our entire few weeks traveling in Italy. Further, on the day of checkout, we unfortunately left our wallet behind. When we realized, in a panic we called the Resort, and immediately they mobilize to go to the room to look for it for us, they took our loss seriously and made genuine effort to help us. They called us within the hour to inform us they have located it. And because it was a weekend, they needed till weekday to find shipping method so they can send it to us. I was worried they would forget about this and not get back to us, however they did not forget and reached out to let us know they will ship it right away. We are extremely grateful for attentiveness and extremely high level of customer service. Preparing nice room is one thing, but helping us in moment of trouble is above and beyond. Thank you @staff for your kindness to helping us. We are from abroad, and have travel in many places, Astoria Resort has been one of the best experiences for us and we hope we will have good fortune to visit again.

We found out too late on check out day the that the resort can offer guest pass for the area to visit and engage in many attractions. Definitely ask about this, the staff will be happy to help.

The grounds were beautiful and very upkept. The breakfast was remarkable as was the restaurant staff. The best breakfast we've experienced in Europe. The beds were extremley comfortable, the room was fully equipped with all the necessary ammenities. We loved the basket of apples next to the elevators, that was such a wonderful touch! Overall, our Astoria resort hotel experience was terrific. We would come back and recommend to others!

The bathroom shower is practically obsolete. There is a tub, which we never use at a hotel. We didn't mind the bathtub the issue was if you wanted to take a shower there was a small glass partition which was not practical and water splashed all over the floor. Moreover, there was a beautiful and spacious balcony with a great view. We would've prefered a privacy wall between the rooms. Simply put, lovely balcony that we didn't utilize because we didn't want to awkwardly sit with other guests.

The breakfast was out of this world, everything you could imagine up for grabs! We booked just a double room, so the space was a little tight but as expected. The pool was amazing, great pizza and service at the pool bar, and you could move a sun lounge onto the grassed area away from the children for some peace and quiet if you preferred.

So great that we were able to park our car! However, there was no allocated spot for each room, meaning it's a free for all. We had to park on their driveway a few times and on the street (although this was the peak of August).

The hotel is amazing. We were there for Christmas and they have thought of a Christmas lunch (which was very tasty and with classic music) and other events for the kids. We also tried the spa, which was small, but it offered a whole experience with some products and tips what to do. The center of Riva del Garda is walking distance and wonderful for short walks. We also liked a lot the bakery, which is part of the hotel.

Our room was a bit small for 4 people and the additional beds for the kids were not comfortable. We did not have a light in the hallway. We also did not like that we had to pay for the spa an additional fee.

The staffs we met were all friendly and supportive. Location is not far from center (12-15mins walking). Breakfast was good with various selection. Our family room has big space for kids to play around.

Room was too hot during day and night. There was no way to adjust the temperature besides opening the window, but this way we would here the noise outside. (We were facing the street and a river) every night we had to struggle to cool ourselves and kids down. We had dinner once in the hotel, we waited in front of the reception but there was no staff coming to greet us even if they saw us. At the moment there was only one table with guests. After few minutes a staff came to us and told us we have to wait for 10mins for them to settle. With tiring kids we don’t have alternative but to wait. Otherwise we would have left already. Foods were in average and a bit over priced.

Everything was perfect, the breakfast was simply amazing with plenty of options. Home made pancakes and omelette with chefs ready for you. The room was quite big and very comfortable with a nice mountain view. The spa area is clean and nice, quite small but with all the necessary that you would need.

The bathroom was large enough but I think needs some updates in terms of interior design. The bed for my personal taste could have been harder than that. The spa is too small for the entire hotel

Hotel nicely decorated. Professional staff. Restaurant can be booked for the evenings. Family friendly. Entertainment every night during dinner. The staff became like family. Help was always offered. Requests were always met. Beautiful sunset views from the reception area. Organised activities in the hotel.

The heavy celebrations on 1st January. We had a 3 year old and I couldnt sleep with the noise and smell of smoke coming through the doors! Also we were quite disappointed on how meat is cooked. It was never tender.

We had a junior suite and it was really spacious and with an amazing Mountain View. I really liked personal touches as a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome gift and sweets every night before going to sleep. The breakfast stretch in also exceptional there.

Spa in the hotel is not for free and seems to be quite costly (20 € per person for 2 hours). Also the hotel is not really in the center, though it’s hardly a defect, it’s just a 10 min walk from the town center.

A very pleasant hotel? more resort with a beautiful garden that allows you to get away from the surrounding hustle and bustle. What is definitely a plus is the specious garden and outdoor pool - large, clean and deep. Adequate number of sunbeds and umbrellas. A great place to play with children. In addition, a playground for younger children, with swings and a table tennis. On top of that there is a very nice spa area, with a great indoor pool and a really nice sauna. Rooms were fine, but not four star standard (our room). The facilities, especially in the bathroom, is old, but good taken care of. The breakfast was really good. Pretty wide selection of breakfast styles – good variety of products. Helpful and attentive staff. Very welcoming and supporting with all our needs. Great location, just a 10 min walk to centre of town. I would recommend it for a family since it is a child friendly hotel.

- Some rooms and bathrooms could do with modernising - The room was a little basic: + paper cups instead of glass or ceramic; no tea spoons… + tea bags were not replenished; only on request + no ironing board + no capsule coffee maker + only Italian and German channels on tv. No English at all??? - toiletries were not replenished regularly; I had to remove a container myself to replace it with a new one - double bed was actually 2 singles 😊 - poor waiter service during breakfast (lack of cleaning tables from used tableware)
