The hotel's location in connection with the pricing is unbeatable. Vaporetto right out front, Annex is in a quiet side street around the corner, 10% discount with the associated restaurant and a reasonably priced coffee shop right next door. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We bought a bottle of wine at a store and discovered later that it had a cork - i know, stupid mistake xD. A short walk to the reception later i was handed a cork screw with a smile, thank you again for saving the evening for us! The room was clean and comfortable, huge shower!

Absolutely not a big deal but we couldn't get the hair dryer to work. It might very well have been our own fault and we didnt ask for assistance so i wouldn't really consider this an issue - just is the only "negative" thing i can think of.

The location of the hotel was excellent—St. Mark’s Square was only about a 5-minute walk away. The staff were very kind and helpful; when we arrived, they even arranged a water taxi from the train station, so getting to the hotel was super easy. We chose to take a taxi, but ferries from the airport or train station also stop right in front of the hotel, so there’s really no problem with transportation. When we were leaving, the staff even walked with us outside to show us exactly where to catch our ride, which was very thoughtful. Breakfast was tasty and good quality, and since it was buffet style, it worked out perfectly for the kids. The rooms were spotless, and what I loved most about the hotel was waking up in the morning and seeing the stunning Grand Canal view straight from the bed—that was truly amazing. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

It’s not a serious problem at all, just a tiny suggestion—the pillows were a bit thin and firm. Some guests might prefer that, but maybe one of the pillows could be a softer style for those who are used to sleeping on softer pillows. This was a very minor issue and definitely doesn’t change our overall excellent impression of the hotel.

The location was perfect for us because we've put a boat in the marina of Sin Giorgio on the other side of the shore. The room was good, the view was not on the lagoon but they have some . We've paid very good value (16th of July!) on this room thru Booking ... 128 euros all included with breakfast (not in the hotel but 50m from there at the 'Sestano', a very nice buffet and genuine italian cappucino ==> delicious :)) The room was very clean, the shower and temperature of water was perfect (not the kind of you get burned when you put too much hot water), bed a bit noisy with springs but still comfortable. Fridge and locker, tv in the room. The staff was very kind and professional. If I get back to Venice I'll surely take this hotel but with a deluxe 'view' on the lagoon.

The room was at the main floor 5 meters from the kitchen of the bar, sometimes a bit noisy but not that much in any case

No dragging luggage across the city. The location couldn't be better. It's close to St. Mark's square and in front of the hotel is a main Vaporetto stop. The blue line from the airport stops here. Vaporetto line 2 will take you to the Tronchetto to catch the Royal Caribbean bus to Ravenna, or to Piazzale Roma (the bus station) and Ferrovia (Santa Lucia train station). Numerous cafes are a short walk away (the cafe next door had amazing croissants) as well as shopping (my wife found a Zara's by St Marks.) The hotel has an elevator, many don't.

I opted for an inexpensive double room in the annex. The next time I'm in Venice, I'll stay here, but in a larger room. The room was small (about 8x10), and had no dresser. It did have a place to hang clothes and a good size bathroom.

Great location close to St Mark's Square. Friendly and efficient staff who were available to help at all times day and night. Room was accurately described in the booking description. Breakfast is offered at an adjacent restaurant to a good standard that allowed the day to get off to a good start.

Be aware of the number of steps throughout the building even with a lift you still have to contend with a number of steps on each floor level, this is due to the age of the building and that it is part of a number of historical buildings being used at 1 hotel. This hotel would not suitable for those with difficulty walking

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our two and a half weeks in Italy, this was hands down our favorite. Boutique hotel flavor, excellent staff and location, superb restaurant, breakfast, and location. Granted we paid extra for a view of the lagoon, but our son who was in an interior room felt the same way about it. Close to S. Zaccaria vaporetto stop, easy to get to and from the airport and train station, Hotel Paganelli had it all. We are definitely returning to Venice and will not consider another place to stay.

The hotel was extremely well located. If arriving or leaving for the airport via the Alilaguna boat then the dock is located right opposite the hotel. Extremely useful for ease of access with a suitcase. Really close to San Marco Plaza and really convenient for wandering around Venice and then pausing for a quick refresher for some air con and water in the room. Room was really clean and modern. Fantastic views over the lagoon from the room and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly on arrival and happy to accommodate us.

Fantastic location, close to the main tourist hub of San Marco so you don’t have to walk far to see the basilica, but set back on the quiet and picturesque square of San Zaccaria so there were no crowds or big tour groups. The hotel was less than a minute’s walk to the Alilaguna water transport to the airport, which was perfect for an early morning flight. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby if you don’t want to walk too far in the evening, although these do cater more to the tourists and you will get a more authentic experience away from the centre. La Mela Verde is not far and serves delicious gelato. The room was small and not much space to sit and relax, but it didn’t matter as this was perfect for us as we wanted to be out as much as possible, and it was the lower end of the price bracket for Venice. Staff at reception were wonderful, very friendly and helpful, and there is a 24hr presence.

The mattresses weren’t the most comfortable, but if you prefer a hard mattress then this may be a positive!

This was our third time staying at this hotel. It is a wonderful location with a great view. The staff are always generally helpful. Beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious and clean. Water pressure is great for Venice!

We wish the bathrooms were a little larger. Breakfast buffet is only offered in a restaurant around the corner. They have the space for small breakfast there. We wish they would offer there or in-room delivery. Save money and don't pay for breakfast there.

Fabulous location right in front of S. Zaccaria vaporetto stop. Great view of San Giorgio from my room!! Hotel is very nice and breakfast was delicious!! Will stay here again upon my return to Venice!
