We wanted Thai accommodation (vs a Western style hotel) so we felt like we were in Thailand. It has lush gardens and established trees in an enclosed courtyard and pool area, and it was an oasis where we could unwind and relax in a central location. We stayed for 17 days and there were a lot of families also that came and went in that time. The breakfast had a good range of choices, a lovely dining area and the staff were excellent. The location was ideal in a very nice area in walking distance to the Maya Mall and One Market with plenty of places to eat. Also we had family living there so we wanted to stay in Nimman. Our room had wifi, aircon, comfortable beds, a good shower and bath, seating and a desk, wardrobe and a handy mid size fridge. There was aircraft noise overhead but it was infrequent and did not bother us. Chiang Mai International Airport is nearby but our room was quite quiet. From our deck we saw bird life, a squirrel, small tadpoles; frogs can be heard at night, but we quite enjoyed them. Thai Reception staff gave great service and we were always greeted with a smile. The same went for Housekeeping.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights , and truly enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent, and all the staff were very cheerful and welcoming — whether at the reception, the restaurant, or elsewhere. The structure and design of the hotel gave a peaceful, nature-like atmosphere, almost as if I were staying in a forest. The only minor drawback was the occasional noise from nearby flights, but of course, this is beyond the hotel’s control. I would just suggest a small improvement in the breakfast variety and quality. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return. Thank you to the whole team!

Large spacious room with sitting chairs and a comfy bed. The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early, which was so appreciated after a long overnight bus trip. The location was great. It was quiet but only 100 metres from shops, restaurants and markets. The pool was refreshing and clean. Breakfast was an excellent buffet. The facilities were very clean.

Low flying aircraft to and from the nearby airport, directly overhead. Noisy birds or creatures sqawking all night right under our windows.

Despite some negative reviews, we thought this is a beautiful property. Our room was spacious and we overlooked the pool. Housekeeping was excellent. We asked for softer beds and they put doubled up comforters on the mattresses, which helped a lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, great location in Nimman.

It is true that this part of Nimman is under the airport flight path, but we adjusted to it and the planes did not wake us up. The breakfast was just okay but there are many other options nearby.

Central Nimman location yet very quiet side street with the resort tucked away from the road. So noise from the street and although busy other guests were quiet people. Staff extra helful and friendly.

Not many places to sit around the pool or in the garden area. My room had a big old bath tub taking up half the balcony space with blinds blocking natural light into the room. Best to avoid this type of room if you can

The hotel is beautiful and in a really great location. There are many shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. The pool area is very nice and relaxing. Rooms are clean and spacious.

The blinds in the room don't block out sunlight so we were woken up early each morning. The breakfast is very basic with only a few options. However, it is in line with the cost of the hotel.

A mini resort in the middle of bustling city. Very peaceful with the trees, water and wood building. The room was nice, with an excellent shower. The staff were friendly and helpful in organising transport.

The location was great from the perspective of in the middle of bustling Nimman area: easy walk to shopping mall, lots of restaurants, massage, 7-11. However the main street was so busy with traffic that sometimes difficult to cross. More so as we were there over new years eve and people everywhere. Not a big problem, but the area was BUSY.

Yantarasri Resort is a small paradise in Northern Thai style not far from Chiang Mai University. The hotel looks like a small village around a lush inner garden and the pool. The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is what one would expect in Asia, maybe a bit on the smaller side in terms of choice. However, far enough for me. I would definitely book it again!

Nothing to complain about. I did not walk into the city center from the hotel, but it seems close, i.e. in walking distance.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, fresh pool, good area to walk to Cafés, Restaurant and shops. To go to old town, you will want to take transport

Walls were very thin, one could hear the neighbors breathing. Actually glad, the frogs outside provided some background sounds to cover up the worst from the room neighbors Mattress was hard, then after asking we got a softening lay-on mattress which made it ok

Location and room perfect. Lovely pool area , small but nice to relax around and great to cool off in after a day sightseeing. Hotel is beneath the airport flight path so is noisy from that aspect but it’s not something that bothered me. Lovely and helpful staff.

Breakfast was maybe a little limited on choice, but more than adequate. Plenty of other places locally if you wanted a change from the hotel though.
