Staff was exceptional. Every one was friendly, most spoke at least some English and Carolina at the front desk was extremely helpful. All very kind. I arrived very early and they had my room ready by 9:30 AM (check-in time was I believe 4 pm!). They held my luggage for me and called me when the room was ready and allowed me to eat breakfast that AM as well. Helpful with directions. Room was nice, clean. Wifi worked well. Rooftop restaurant and breakfast were solid. The neighborhood was quiet and had many small restaurants nearby. It is a bit of a walk to the center of Rome to see tourist sites (it was very close to my work conference), but there is a tram immediately next to the hotel. I felt the room rate was quite reasonable.

I was very pleased - everything was either good or excellent.

We had requested a quiet room in advance, and the staff took the request seriously. We were given a room facing the back which was indeed quiet, and also clean and spacious (main room + mini room, 2 bathrooms), with a comfortable bed. The showers were fantastic - very good pressure - and came with 2-in-1 soap/shampoo. The location is very convenient with a tram stop just outside, including a line that goes to the main station (convenient for travelling to/from the airport) and up to central Rome - both short rides. Walking: 10-15 mins to the restaurants/cafes in Trastevere, 25-30 mins to the point of Tiber River where you can cross over to central Rome. The location is good for those who prefer to be close to the central areas rather than within them.

Very minor: The room refrigerator could have contained a diet beverage.

Trilussa Palace Hotel was in a perfect location for a first visit to Rome. We were very central to all the attractions Rome had to offer a tourist yet the venue was on the fringe of the heavily touristed areas. We thoroughly enjoyed local Trestavere with a grocery store, many trattorias, tram and bus stops, pharmacy and boutiques. Everything you needed was in or near the hotel’s piazza. The local people, hotel staff and other travellers were amazingly helpful whenever we didn’t understand the Roman way of doing things like transport tickets. They spoke English fluently and encouraged our attempts at speaking Italian. After visiting the city’s highlights it was a comfort to return to Trilussa Palace in the evening to distance ourselves from the throng of tourists. It was like coming home. One morning we woke up to see Rome’s largest Flea Market from our balcony. It was set up across the street from the hotel….dozens of tables with tents to protect them mostly from the hot sun in October! Of course we had to check it out, which we did early because by one pm the vendors were disbanding their booths. Trilussa Palace was very elegantly decorated with classic stylish furniture, real modern art and highly polished marble floors. Our room had the same elegant touches but with hardwood floors and a well-appointed modern bathroom with rain shower head, directional wands and fold-down seat should you wish to wash while sitting. The mini fridge was hidden in a wood cabinet where the TV was placed. It matched the desk and wardrobe that also had a small safe.The very comfortable bed was well dressed with a fluffy duvet, luxury sheets and a variety of pillow choices. We spent a lot of time resting in the comfort of our room after each full day of sightseeing.

Rome’s TV stations in English were sadly lacking as well as any programs with English subtitles.

The rain forest shower in our room was amazing. The bed was super comfy! Perfect location for Rome Trastevere train station (a 10 minute walk) and great location for local attractions (30-40 minute walk) staff were great, really helpful. Room was always cleaned when requested.

The breakfast had limited options for vegetarians and unfortunately the hot food was always cold. Would have liked signs for the hot food as well so I knew if I could eat it or not as a vegetarian.

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was great; no complaints whatsoever. The staff was incredible - Carolina was especially helpful with questions about local Trastevere eateries and places to go. The rooftop restaurant and bar was incredible. Alessandro, the bartender, was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening conversations when I'd pop up for a nightcap.

I had the buffet breakfast there once. It was nothing out of the ordinary for "standard" hotel buffet fare.

The spa and the rooftop terrace with the restaurant were excellent. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the food was superb. The room was good, we had one with a balcony on the 6th floor which was very nice. The room was otherwise perfect except for the fact that the doors have absolutely no soundproofing and you could hear everything outside in the hallway. A great experience nontheless. An additional comment on the spa, for which we booked the Mayan experience. It was superb with good saunas suitable even for the demanding Finnish customer (despite there not being a possibility to throw water on the stove, which btw is available in the Domus version of the spa).

The cleaning service was a bit random and not very well organized in our view. Only one less optimal experience with the staff, otherwise perfectly fine.

The reception personnel were really kind. The location of the hotel was great because you are kinda in the middle of Vatican and colosseum and still have nice places in the same neighborhood. The bus stop is almost in front of the hotel. The breakfast was also good.

The room is kinda small but still a good deal for the price. We were hungry and the restaurant said it was open until midnight and while it was, they only let us order drinks and no food.

definitely recommend the asian restaurant close by ! recommed the spa but 30 mins is enough. check in staff is goof with planning bookings in the city. its walking distance to a laundry so use that. its a kilometre walk tot he main Trastevere square. so not bad. good cleaning and good air condition and good comfort overall

I wish it was closer to the main action. we walked anyways 9 kilometre per day and at the night you just want to drop dead because its not too close to the bars and restaurants. there are limited next door. you need to find a place in the centre of the action. much easier to have fun then

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with all needs and questions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. This hotel has amazing amenities with the spa and gym that I would love to visit again

The breakfast selection could be improved with a bit more variety in the fruit offered.

We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and loved it so much that we wanted to return this year for our 6th Anniversary, when we visited before use of the spa was free but I was disappointed to find that this year if we wanted to use then we would need to pay an additional charge The first room we have was bland and we really didn't feel like we were in a lovely hotel but we managed to swap rooms to a better styled room

I did not like the fact that although staying for 5 nights the cups were not washed daily - not that I have an issue washing my own cup but I would have thought that tea and coffee would have been restocked daily but I had to pay 3 euros when I wanted more tea - needless to say I only purchased the once ! When we stayed before we sat in the roof top bar - we stayed the same dates this year but was told the bar was not open till March - Very disappointing
