Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the receptionist who provided us with a delightful welcome. The room was comfortable, and the location was absolutely perfect. Our stay was made even more special as we were there to celebrate a birthday, and to our surprise, the staff presented us with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, adding an extra touch of joy to the occasion.

Very clean, very good location and the staff is amazing. The bedrooms are comfortable, good bed and very clean. The restaurant that the reception recommended was very good and not expensive.

Breakfast room is very small, located at attic with sloping ceiling and we need to be careful with the head, but it has a small patio. When the simple croissants ends they do not replace.

Great location, staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast included every morning. Excellent service throughout my 8 night stay.

Room was so small. Refrigerator didn’t work. 2 small lamps on the side of the bed didn’t plug into anything as it didn’t work on the Italian plug. One of the outlets on the side of the bed was not attached to the wall. These were definitely noticed issues and I didn’t call in about it. I didn’t want to be bothered during my vacation so they could do their maintenance work. These items should be fixed/removed when a visitor is not using the room.

Location is TOP, there cannot be better place to stay in Rome. It is close to the main attractions, and other practical things. like grocerie, pharmacy, etc. People in receptions are super friendly, and professional. They greet us everytime with warm smile and really want you feel welcome. They even ordered a hair dryer for us when the one in the room was broken. Cleaning lady is amazing, she did perfect job every day! Our rooms were always very clean.

Size of the rooms were smaller than we expected, but it is well-equiped. We requested the manager to replace the bedding sheets exceptionally, because one of us was ill and could be better to have fresh sheets. She didn't except our request because it would cost them. This was very disappointing as our stay was for 8 nights, so I think she covered the cost perfectly.

This is a very good, very well located hotel, within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon in one direction and the Spanish Steps in the other direction. The room was very clean and comfortable. It has a small bar fridge and a desk to sit and work at when required. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even gave recommendations to some excellent little restaurants.

In Italy is seems to be common that a double bed is made up of 2 single beds pushed together, so you should check if this might be a problem for you.

The location was fantastic. We walked everywhere including to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Gardens of the Villa Borghese, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. Separately, we walked from the hotel to the Vatican City (which was a longer walk, but still do-able). There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby -- our favorite was Life Ristorante right around the corner -- superb. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

I wouldn't call it a dislike, but the room and bathroom were both on the small side and compared to what we paid in Venice and Florence, it was more expensive.

The moment I arrived to the hotel Marco welcomed me really beautifully He advised to walk around the places nearby like the Trevi fountain and the pantheon Also Anthony was nice I. The next day And Jain was more than awesome on my last day there I’ve lived in Rome before and being in this hotel was really amazing at a central location where I walked everywhere in only 2 days I also have to say I liked Laila preparing the breakfast she was really very friendly

The room like most Rome hotels are small but it’s acceptable And the breakfast was not so nice , no many varieties and the cappuccino from the machine was not tasty

The hotel is located in close proximity to some great eateries & historic attractions. The staff were helpful and always friendly. The premises is spotlessly clean & well appointed. We found the room very quiet and comfortable with a modern bathroom and climate control. The bed was supremely comfortable. Would we stay here again? Yes, I think we would.

The door to the hotel is locked after hours, until 7am. You will have your rely on staff to let you in/ out during these “locked hours” not an issue if there is someone at reception. The morning I wanted to go out early for a run, they were short staffed and the man on reception was looking after the breakfast preparation, so there was a bit of a delay in being able to just exit the building. A situation which could be improved.

The pricing is very reasonable, offering great value for the quality provided. What stands out most is the exceptional customer service—the entire team is consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to greet guests with genuine friendliness as they come and go. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with a clean and inviting interior, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. Hotel San Silvestro is a calm haven in the bustle of Rome. It's convenient to all the major sites, but tucked away on a quieter piazza that gave a feeling of coming "home" each day. The staff were so kind and helpful, it was clear that everyone wanted to make sure we felt welcomed and cared for during our stay. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, tasty breakfast. It can be overwhelming choosing a hotel in Rome, given all the options, but I couldn't have been happier that we landed in Hotel San Silvestro and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
