The receptionists were warm and welcoming, especially Daniele, who truly stood out! The common areas were clean and sufficient, though I didn’t use them much. For those who love a bit of culinary independence, the shared kitchen could be a game changer. My bedroom was equipped with air-conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay, and the bed was spotless. A huge plus, they allowed me to store my luggage before check-in and after check-out at no extra charge, which was super convenient! The location is very close to the train station, adding points.

The ensuite bathroom wasn’t in the best shape, you could tell the walls had soap buildup from ages past. I get that it’s a shared dorm, but a little extra care wouldn’t hurt. I also booked a towel for 2 euros, only to find it damp and looking far from fresh. When I mentioned it to the receptionist, she simply said, ‘It’s clean and it’s the last one,’ so swapping it out wasn’t an option. Oh, and heads-up: there’s no lift, so if your room’s on the fourth floor, get ready for a bit of a workout.

Location, price and the staffs. This place is a hostel with 8 beds (4 bunkers) So you share it with 6 other people. But for us it's ok (my husband and I. Everybody is minding their own business.

The shower room doesn't have shelf to put your shampoo/conditioner and body wash/soap.

The location is super convenient, within walking distance of the Colosseum, with a supermarket basically next door. My room was only a 3-bed female dorm, so it was fairly calm and quiet, with a bathroom within the room. Daniele at the reception was super knowledgeable and friendly!

Only complaint is that on my last day, I found my things had been moved around - I don't know if by cleaning staff or somebody else staying at the hostel. Later, when I had already left and checked out, I found that my sunglasses were missing. I messaged the staff if they had found them, but they haven't. Not sure if this is something worth noting, but it happened.

I had a very good experience at Melting Pot Rome. The hostel is in an excellent location — quiet and peaceful, with no noise coming from the street. I stayed in the 8-bed dorm, which was new, spacious, and well organized: a small table at the entrance, bunk beds well spaced on the left, and lockers with a bathroom on the right. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The air conditioning was always on, keeping the room fresh and free from any unpleasant smells.

In the bathroom, it would be helpful to have some hooks or racks to hang towels and clothes while taking a shower. Also, adding mosquito nets would be great, as there were still a few mosquitoes.

A good option for a short stay. Near the train station. The staff tried to make sure that strangers did not enter the hostel. The room may be on high floors, keep in mind that you will have to pick up your suitcases yourself, since the hostel does not have an elevator. The room was mixed, the air conditioner was working properly. But the bathroom was in a tired state. There is only one bathroom in the room, so sometimes I had to wait until it was free. The room hasn't been cleaned in 3 days, it's possible that I just missed it. There is a small backyard and a kitchen. There is no laundry in the hostel. But there is a supermarket and inexpensive cafes very close by.

Daniele is very nice host. You Can ask him about anything and he will likely answer you. The room are cleaned everyday, the kitchen is useful if u wanna eat in the hostel (there's a supermarket really close from the hostel and it's open til 21 pm). You can also go out and come by at anytime. You have lockers inside the room to protect your personal devices. The hostel is 20 min by walk from the colosseo, then another 20 min we'll get you to the foutain Trevi or the pantheon. There's also a Subway station about 5 min by walk. Caracalla thermes are also at 20 min. I had a really good experience at the melting pot and the last but not the least, the price is really fair for Roma.

I stayed at “Melting Pot Rome” for one night. The Hostel is near the central station, Colosseum and you can reach every attraction within 10 Minutes. Daniele was really helpful! 🙂 He suggested me the best Restaurant, he even showed me on map 🗺️ where to go and which attractions I can reach with the short time that I had. The other day I met Giovanna, she is volunteering there for a short amount of time. She was really friendly and I had a great conversation with her. Great location. Great place. Clean and comfortable. Staff is good and available 24x7. Almost all amenities are available at the bedside - nice bedding, socket, nightlight, small rack. Washroom was clean and looked hygienic as well. They kept my luggage for the day after checkout. Overall, a great stay for a 2-3-day backpacking trip.

One bathroom for 8 people. No breakfast. No lift. You will get a dormitory on the 3rd or 4th floor. Bring your own padlock for the locker - they'll charge you for one. Locker is small & lean - I could hardly fit my rucksack.

Just a bit expensive but I suppose it's Rome in June, but €75 p/n is by far the most expensive I have ever paid for a dorm 🥴🙁

Good location, very comfy beds, lots of storage space.

- someone left their belongings on my bed. When I told the night receptionist and brought the stuff he just shrugged and said thanks. Not his fault really, but strange and not nice that I find strangers things on my bed - day receptionist recommended me an "affordable" restaurant where a tiny portion of pasta cost 15 euro. Literally 11 rigatoni pieces. I had to find out where to eat and not leave hungry myself. - bit of mold in the ceiling above the shower, but other than that, everything was clean and tidy
