The staff of the hotel is helpful and friendly giving good ideas for visits inside of Rome. The location is really good for moving in the city. Short distance example to Colosseum and main train station. The bus goes from the front of the hotel and the nearest metro is just a couple of hundred meters and we did also a lot of sightseeing by walking.

Rooms were a bit small but it's something that comes from an old building.

Breaksfast and location are perfect! The Italian gentleman at check-out was lovely, he was very friendly and respectful, amazing service! The check-in staff member was a little rude and condescending, which was a bit of a shock. The check-in experience was the only negative thing, everything else was great! Huge thank you for letting me store the bags for a few hours after check-out.

As above, the staff at check-in was not friendly and made me feel a little disrespected.

Friendliest hotel we have stayed in,in a city.From arrival offered a coffee,receptionist marked all the landmarks to visit on a street map and used a highlighter pen to show how to get to them.advised us to go 20m down street and go down steps to next street where there are plenty of good restaurants ,had lovely meals at different ones.Room not so big and a bit dark but fine if you are out all day anyway .Breakfast good,lovely sitting in outdoor area,laidback,help yourself .Not too big a hotel so quiet at breakfast time.Air conditioner worked ,room cleaned every day,towels changed daily.Location is fantastic,near train station,where bus from airport drops you off.Walked to Colliseum,(lovely to walk round at sunset ) Trevi fountain and vatican ,Traverse district over Tiber.Had a late evening flight,let us put our cases in storage room,access to toilet to change ,made us a coffee while we were doing this.

Hairdryer not so good,bring your own.not many plug outlets .

All staff except (one) were very helpful and always smiling,.The room was clean and the location is perfect Thanks a lot for Mr Kareem, Gigi, Larenso and the small lady from the kitchen

The woman responsible for the kitchen (I couldn't remember her name) is a big lady and manages the terrace through the breakfast meal, she is rude, aggressive, and treats guests in an inappropriate way (shouting, angry face, not helpful ) besides the lack of respect and politeness. I informed the reception with a complaint formally and I hope to reach the management out as she is the reason that i can't repeat my visit again to our hotel.

- Very strategic location: Termini station and many tourist attractions are within a 20-minute walk (Colloseum, Forum Romano, Trevi), the nearest metro station is around the corner - easy connection to the Vatican or the Spanish Steps - in the middle of the imposing Monti district with many small traditional restaurants - late arrivals are not a problem, luggage room at the reception, elevator (small) till the last floor, nice roof terrasse - rooms (double) are small and simple but very clean, simple tea-making facilities - family rooms for travellers with children - reasonable breakfast, attentive staff - value for money, very solid 3* hotel

- rooms are not well soundproofed - coffee (from coffee automate)

The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, they gave me really good advice on routes to walk and places to visit, including quieter places, off the beaten track. The location was good, about 10 minutes down the hill from the station, not far from the sights, I walked everywhere! There are also lots of great restaurants on the streets just behind the hotel, so lots of choice and only a couple of minutes away. The room was clean and I was pleased there was a kettle and a fridge.

More fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice, I wasn’t very keen on the tinned fruit salad.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel ticked all the boxes. It doesn't always happen, but in the case of Hotel Borromeo, the reviews are accurate! Great welcome from super-friendly staff, fab location, comfy bed, & the in-room kettle / fridge / safe were a definite plus. Got a quiet room at the back of the hotel - rooms at the front overlook a busy road. Breakfast was better than expected. The roof terrace is gorgeous! Perfect for a siesta with a glass of wine. Lovely neighbourhood with nice restaurants & bars. Easy to walk to major sites. There's luggage storage too, for check-out day. Recommended highly.

The room was on the small side - but when in Rome you don't spend your time in the room, right?

Just wanted to say thank you for the great stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and you kindly let us leave our bags. At the reception, we got a map and great tips on what to see, where to eat and shop. When we returned, our luggage was already in the room — very thoughtful! The hotel is clean, and all main sights are within walking distance.

The shower door wasn’t well designed — there was no rubber seal at the bottom, so water leaked all over the floor. Also, the room was very small for a family of three. With three suitcases, there was barely any space left to move around. It was manageable for a short stay of two days, but if we had stayed for a week, it would have been quite uncomfortable.

Wonder receptionist staff who go went and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful 24 hours in Rome. We booked very last minute and arrived early but the staff did everything possible to get a room ready with an early check in. The breakfast is also very good and complimentary. The views on the patio while relaxing and having breakfast can’t be beat! Look no further if you want a hotel that is central and a gorgeous walk to all the attractions, yet is away from the rowdiness of the tourism crowding. It is a 10 minute walk from the Roma Termini station so it was hassle free getting from and to the airport.

It was a wonderful stay and exactly what we needed. Greet price too. I suppose some of the photos are outdated and show rooms before the remodel. Our room was super modern and did not have any of the Roman charm and art like some older photos.

Perfect location - 15 mins walk to most attractions. Breakfast is ok but the same every day. It was good value for money for sure. You can leave your luggage before check-in or after check-out for a while.

Pretty noisy due to the street traffic. The same breakfast every day.
