Very nicely decorated hotel and rooms in a part of Singapore we have not stayed before. While it is not in the centre of Singapore, it was only a $15 taxi fare (15 mins) to Orchard Rd shopping, and the area had a lot of character. The staff were generally excellent. The rooms were nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The shower and other room facilities were very good - lots of room. The area was nice with a shopping mall adjacent and many good restaurants in the street outside. The infinity pool on the room and the roof terrace were both good. We were very comfortable at this hotel.

Lovely looking room, good breakfast, really friendly and helpful staff

As some other reviewers have commented, the acoustics of the building are awful. It makes a real racket when people in adjoining rooms have a shower, and you can hear noise from the corridors very clearly. Our sleep was often disrupted. This is an unfixable problem and we wouldn't stay here again for this reason. Also, a word of warning: they hold a $100 PER NIGHT deposit on your credit card, 'in case of damages'. As we stayed 3 nights, they held $300. This is ridiculously excessive and not something I have ever encountered before anywhere else.

The staff in the hotell is very friendly and helpful! They listen to our needs and reacted in a prompt way. Location is good. East coast park and Joo Chiat Road are very close to the hotel. Morning walk alone the beach with locals is a very nice experience.

Everything was amazing. Staff are lovely, polite and accommodating. Place was clean and lovely. The perfect stay! Big nice bed, made everyday by the lovely house keeping staff. I even had laundry service done. Came back to the hotel to our freshly made room, messed up the bed. I went out, came back and the fresh laundry was on the freshly made bed once again. Honestly I cannot fault this place and I would love to stay here again if I’m ever back in Singapore. Breakfast was also great!

My only regret, is I never checked out the pool or rooftop bar as I was too busy, but that’s my own fault 😊

A lovely hotel in the heart of Katong, one of the original areas of "old Singapore". Really nice interior design, like a more restrained version of the QT hotels. The hotel rooms were spacious & the bathrooms a cool, quirky design. An added bonus was a separate toilet & bathroom area - great if travelling with a male partner!! The rooftop bar & pool was great, with extensive views. The are two metro stations within a 5 min walk of the hotel, & lots of great bars, eateries & local shopping malls (not the big, flashy, expensive-type malls, but ones where the locals shop). Staff were lovely & super helpful.

Front desk staff a pleasure to deal with. Baba Chews breakfast buffet was excellent and the service top notch. Nice view from large room window. Wonderful unique decor. Bathroom rattan chair and foot soaking pan really useful/nice. Mirrors good for that open feeling. Great rooftop pool - despite the windy weather. Clean. Gym useful and little used in the morning thankfully, since on the small side. Nice shower. Good wardrobe. Best mattress!

Room could use place(s) (hooks) to hang used clothing to air out vs putting in closet. Although the waits were brief, didn't like the elevator. Touchy response to room key card. Often decided to pass my floor. Had to take an extra moment or two to really hold the card flat to the scanner, wait for the light to decisively flash, then make sure the selected floor did not go out afterward. After a while I got the hang of it, but not till after some frustration. Way too much BBC programming and little else. A lateral swivel would be nice - although I'm not a tv watcher really and only turned it on a couple times briefly looking for music.

The staff were fantastic; professional at all times yet so kind as well. the room is SO comfortable and I stand by my opinion that it is one of the most comfortable beds (and pillows) i have ever slept in, in my life. The decor is beautiful and unique and thoughtful. The shower overlooking katong is amazing. The signs in the room to point things out are very thoughtful. The infinity pool is stunning and enjoyable. The breakfast is nice. The lifts are quite quick which is very good. The housekeeping staff are respectful and efficient.

The breakfast is very crowded on weekends around 9, so its a bit chaotic and theres not everything provided, which is annoying if it is included.

Loved the location, a lovely atmosphere in the neighbourhood, everything in walking distance and easily accessible public transport nearby, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the pool was great fun, the bed was comfortable, loved the view, the shower was great, loved the design of the room, it suited the neighbourhood, breakfast was delicious and there were so many options, basically we didn't want to leave.

If I'm being very difficult then I'd have liked the option to sign into a streaming service to the TV, but that's me nitpicking as it really is a fab place to stay.

We loved the layout and pristine cleanliness of Hotel Indigo Katong. The location is outstanding — conveniently close to the airport, nestled in a vibrant and historic neighbourhood, and just a short trip to the city centre. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooftop infinity pool is a highlight, offering stunning views, and the bar serves a fantastic twist on the classic Old Fashioned. The room itself was beautifully decorated — creative, vibrant, and thoughtfully reflective of the rich Peranakan culture and heritage of the area. We especially appreciated the curated amenities, from the locally inspired sweets to the excellent Baccha drip coffee. A memorable and soulful stay from start to finish. Jia Hui was very helpful with our booking / reservation changes. Very grateful and appreciative.

Nothing seriously negative!

Rooms are as all Indigo hotels, not typical design, big windows overlooking Katong and further towards other parts of Singapore. Location is very close to airport. Staff is really great, they manage to fix us early check-in because we were coming from night flight. Katong is nice place where you can eat famous laksa, or just grab avocado toast in some of the restaurants for brunch. Place is full of small shops. Beach is walking distance and has nice place for morning run or just take a coffee. Metro station Marine Parade is walking distance so easily connect with city every day.
