Breakfast was brilliant. Choice of 3 for no extra cost. Location of hotel is within walking distance of Rome's main attractions. 24/7 receptionist for ease. Lots of bars, restaurants, adn shops nearby.

The hotel does offer a private taxi service from when you arrive at Ciampino, to the hotel, for 70 EUR. However, I would advise sorting your own taxi/Uber from the airport as this costs only 31 EUR for the journey from Ciampino. They do offer a taxi calling service from the hotel though, back to the airport, for 31 EUR also.

This small hotel is a great location just a block from the main area of shops & restaurants. There are a couple of local restaurants about a 1 minute walk away. It feels safe and cozy. The staff are wonderful and all speak good English and make you feel welcome. Anna was lovely and remembered me from last year. There is someone on the desk 24hrs so you can get help or a coffee anytime! There is an elevator so no problem getting up to your rooms with luggage. The rooftop bar area gives you a wonderful view across the city. Breakfast is a delightful selection of food and beautifully presented in a cozy breakfast room overlooking the courtyard. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was fantastic, it's close to many bars and restaurants. The tram and bus are very close and easy to navigate. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was pretty and really nice for dinner and a drink at sunset. The breakfast was great and offered three different options, including eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fruits, pastries and juice. The rooms were a good size and I loved being able to open the windows. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Trastevere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Franceso, located in the heart of Trastevere. Stepping out the front door, we found a plethora of amazing restaurants right at our doorstep. It served as a great base for exploring all the main tourist attractions. The hotel features a beautiful rooftop bar, and the bed was extremely comfortable, with the room being just the right size. We opted for the breakfast, which cost 10 euros, but I would recommend skipping it as it wasn’t very good. If you’re interested in flea markets, the Porta Portese Markets take place every Sunday just around the corner, it’s a huge flea market if that’s your thing!

The breakfast was not that great! Thats it! Opt for a local breakfast when you're out and about!

The hotel was perfect - a fantastic location with lovely rooms. It was about 30 minutes to central Rome, and then 10 minutes to the buzzy restaurant area in Trastevere. For us, it was the perfect mix of accessible to everything we wanted to see and do, while not feeling we were in the tourist zone. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and it was really great we were able to leave our bags on our final day after we had checked out but still had a little while before our flight.

The decor was cute and very clean. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was great. Had dinner one night in the bistro Jacob’s, attached to the hotel. It was amazing and offered lots of vegetarian and vegan friendly options. I would highly recommend the includes breakfast, nothing fancy but simplicity done to perfection. It always started our day just right.

I have a hard time with mattresses m, especially in hotels. I’m a little “Goldilocks” and I felt this was too firm for me but my wife had no problem.

Location. Quiet and peaceful area and close to restaurant, shops, and transportation links. Staff were polite and helpful. We didn’t try their breakfast but the food in the restaurant was amazing. View on the rooftop was very nice

Overall presentation of the room was very spartan and dreary. The room we stayed in had a big gap on the ceiling by the doorway that you can see the cables running thru. A tea-making/coffee would be a very welcome addition. The bed was not comfortable, i have a bad back so bed springs poking the back is not fun. Bathroom was freezing. We were advised by staff to adjust the radiator but the knobs don’t work.

Exceptionally helpful and nice staff, truly made our stay wonderful! Nice hotel amenities, tasty food, location far from the tourist crowds, but close (walking distance) to all the main entertainments and good restaurants. I would definitely come back here again.

Somewhat cold tile floor in the bathroom (not too great for November), would be nice to have coffee/tea in the room as well, not just downstairs.

This is a beautifully simple hotel. The rooms are spacious by city standards, comfortable beds, the sheets were soft and extra blankets were available with no hassle. They had good blackout shutters as well. The shower was large and had great water pressure. Towels were plentiful and generously sized, the toiletries were upscale. It was quiet, simply decorated and the rooms had wonderful natural light. The lobby bar /coffee bar and breakfast area were elegant , comfortable and the service was friendly and multilingual. We had morning cappuccinos and espressos only, but full breakfast is available as well. The restaurant has a great reputation but we did not eat there so cannot comment. The roof deck is gorgeous, make sure and have an aperitivo up there one evening, you must reserve! The roof has sweeping views of Aventino Hill, multiple basilica domes and the Altare de la Patria. I believe it is closed Mondays, but not sure. The staff at this place is very well trained and super helpful with getting taxis and information. We spent time chatting with the staff and were impressed by them! Shout out especially to the front desk people and the bartender/barista Farouk. Special mention to the talented mixologist James. Lovely folks :) The hotel is located in Trastevere right near Porta Portese and the bridge over to Testaccio, where you can find restaurants and strolling where there are no big tour groups. We will definitely book again.

There was nothing we didn't like except that we couldn't stay longer! Some might find the location too far off the well beaten track but it is actually quite close to the heart of the touristy area of Trastevere without being loud and crowded.
