If there's one thing that Hotel Barocco excels in it is service. Everyone in the staff is constantly smiling and eager to help. I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel conducts morning roll calls where the staff is reminded to smile throughout the day. As for location, it is in Piazza Barberini, with the metro and numerous bus lines just steps away. So unless one needs to stay in the midst of the "tourist action" it is very convenient. The a la carte breakfast is a welcome change from the standard pile-all-you-can buffet breakfast, and at least for me offered everything I could want for breakfast (I wouldn't wonder if they'd try to accommodate you if asked for something not on the menu.)

After all this praise, there is area for improvement regarding the rooms (or room 44 specifically). First, in today's world you need power outlets on both sides of the bed, not just on one side. Second, there is just not enough hanging space and no storage drawers for clothes, so you end up living out of your suitcase, when there isn't really enough space in the room or entry hall for two large suitcases. There needs to be some serious rethinking about the room outlay, and at least for us it seriously hurt the overall impression from our stay. On the plus side, A/C was great. A must for Rome in august.

The breakfast was a delightful experience—not a buffet, but nothing was lacking. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff was outstanding, going out of their way to provide the best service possible. It was a perfect start to our day. Our room was a bit small, but it was perfectly functional. What truly stands out is the hotel staff; they are the best I have ever met. Their high level of service and genuine kindness were remarkable. They went above and beyond to help us with everything from transport to sightseeing. The location is ideal, right next to the Barberini metro station and a short walk from the main attractions. We would happily return to this hotel.

There's not a single thing I would change. It was simply fantastic and I can't recommend it enough.

I like the location, more than anything.

My room was very small. The price wasn't and this is why I was expecting more. I had a problem with the shutters on the window, I couldn't reach them way out and. they were locked open; that was late at night when I went to sleep. A good idea would be leaving that unlocked for us, guests. The sunlight was shining strong in the room VERY EARLY, before 6 am in the morning I left the hotel at 7 am for the airport and breakfast room wasn't opened yet. They have promised me the night before a breakfast package to take away that I had to remind the front desk person. There was water and a croissant in the bag. By the way, the front desk person was alone and had to come up himself to help me with my luggage when I asked for help. I'd expect more from a hotel of that category.

The room was ready @10:30 am when we arrived- which was so amazing after flying overnight from the US! The room was nice and clean and pretty (in the annex building just a few steps from the main building). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The little bar was cute for an after dinner cocktail and breakfast was yummy. The location was perfect and close to Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain. Also there were several nice restaurants just around the corner.

While it was nice for 2 nights (for my daughter and I) I don’t think it would be ideal for a longer stay. It was a good place to lay your head after a long day l, but not to spend time in if you want to relax at the hotel all day.

The staff were very professional and friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the quality of the bedding and towels was 5 star. Breakfast was also of a very high standard and the way it was served exceeded our expectation. Overall, we would highly recommend.

The only thing that could have improved our experience would be a rooftop bar, but given the size of the property, I’m not sure that it would even be possible. There is a fantastic rooftop bar just opposite, so all our needs were met.

Location was great! Easy to move around to the attractions. Staff were wonderful! Breakfast is a la carte, and note that if you order more than 1 of the same item, it is chargeable (e.g. if you ordered scrambled eggs, and want another soft boil egg, that is chargeable). The welcome set is quite filling.

The room is very small, and there is an Aircon on the floor right in front of the bed. It took up so much space, and the air will constantly blow to your face. Would be good if they use the typical wall/ceiling aircon.

The location of this property is perfect. We could walk easily to attractions and shopping experiences. The hop on hop off bus was across the piazza. The breakfast was over and above our expectations. The staff at the hotel were fantastic especially in the breakfast room and bar. The front of house staff were incredibly helpful with all of our requirements. We would stay at hotel Barocco time and time again

Our stay at Hotel Barocco was absolutely wonderful! I quite literally cannot fault it from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful and really should be 5 stars. It’s beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean & has all the amenities you could want from a city break hotel. The staff at Hotel Barocco were absolutely lovely and truly went the extra mile - from the reception staff who upgraded our room to a junior suite (as we were there celebrating my husband’s 40th), to the housekeeping staff who left my husband little birthday gifts each day, to the breakfast staff who were attentive without being over baring, to the fantastic barman Giancarlos (my apologies if I’ve missed-spelt his name) who was the perfect host in the bar and made a special effort to understand our likes and dislikes (& not being phased at all by my sulphites allergy which can be very difficult to navigate). He even created me cocktails to try based on what he’d enquired about that I liked and has now led me to discovering my favourite cocktail! The room itself was lovely, very spacious for a Rome hotel room with large corner bath and large shower and ample wardrobe space. There were plenty of spare pillows and towels and although we didn’t need to, I felt absolutely comfortable that if we’d needed anything we could have asked for it and it wouldn’t have been a problem. The hotel is perfectly located for seeing the major sights; a 6 minute walk to the Trevi fountain and surrounded my many bars and restaurants without being noisy in the rooms (due to two sets of double glazing!). We are already planning our next trip back to Rome and will 100% be staying at hotel Barocco again. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Absolutely nothing. Thank you for a fantastic trip!

The staff is friendly, genuine and welcoming. They all went above and beyond to make us feel special. The location is in a very safe area and is walkable to many of the major sights Rome has to offer. The view of the piazza from our room was amazing! The breakfast served in small dining areas provided an intimate and personal experience each morning.

The piazza is quite busy, so it could be a bit noisy til the early morning hours. We were on the 1st floor with another business below and they were loud at times.
