Francesco was so kind since our arrival, specially with my mother that is handicap. The hotel offers a good proposition for those traveling in family and very well located. Thanks Francesco to make it even better.

Location is near Termini. Room is quite large. Good réceptionnistes.

They charged service of luggage keeping after check out at 5 euros / valise. I think they can support this free of charge for guests.

The location was great, close to Roma Termini and just a straight walk down the main street to the Colosseum. The reception and housekeeping staff were above excellent, we left something there and they had kept it safe for us to collect the next day. Good place to store luggage also and they had a drinks fridge in reception which was very handy. Also, we had heard about the safety in the area around Roma Termini being unsafe, however at Hotel Altavilla 9 we felt very safe.

There wasn’t many electrical sockets in our room, so if you are staying here bringing an extension cable might be a good idea.

I recently stayed at Altavilla 9 and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was spotless, well-furnished, and had a beautiful view. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere, which made for a great night’s sleep. The location is perfect close to restaurants and public transports. I highly recommended this hotel

I was there just for 1 night, and mostly liked the location of the hotel, it’s near to the main train station, 10 min walkable distance. Mr. JK (Jai Krishna, in the reception) is a very gentle and friendly person and was very - very helpful in terms of information providing and all support required. Our room AC was not working properly and when I complained to JK, he offered to change the room as well. Overall was a good deal.

Every time you go out of the hotel, you have to leave the room keys in the reception. I forgot and then had to come back from 5th floor to collect the keys! Also the temperature was too high for me at 39 degree Celsius!!!

Its proximity to Termini is the best part. It’s a no frills place to sleep for a night our two to be near termini. If you’re planning a long term stay in Rome you might be disappointed, but it’s fine for what it is.

We enjoyed our stay. I would say the quality is that of like a 2 star roadside hotel in the U.S. If you’re expectations are set correctly and you’re not expecting much more than a place to shower and sleep for a day or two, you’ll find this place works just fine.

the worst breakfast I have ever had. the coffee machine gave me a spoilt milk coffee :/ readymade pastry. one time I had bruschetta, tomatoes on bread how bad could it be? it’s was bad.. :( I just eat two breakfast here out of six days

We were pleased with the hotel. It was very close to the train station. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and were cold. Francesso offered us coffee and welcomed us very warmly. He was created for us on the map of Rome. Although we bought a room, they offered breakfast on the first day. Everything is good. We will come. Thank you for everything.

The hotel was a little old but us room cleaned every day.

I’m traveling often to Rome and after many hotels/b&b is a year that I only stop in here, very good position (walk distance to the train station)very clean rooms and very kind people working in the hotel. In every room were I was I found ac, fridge comfortable bed and tv, the forniture is basic but functionally.the toilet are fine and clean as well and the lift is one of the biggest I saw in this old building around the train station.

Room was fine, bed was extremely firm, it was a tad tight with 4 beds but it was fine. Bathroom was tight but functional. Shower worked well, plenty of hot water for several people to shower consecutively. Front desk was helpful. The outside looked scary at first - but it was fine. The area had many well dressed travelers walking around in the evening. Breakfast was basic Italian: bread, cheese, croissants, juice, tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Window opened to a center concrete courtyard, shutters and drapes for privacy. Window combined with powerful ceiling fan kept the room cool at night. We didn’t use the a/c. Refrigerator worked. Laundromat within 4blocks. 10euro/load done for you quickly or self serve about the same cost. Many restaurants around hotel. Wonderfully close to Roma Termini for transportation.

Room was a bit crowded- I kept running into the bed outside the bathroom and the toilette door knocks into the bidet, but it wasn’t terrible. The bed was too firm for my taste. The outside would look so much better if they removed the dirty canvas sign above the left door - less scary looking. The lighted sign is perfect and I wouldn’t have hesitated at first if it was just that one sign. I’m traveling with my kids, so I was a bit leery at first based on that initial impression, but as I said, it turned out fine. Typical of a 1-2 star hotel, as described.
