Hotel Nice is in a perfect location, minutes from the main square with its restaurants, live music (until 11pm only), buzzing atmosphere. And only metres away from the station, perfect for those train journeys to Pompeii & Ercolano. The bed was super comfortable, the staff friendly with good English, a sun terrace with plenty of seating. And we were given a free upgrade to a room with a hot tub next to the bed.

The breakfast could have been better. The orange juice was the powdered variety. Really? Sorrento is surrounded by orange and lemon groves, every urban garden has lemon and orange trees.

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is only one block from the train station. And it is near the center of town, so there were no taxi fares and looking for transportation. We arrived in town a day earlier than our initial plans and were looking of a one night stay. Had I been familiar with the area, I would have made our entire stay in the area in this hotel. I confess that I don't remember too many details because I am doing this review after our return home and we stayed in lots of places during our 30 days in Europe, but I do remember that I really liked this place and would have made our entire stay in this hotel if we hadn't already had paid reservations elsewhere.

The hotel and room met our every expectation.

Perfectly placed for the station and old town. We used it as a base to go to Pompeii on our travels but wish we’d stayed a little longer to explore Sorrento more too. Clean, modern and bright accommodation. Continental breakfast with cereals, bread, toast, jams, croissants, cakes. All fresh and plenty of options. We didn’t use it, but they have a facility to purchase drinks as very reasonable prices. They have a great terrace on the second floor so a perfect spot to have a drink and relax.

First night of our stay (Friday) was very noisy and made sleeping hard. Street noise was very loud, not the hotel’s issue or anything they can change. The second night (Saturday) much quieter. Again, nothing that the hotel can change but it is €25-30 each way to the port in a taxi! Getting to the hotel with bags would have been a huge hike up! We asked reception if there was another way, but there didn’t appear to be apart from walking through the old town to the elevator down to the port.

I stumbled upon this hotel while looking for a last-minute stay for myself and my dad, and I’m so glad I did! Finding Hotel Nice turned out to be a great decision. The location couldn’t have been better—just a four-minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of town, surrounded by shops and amazing Italian restaurants. The standout for me was the cleanliness. The hotel was spotless and had a charming, quaint feel. Our room had a lovely balcony view, which I really enjoyed. Just a heads-up: if you’re a light sleeper or like to turn in early, the street below can get a bit lively in the evening. One of the biggest surprises was breakfast in the morning—it was definitely worth it! Everything was fresh, and there was a generous variety of options. I also want to give a shoutout to the staff, who were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Everything was great, just smaller size rooms.

Really nice middle of the market hotel with super helpful friendly staff. A few niggles in that it was hard to keep the room cool. I think this is a legal thing about not being able to run air conditioners in the autumn but I am not sure. Also, the shower made the floor wet. But in general - really nice. The location was ideal for getting around and for popping out for dinner.

We got a but caught out, this hotel like others in the area say they have parking but actually they have a deal with a local parking garage. In this case that is OK but if the garage were full then it could be a big pain. I'd advise being careful in high season.

Breakfast was great and the breakfast lady even without much English was so friendly and helpful. She made fresh juice each morning which was lovely. Location was excellent room was clean but very basic. Staff were nice and polite.

Room was very cold heat worked randomly. I booked an economy room not realizing this ment no fridge no kettle. My mistake but was a pain. The staff were kind to give me milk but I had to take my own cup down 4 floors to the breakfast room for hot water whenever I needed a cup of tea.

The location is perfect, a two minute walk from Piazza Tasso and the historic centre. It was also about 100m from the train station so easy access for daily excursions. The hotel reception is staffed 24/7, the staff are cheerful, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean with floors finished in lovely ceramic tile in shades of blue, white and azure. Typical continental buffet breakfast is included: fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, coffee, tea, lovely Italian pastries and cakes as well as the usual bread and croissants. Room had all of the amenities expected: TV, WiFi, toiletries, hair dryer, wardrobe space, suitcase rack, shelves, a desk, generous night tables on either side of a comfortable bed. Our room even had a mini balcony with a cafe table and two chairs.

A shelf in the bathroom for our toilet bags would have been helpful. Otherwise nothing to dislike.

After 9 days of different hotels I can honestly say was the best; some of the others should be ashamed. Fabulous chatty staff from Reception to lovely smiles and waves from domestic staff. Room (single overlooking garden) was excellent and as requested, very quiet with a very large bed ( in uk its almost a 4'6"" double). All new and so clean and even a usb point by the bed. Fridge, kettle . Outstanding breakfast with the best selection of fresh food to meet all tastes. We normally only eat sweet cakes in an afternoon in uk but i was tempted at the home cooking after my muesli and natural yoghurt. Roof terrace was a bonus.

Bed was higher than normal but really comfortable

Excellent location just a short walk from railway and bus station. Also short walk to actual shopping streets and harbor. Recently renovated hotel (inside) so very neat, clean and functioning. Only downside, if you like, is that outside hotel does not look like much. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Room was very clean and nice and had windows to garden, thus traffic on street did not bother us.

Outside hotel does not look too attractive at all. Services hotel offers are simple. Rooftop terrace was not fully open yet and hotel has storage for laundry and some trash behind a simple fence on a terrace, not too nice.

Location was AMAZING! Literally a 1 minute walk from the train station! It is right on Corso Italia so it is so close to all the restaurants, shops and marinas in Sorrento. Our room was so spacious with a closet-like space that allowed us to put our luggage out of the way. The bed was super comfortable, the room was very clean and the shower in the bathroom was huge! Check-in was super quick and check-out was seamless. Overall amazing stay!
