The location was perfect! The property sits at the threshold to St. Peters square and the Vatican. At night we could open our window and here the choir during an evening mass. It was magical! Close to great restaurants, shops and the river. We walked everywhere, but easy to get transportation right out front. Fausto, our host, and Lena who checked us in could not have been more helpful or kind. The room was spacious, cleaned every day with fresh towels and stocked minibar. The bed was comfortable, AC worked very well, and the room was like an oasis from the heat and humidity of the outside air. I can’t imagine a more wonderful place to stay in Rome, or anywhere really. Be sure to utilize the roll-down wood blinds in the windows for sleeping. They block all sound and light and you will sleep like a baby.

Very close to everything, staff fabulous, I had a late night arrival and was greeted by the owner even though was way out off hours The building is historical with beautiful features especially the floors and doors, room was very spacious, clean and cosy, many cafes around in the streets for breakfast with a great selection for everyone. It is literally 20m from St Peter’s which was amazing, I would highly recommend and will return again Fausto kept in regular contact from I booked to I departed, ensuring I was picked up and dropped off by a driver which made me feel much safer as travelling alone

Location is top, just a few meters away from the St.Peters square/cathedral and the castle St.Angelo. Super friendly staff, helpful with all kind of good tips, where to have lunch/dinner etc. Make it to feel home. Fausto helped tremendously with organising airport pickup and drop-off. Very flexible, could use the room beyond regular checkout. Good lunch/dinner location, across the street: DaRomolo Every last Sunday in the month the access to the St.Peters cathedral is free of charge.

Not bad at all, but good to know that the breakfast is not in the hotel, but a 100m across the street in a little cafeteria. Simple, but good breakfast: cafe, croissants and orange juice.

Great for the Vatican

A bit too far from the other attractions and the taxi rank is being used by numerous drivers to not put the meter on and charge cash only and basically rip you off Charging €30€40 for a €10 euro ride It’s ridiculous Be careful you have been warned !

Ciro, the owner’s son waited for us past 11pm without extra charge! Communication was so smooth with WhatsApp. He replies so quickly! He gave brief history of the place, helped carrying all our heavy luggage to the room, brought us to safe parking spot, and upon departure, he went to our car and rode with us to guide us how to get back to the hotel. (It’s a bit tricky with many one way) Super efficient checking in /checking out. He allowed us to store our luggage in hotel lobby after we checked out. Rooms were spotlessly clean, very homy and specious, coffee machine had water in it already, several tea bags ready to use. We had 2 specious rooms and 1 huge bathroom that you could see top of Vatican. Free water in refrigerator. Location, outside ZTL, so you can bring your car without getting fine. Ciro told me property is part of passage way Pope walks to castle Sant Angelo. So we felt like we lived in Vatican. It’s actually connected on top of the hotel to the Vatican! Ciro recommended where to eat, where not to eat, so many coffee shops around, metro and bus /tram stations so close by. Ciro is also very familiar with catholic events so he knows in advance which roads would be closed for pedestrians or cars. We’ll definitely coming back here if we visit Rome again! This is the 4th time we visited Rome, and this place is the only one I want to come back!

The proximity to Vatican City, and the convenience of numerous eateries, its easy to move around

Generally everything was great. Perhaps a minor suggestion; at the booking website, perhaps show a picture of where the main entrance is, I had some difficulty as it's a shared entrance with others. I was looking for a big sign/flag of sorts identifying the hotel, which wasn't, it was a small name plate at the left of the door. I attach a picture of the main door of the hotel to help other travellers. If u take a taxi that this will not be a problem, but I took a bus from the airport, and the bus stop was not right in front of the hotel. But it's a very minor issue and didn't affect my stay at all. The doorman was very very helpful though he doesn't speak English. Also I traveled alone, am Chinese, but was safe and the owners were helpful. will stay there again if I am heading there.

This hotel is quite exceptional and a piece of history in itself. When I read about a hotel inside the Vatican wall I imagined it would be inside the Vatican City, but the room was actually inside the Vatican wall in a tower built by Cesare Borgia with wooden beams and sloping roof. I have never stayed anywhere like it, it was really amazing. The room is 100 m away from S. Pietro basilica, in the heart of the Vatican. The host was very welcoming helping us find information about the Jubilee year, Easter services in S. Pietro, and where to find authentic restaurants in the area. The whole experience was exceptional.

Beautiful room, very comfortable and spacious. The staff member who greeted us was very understanding of a later than anticipate arrival after stated check-in hours, and he gave us a free bottle of wine as we were staying four nights. Breakfast wasn't on site but was only a minute's walk away in a nice cafe within site of the Vatican's walls. On our final morning, we were lucky enough to wake up to the sound of the Vatican choir singing for Sunday Mass.

The stay was wonderful; it was the perfect location to see the Vatican - you can see St Peter's Basilica stepping out the front door - but that did mean we were a little bit further from the rest of Rome.

You’re staying in a historic location inside the city walls. All of the local taxi drivers and food delivery people who came to our hotel were shocked that people stay in there. One taxi driver physically got out of his car to look in the lobby.

The office and the hotel are separate places and both a little tough to find. Expect a chaotic check in process. You are staying inside walls designed to ward off attackers with swords. It was not built as a hotel. So some design/comfort things may be awkward.

Location was great. We tried both breakfast facilities offered by St Peter's Six and we would recommend the first breakfast restaurant closer to St Peter's Six. It was so good that we went back there for dinner and enjoyed it because of the food and closer proximity to St Peter's Six. I would suggest using it all the time.

The breakfast facility a little further away was not as good and did not offer the same food and quality of service.
