Hotel Nice is in a perfect location, minutes from the main square with its restaurants, live music (until 11pm only), buzzing atmosphere. And only metres away from the station, perfect for those train journeys to Pompeii & Ercolano. The bed was super comfortable, the staff friendly with good English, a sun terrace with plenty of seating. And we were given a free upgrade to a room with a hot tub next to the bed.

The breakfast could have been better. The orange juice was the powdered variety. Really? Sorrento is surrounded by orange and lemon groves, every urban garden has lemon and orange trees.

The hotel is located just about 5 minutes from the train station and also very close to the city center. You can reach the port in about 10 minutes on foot. The hotel looks just like on the pictures, nice decorations, renovated and also has a terrace overlooking the area where you can sit around. The room was a good size, we had enough space for our stuff, beds were comfortable, bathroom was okay, with toiletries provided. We had breakfast once, for 10 euros you get a good selection of sweet and savory choices. Staff was always nice and helpful. Our room was facing a private garden, so it was quiet which we enjoyed.

The shower was a bit small and the hair dryer was very loud. The elevator was not working when we arrived but they fixed it during our stay. We did not mind taking the stairs so it was no problem for us.

Very near station and a short walk into piazza Tasso which is main square in Sorrento. Everywhere in hotel was very clean and breakfast had a really good choice and a lovely lady working there. It is a family run hotel and it really shows that they care about their hotel and all of their guests. When we arrived we were on 3rd floor and lift was broken. My husband who has health problems struggled with stairs. Next morning they moved us to the 1st floor although lift was fixed that day. The staff couldn’t have been kinder to us during our stay

Great location near the train station, main street of shops & restaurants. We booked a Deluxe double room but were upgraded to a much larger & comfy Suite for our 6 nights. There is a lovely outdoor lounge area on the 2F. We enjoyed our stay there & will recommend it to others. Would return if we get the chance. Staff were most helpful & pleasant.

The lift was very small but enough for 2 persons with luggage. The breakfast room was in the basement, we didn't eat there. Can still hear noise from the street at night some times even when shut windows & shutters. It was impossible to sleep the night when Napoli won the Football final Series A as everyone was partying. Still it was a great atmosphere to experience.

The hotel it self and the rooms are so so cute, very nicely designed and a great vibe. The room was spacious and functional for travelling. Having two outdoor spaces to use was nice. Seemed like a great value for what we paid. A/C worked well. Room was overall clean aside from shower.

The shower and bath were not draining very well, and the shower leaked out into the room, and also didn’t feel super clean. When we notified the staff, they were apologetic and cleaned it up for us right away, but I’m not sure there were plans to actually remedy the facilities. There was a fair bit of mold on the ceiling of the shower and in the seals around the shower too which is not super safe or ideal. Also, the booking.com photos shown when choosing a room may not be accurate, we were expecting a window in our room based on the photos, but there were no windows only a skylight.

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is only one block from the train station. And it is near the center of town, so there were no taxi fares and looking for transportation. We arrived in town a day earlier than our initial plans and were looking of a one night stay. Had I been familiar with the area, I would have made our entire stay in the area in this hotel. I confess that I don't remember too many details because I am doing this review after our return home and we stayed in lots of places during our 30 days in Europe, but I do remember that I really liked this place and would have made our entire stay in this hotel if we hadn't already had paid reservations elsewhere.

The hotel and room met our every expectation.

Perfectly placed for the station and old town. We used it as a base to go to Pompeii on our travels but wish we’d stayed a little longer to explore Sorrento more too. Clean, modern and bright accommodation. Continental breakfast with cereals, bread, toast, jams, croissants, cakes. All fresh and plenty of options. We didn’t use it, but they have a facility to purchase drinks as very reasonable prices. They have a great terrace on the second floor so a perfect spot to have a drink and relax.

First night of our stay (Friday) was very noisy and made sleeping hard. Street noise was very loud, not the hotel’s issue or anything they can change. The second night (Saturday) much quieter. Again, nothing that the hotel can change but it is €25-30 each way to the port in a taxi! Getting to the hotel with bags would have been a huge hike up! We asked reception if there was another way, but there didn’t appear to be apart from walking through the old town to the elevator down to the port.

I stumbled upon this hotel while looking for a last-minute stay for myself and my dad, and I’m so glad I did! Finding Hotel Nice turned out to be a great decision. The location couldn’t have been better—just a four-minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of town, surrounded by shops and amazing Italian restaurants. The standout for me was the cleanliness. The hotel was spotless and had a charming, quaint feel. Our room had a lovely balcony view, which I really enjoyed. Just a heads-up: if you’re a light sleeper or like to turn in early, the street below can get a bit lively in the evening. One of the biggest surprises was breakfast in the morning—it was definitely worth it! Everything was fresh, and there was a generous variety of options. I also want to give a shoutout to the staff, who were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Really nice middle of the market hotel with super helpful friendly staff. A few niggles in that it was hard to keep the room cool. I think this is a legal thing about not being able to run air conditioners in the autumn but I am not sure. Also, the shower made the floor wet. But in general - really nice. The location was ideal for getting around and for popping out for dinner.

We got a but caught out, this hotel like others in the area say they have parking but actually they have a deal with a local parking garage. In this case that is OK but if the garage were full then it could be a big pain. I'd advise being careful in high season.

Breakfast was great and the breakfast lady even without much English was so friendly and helpful. She made fresh juice each morning which was lovely. Location was excellent room was clean but very basic. Staff were nice and polite.

Room was very cold heat worked randomly. I booked an economy room not realizing this ment no fridge no kettle. My mistake but was a pain. The staff were kind to give me milk but I had to take my own cup down 4 floors to the breakfast room for hot water whenever I needed a cup of tea.
