Merulana was a beautiful historic building only blocks from The Colosseum and Palenstine Hill. Loads of great restaurants nearby with the Metro Station a short five minute or so walk away. With a family of five this three bedroom, two bathroom apartment was very spacious and just what we had hoped. Pema helped with our arrival, getting us checked in and offered lots of great info for all the things in and around Rome. She was awesome. The unit is stocked with all the things. The apartment is showing its wear and tear and could use some updates for comfort purposes (beds, linens, furniture). For the price point and location it was a good stay.

It was near the tram station. Hosts were nice! They allowed us early checkin and late checkout. They immediately took action on an issue we had during our stay. We were welcomed by property manager upon our arrival with gifts of wine and other food itmes.

The showers were small. We had a problem with the toilet being clogged because a previous guest flushed a diaper into the toilet 😡. Our host Leonardo inmediately took action although we had to wait a while for the availability of the repairman

This is a great location, very close to the Colosseum and lots of restaurants. There are 2 coffee shops and a grocery store within steps of the apartment. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was friendly and responsive.

There are several pictures of 2 different apartments on the site, so you don’t really know which you are getting. We thought there was a table and chairs and a living space. In our apartment there was just a small couch in the kitchen that fit 2 people and a bar and uncomfortable bar stools. This typically would not be a big deal, but we had an ill child and had to spend more time than expected in the apartment and there was no area to gather in.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Merulana Suite Apartment, it’s a very cute apartment in the heart of the city. The showers were really powerful and the rooms were quite big and comfortable. The hosts rep was very attentive to our needs, telling us all the best places to go and eat at, and what sites to visit. This property was minutes away from the colosseum (you can see it from the front door of the apartment block) Food shops within 1 minute walk from the house.

Absolutely nothing

Absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable apartment with plenty of space to cook, rest and relax. Perfect location close to transport, great food and iconic sights - we could see the colosseum from our front door! Also the staff were friendly and helpful, giving lots of really great local recommendations out of the tourist traps.

Only thing is the aircon drips into the plant nearby so at night sometimes I woke up to dripping. But very comfortable otherwise :)

The property is located in an old convent. It has been appointed well to accommodate a family of 5 though the kitchen/living area is small (not too much of an issue when in Rome as you’re likely to be out seeing the sights anyway!!). The manager of the property was extremely helpful with things like organising airport transfers and the location of the property was fabulous.

It suited our needs perfectly.

Location is walking distance to Colosseum and easy to go to Metro too. Pema is helpful and responsive and also recommended a lot of good place to eat and value for money too.

Only the common area is a bit small and not enough to have 8 of us to sit there for breakfast but this is not our main concern.

There was enough space for our group. They gave shampoo, soap, toothbrush, and even welcome food and wines. You see the colosseum when you exit the property. And the property is an old convent, really nice.

The thermostat was a bit wonky, it was a tad too cold sometimes. The heater in the en-suite bathroom was making a weird noise every time we turned on the shower.

The location was the best we could wish for. Minutes away from the historical beautiful center of Rome, plenty of restaurants, grocery shops, delicious bakery next door, metro close, gorgeous historical building, spacious and stylish apartment, welcoming basket of goodies and a wonderful host. Without staying at this apartment our stay in Rome would not be the same.

Absolutely nothing. I can not think of anything negative about this apartment.

We liked everthing, gorgeous flat and great location (walking distance to the Colosseum). The check-in is a nice experience, they offer a nice breakfast at the cafe beside the building. The flat also comes with some gifts such as a bottle of wine that is a great way to start your day in Italy. The staff is very attentive and willing to help, one person of my group forgot her mobile phone and the staff helped us with that as well. Communication was great before, during and even after our stay. We will definitely come back.
